Oh man, fuck yeah. I encountered every one of those. Really awesome that the devs are keeping on top of things.
The leaves spewing out of fires is hilarious.
While I was playing Co op today, I had a strange occurrence where a racoon started following me wherever I went. If I stood still, it would just run in circles around me. It was pretty funny.

Sometime in coop when you're not the host there is bug that render the entire map (or smth like that). Happened to a friend when he entered a cave.
I know this thread is old and dying, but I need help. I just purchased this game through Steam, and it simply will not download. When I go to download the game, it just sits there at 'Download Paused.' When I go to manage downloads and try to update it, Steam simply tells me that there was a disk write error when I try to install it on one of my harddrives, and when I try to install it on the other it simply says that there is not enough disk space to download the game, which isn't true, as both of my harddrives combined have over 2tb of disk space left. Can someone help? It's only this game that is having problems, I just installed another game just fine.
Many Steam games don't play properly when installed on any hard drive other than your primary hard drive. Try installing it there, and be sure to restart steam and make sure there are no client updates necessary for Steam. What OS are you running?

That's nice, but I'll still wait a bit. I want the full experience.

But it looks like it's a glitch. Because I couldn't jump into it.
But it looks like it's a glitch. Because I couldn't jump into it.
Terrain has aways been shaky in the forest so far, but if it isn't a glitch it'd be awesome if there was a reason behind it, like a meteor or something that caused the mutations.
But it looks like it's a glitch. Because I couldn't jump into it.
I love how you see a hole and your first instinct seems to be to jump in it.
I love how you see a hole and your first instinct seems to be to jump in it.
It really wasn't. That black hole looks creepy as fuck. I just wasn't able to get closer to it to see over the edge.
The invisible barrier preventing you from jumping in the hole is climbable by the way. That's actually how I took that screenshot at the top of the page. Just hold forward and keep jumping upwards. You can do that on lots of objects in the game actually...surprised they haven't fixed that yet. But anyway there's nothing actually in the hole as of yet, it's just scenery. I'm willing to bet they'll expand on it later.

When you climb back up, there's a bunch of people standing at your rope.
So what happpened with the AI in the end? I recall reading last year it was rad as hell
So what happpened with the AI in the end? I recall reading last year it was rad as hell
They are even better, but I haven't seen any in the new update. But IMO still one of the best AI's in videogame history.
Had to bring this thread back, since progress on the game has gotten better and better and they added shittons of content since almost 2 years ago. Current new update is out:
This patch adds hotkey item selection. You can now place your backpack onto the crafting mat, and assign weapons or items to one of four slots outside of backpack which can be used for quick selection. We added a new late game cannibal type, these are more powerful than the regular cannibals and wear masks made from skin of plane passengers. We also added more cannibals to the villages around the world, and added a new check box for creative mode which will allow you to turn on/off enemies whenever you want. V0.55 Changelog Suitcases around the plane crash site no longer respawn Snow now lands on water in the north area instead of going through Frost damage will no longer occur while player is jumping or actively climbing a rope Fixed spoilt oysters not drop-able from the inventory Updated armor mannequin stealth armor model Fixed a couple rare errors that could prevent a few wall chunks from showing up in saves that suffered data loss after a patch Fixed painted cannibal leader switching to wrong texture on death Fixed animals moving at different speeds depending on current frame rate Fixed arrows sometimes floating when shot into terrain Fixed skin animal animation sometimes not playing if skinning is started immediately after picking up a spear Improved support for updating greeble zones data from old saves, should prevent cases of deprecated data causing error spam and causing severe lag and tons of more stuff
http://survivetheforest.com/
The game is releasing this monday. It has received a pre-release patch yesterday. Unofficial changes: 1. The session browser looks better. 2. Player list w/ ban player is nice (better looking window too). 3. More animals spawning. 4. Lots of animation and graphic changes: Survivial Guide is colored now and looks sharp.  5. Crafting screen has animated objects. 6. Major graphics improvement guys. It's smoother on my GTX970. (Better watereffects) 7. Fixed glitches where you couldn't cutdown sticks/trees. 8. You can find different sets of clothes in suitcases! (Thanks Forrest Gump) 9. Singleplayer, I found a patterened suitcase near the big tree by the yacht, it had clothes in it. 10. The yacht also requires a keycard to get inside of it now. So exciting! (Thanks Forrest Gump). 11. Entrances to caves look much different now (Thanks Forest Gump) 12. They replaced anti aliasing SMAA with TAA(FXAA still there) (Thanks PIM) 13. They added a new graphic option screen space reflection. (Thanks PIM) 14. they changed SSAO type with unity or ampfly(i not sure if they renamed it or they're completely different). (Thanks PIM) 15. They changed ghost buildings(with flashy thing) (Thanks PIM) 16. Cans of hairspray can be used with lighters to make flamethrowers. (Thanks Forrest Gump) 17. Blood on your hands now slowly washes away instead of instantly disappearing in water. (Thanks Forrest Gump) The big release update hits tomorrow. And will probably bring in some really cool things I hope.
