Been thinking of making this for ages ever since I got the plush.
It's legitimately good for mobility though. It's not a replacement for blink, but it is a targeted 900(?) range leap every 5 seconds that stuns on landing. Plus, Earthshaker doesn't need much else and the tank+mana pool aren't useless. Honestly, it might not be worth the 4200, but after blink it's not usually that important what you get on Earthshaker
Forcestaff is a much cheaper alternative if you want about the same mobility. Sure it doesn't stun when you move but if you're any good you can immediately enchant for stun at the end of push.

5s CD compared to a 20s CD?
Cheaper sure, but waaay less mobility overall.
Scepter is core on Earthshaker. There is literally no reason you wouldn't want Scepter as one of your five items, the only thing that's questionable is when you should make it, since you'd usually be far better off getting blink and force staff and then maybe situational items first.
Fuck it just get both
Then you'll be flyin around and the enemies will be like SO JEALOUS
Oh and get an aether lens too because fuck it 900 isn't rangey enough
Ooo and then upgrade Force into Pike because fuck being melee
And then get a Euls so if you're in trouble you can buy time to leap out
And then lvl. 2 travels so you're always in the fight
Here's something to discuss for fun: If you could add one item to the game, what would it be? How do you build it? What does it do? What heros/situations would benefit from it?
Oblivion Staf + Rod of Atos = Rod of Balance, normalizes the stats of you and a target for 10 seconds.
If the enemy (or ally!) has 100 strength 100 agi 100 int and you have 0 strength 0 agi 0 int the target loses 50 in each stat and you gain 50 in each stat.

what do you mean by normalize?
like removes bonus stats from buffs/debuffs/items?

I think I already said it on the last page but an item that combines Rod of Atos with Talisman of Evasion and maybe a small recipe
it would slow movespeed by 60% still but add an attack slow of 60 as well, and both would be for 5 seconds
maybe for a much larger recipe cost it could apply a 100% stop on moving and attacking like Tether or Echo Sabre for the first 2 seconds
Heroes that benefit would obviously be INT cores that previously didn't have a decent option for buying evasion, so you'd buy it on folks like OD, Silencer, Invoker, Lina, etc. and really anyone that you would have bought Atos on anyways like Skywrath
It's a tankiness based item for people who want intelligence but can't afford a mystic staff all at once for a Shiva's guard

It should slow movespeed but instead of slowing attack it should add a high miss chance when they attack (like 40% or higher)
Al-Qaeda's Turban: Makes Techies good again
Veil+deso=Bane of Resistance; it reduces armor and magic resist by 15% and 5% for each enemy hero and 1.5% and .5% for each enemy unit in a 700 AoE for 3 seconds, respectivly.

I wanted to do something different from Halberd's disarm or Solar Crest's blind and since Atos already had a slow it seemed like a natural extension
[editline]9th May 2016[/editline]
plus it seems a little redundant since you already have the evasion from the item itself, which would probably be about 30% (between naked talisman and butterfly)
Every necro on my team ever: "mobility? lol how does that help me get scythe kills"
and the second time some peruvian last pick randoms and demands a lane that's already taken, I'm never getting out of here :suicide:
My original build for necro tm: Brown boots > Blink dagger
Works every damn time, and the only way you can lose is if you have apes on your team
I know this is going to sound stupid but what it the idea behind a blink dagger on Necro?
Blink on someone and
death pulse?
I know there's obviously something I'm not seeing here but the obvious blink carriers always have either strong disables or extreme burst damage and I don't really see how Necrophos does either tbh

Positioning for nuke/heal, chase, catchup for blink->scythe pickoffs
Oh I see so it's more like for a follow up strike to hit all enemies and allies with your Q rather than be the actual first initiator to go in?
watched a 7k game where an alch still used manta/radi and had 600gpm :goodjob:

Yes that's the idea, Unless you farm a blink and dagon ridicolously fast, you won't be doing any burst, your teammates will be doing that. And another thing people forget is how frail necro is, that's why you wanna hang in the back and only blink in when needed.
I just realized I literally haven't seen a single Brewmaster in a game of Dota 2 in like 4 months at least
With Bloodthorn introduced he's probably even worse off now
Brew is in the top 10 heroes for winrate in 5k+
[t]http://i.imgur.com/ZrTBvjM.png[/t]
but yes he does have a low pickrate and I haven't seen him
Had a pretty amusing game. Boy, I don't play as much Dota as I used to.

I randomed LC, Doom marked jungle and said "I was about to pick LC, swap me". Laughed at his idea and went mid.
Phantom lancer constantly bitched at me, yelling "stop farm" 15 min onwards, telling I didn't know how to LC. I guess what happened is that he died few times top and had time to watch me while I was pushing rest of the map.

I've seen Brew a couple of times during the last months.
Both were when I randomed him.
i'm surprised his pickrate is that low. he's a really fun hero and he's very simple to play apart from the split micro, which is fairly straightforward too
Loving being able to ban in AP, and lately I have been noticing how much others die, hard to win when one guy is far away from the team at all times, jumps into 5 then screams WHERES DA TEAM HURRRR.
Wonder why i even bother looking at the minimap if most of the time nobody pays attention to others warnings, or bother staying safe if someone else will feed 10 deaths to the carry anyways.
its garbage in my opinion, if you're building necro like that you're literally a walking ult and its a waste of a hero, build him tanky asap or go home; especially now that hurricane pike exists i'd rather have that as a mobility item
If you think Blink is exclusive to a shotgun Necro you are extremely horribly wrong
its garbage in my opinion, if you're building necro like that you're literally a walking ult and its a waste of a hero, build him tanky asap or go home; especially now that hurricane pike exists i'd rather have that as a mobility item
Which is the point of hero, you don't pick him for his tankiness but for his ultimate, and regardless of what you build early on you're not going to be tanky anyway, so blink is def. the best option for shutting down opponents and makes you dangerous way earlier than usual.
Also, can anyone remind me how is Lion balanced again
Go AM or Huskar and tell magic damage to GTFO
Yahnich, what do you think of Euls Necro then? I usually rush it after wand and boots, into wind lace and the rest of it. Tell me if you think it's garbo or whatever, just wanna know.
Necro is literally a walking ultimate though, all your core items are based on your ultimate.
