When we paused, because it's battle cup, we assumed it'd be ok to go take a bathroom break while we wait for our team member to reconnect so when they unpaused we got wiped.

The last one and these fucking SA inbreds ruin it because they can't handle losing.

This is why I stopped playing Dota and now just watch pro games whenever a good tournament is on.

Dota is fucking stressful yo. It's stressful to play, stressful to get better at, stressful to dedicate inordinate amount of time to. I genuinely don't know how I kept playing Dota and other games like it for nine fucking years. At this point I'd rather just dedicate my time to games I like to think I'm actually good at, and take less of an emotional toll.

I also think Dota is a harder game to learn from losses because they can come from things that are not even your fault. Carry didn't farm enough? Stupid initiation? Low to no wards? Bad itemization? Refusal to communicate? Not every factor of a loss comes from the single person playing with four others so if someone looks back on all of your games, "you" might not even be the reason the game went bad. It's one thing to have losses from "game was close, we tried our best, they were better" but most losses seem to come from "why the fuck did Slark build a Vanguard first".

On a personal note, I've [I]never[/I] had a 50% win ratio in Dota so I don't even know what it feels like to win [I]half[/I] my games.

Yeah, except when you try to be civil with some, or even most people, in game ("hey maybe you shouldn't build Butterfly first on Spec, Manta and Diffusal are pretty good") then you get the finger from then and spend the rest of the game in turmoil with that person. It's one thing to be an asshole out of the gate but it's another when you're trying to not be and actually give out some good advice to help your team win and it's just thrown back into your face. Analyze your play. No one else's. You can always improve. It may not be why you lost but you can always look for mistakes

As an example, if you have a retarded dumbfuck dying a dozen times in the off lane at the 10 min mark, instead of getting angry at him, get angry at his dumb ass while figuring out how you could have prevented this. It is always preventable unless he is outright feeding, which never actually happens for a regular person whose goal was to win the game. If you don't have the awareness and know-how to figure out how to help him in the game itself, watch the replay and look for blatant openings where something could have been done.

Feel free to get as angry as you wish while hating every single person in the match, but don't say a word in chat if the goal is to win the game.
