[QUOTE=joshuadim;51009969]I believe I'm starting to make my way out of the trench finally.
In just one day I've raised my mmr from 1559 to 1632[/QUOTE]
I calibrated at 2.6 and moved up to 4.2~ So anything is possible.
Not played in like 8 months tho V:v:V
Treant does very little damage with spells, isn't designed to right-click and to do even some semblance of damage you need setup and a 4.2k gold item. Buffs to his defensive abilities won't help much.

MoM and Phase Boots is all you need.
Treant is just a very weird hero not just in his atypical right click damage and attack time but mostly because of his lack of real focus as far as his role is concerned
He has 1 good defensive/healing ability but that alone doesn't put him in a defensive support role like Omniknight or Dazzle
He has a decent initiation disable but no damage or secondary disable to follow up with
his starting damage is hilarious but that's really all it his since he is a melee hero with unreliable mobility at best and the slowest attacker in the game
none of his 4 abilities are in any way linked to each other or are useful together unless you count his invis allowing him to go through his enormous ult cast time without breaking it
I love the Tree Man but I have to admit that I can only justify picking him with the fact that he's just fun and i like him as a character. As much as I like his very unique aspects (only hero that can heal towers!) I wouldn't mind him seeing a rework to have a more definitive role
That would be cool if his invis spell used charges. Something like 1/2/3/4 charges so he could quickly hide his team. Kinda like a cheap mirana ult.
Dota Classic, the remake of the original eul map, that I showed here already:

What an honour!!!
The best idea I can come up with for Treant spell interaction that wouldn't involve a genuine overhaul would be an addition to leech seed: if an enemy unit dies while under its effect, the seed sprouts and forms a tree right on the spot the unit died at
can make for an easier escape after getting a kill if you're fighting near a more open area since the grace time is pretty generous and you just need to be near a tree when you first cast the invis
also can create potentially interesting places for Eyes in the Forest if the trees remain until destroyed
someone said earlier that he should be able to create trees but in a way that wouldn't create blocking barriers and I think this is a decent solution since getting creeps or enemy units to line up next to other tress as they die would be impossible
[editline]7th September 2016[/editline]
maybe after buying aghanim's, any tree created by Leech Seed would automatically sprout up as an Eyes in the Forest tree
I think instead of doing something simple like adding 40/80/120 damage per second to his ultimate that it would be better to add something interesting like his ultimate being directly dependant on nearby trees and having ridiculous potential at some points but being entirely useless if there are no trees nearby, this in addition to his guise being cheaper/lower cd/longer duration/all would probably be enough because armour is a good spell in its own right.

I had this same idea but I wasn't a fan of total dependence to the point of being either op or useless so it ended up more like this:
-aghanim's scepter no longer gives damage, but the trees still give permanent vision and spread his ult all over the map
-Overgrow now does damage per second based on the number of trees in the AoE on cast, but caps at around 3 or 4 trees so you don't get a guaranteed team wipe just by casting in in the jungle
the idea being that getting the bonus tree from a leech seed kill would directly contribute to the ult being better
it's still not meant to be an Epicenter type spell so the damage would be like 50/75/100 dps per tree capping at 4 trees
at level 11 you can hit 300 dps with max trees, the same damage Aghanim's currently gives you
wait i didn't take the duration into account, level 6 with 4 tress would put out an AoE finger of death
I'm not great with numbers someone help me balance this
wow wtf why did I think overgrowth did 300 dps with scepter that's twice the actual amount
[editline]7th September 2016[/editline]
muh merge
[editline]7th September 2016[/editline]
also a 20/30/40 damage per tree at a 5 tree cap for 3/4/5 instances comes out to, under ideal conditions with 5 trees around, 300/600/1000 damage, before reductions
does this seem about right? out side of pairing with Sprout or a cheesey Iron Branch strat i doubt the max numbers would be used in a typical cast, and a quick action from a timberaw or beastmaster could make you just hit for no damage
[QUOTE=Yahnich;51015506]tree ult now destroys all trees on the map, giving 1 damage per tree while he holds them in a tree spirit ball[/QUOTE]
A Genk-tree dama?

2491 damage if no trees are destroyed.
2580 if KotL and Furion combine forces to cast Sprout 4 times (it's possible if Furion has Refresher Octarine and KotL has Refresher, you go Chakra->Sprout->KotL Refresh->Chakra->Sprout->Sprout->Furion Refresh->Sprout).

Don't forget the iron branches! Each player in the team can hold 6 branches, except Furion and KotL. So let's say 6 x 5 - 3 = 27 more trees for a total of 2607 damage.
or you can have the players in both teams sitting in their fountains buying and placing iron branches. and don't forget about rubick stealing sprout
I just love how I get to 1677 mmr, my highest yet, then i happen to come across the stupidest teammates ever and lose 5 games in a row, resetting me to 1560 mmr, losing all the gains i had made
fuck this game

2580 actually does account for Branches (6 from 8 players, 4 from Furion, and 5 from KotL), I was just super tired at the time and forgot to actually list it...
What about Rubick with spell steal (+ refresher) and Morphling with Hybrid (aghs + refresher)

2580 - 3 + 32 = 2609
Kinda new to dota, I've got a few questions.
What should my average GPM be for a new player, and how rare are "very" rare items in chests? That 40K doom set looks cool af.
its best to wait a few weeks (or months) until the treasure contents get on the market. they're normally a lot cheaper there.

1437[/quote]Jacky Mao, this is not a team of "relatively unknown players" at all.
Well, I have a new favorite team to watch when I want to see someone lose spectacularly.
While EE is aN amazing player, but he still manages to completely throw games consistently.
Why anyone joins teams with him is beyond me

That team is probably several peoples last shot at being on a top tier Dota team.

All those names are on the verge of irrelevancy, they're backed against a wall.
