I've always dreamed of making custom heroes, but the only way I know how to edit spells is to change certain values, not actually make new abilities.

Like when I was first getting started I just couldn't stop bitching about how user unfriendly it was. The game really wants you to use the data-driven system alongside lua functions but I rather just code things in raw lua. It's basically a system where if you solo work on your own custom gamemode, you're going to pull out all your hair because of how long it actually takes to code 4 simple abilities for a hero. Like I really want to make my own dota 2 imba clone, but I rather not do it on my own and I rather not be the leader of such a team.

The reason why this isn't picking up is because people are focusing on the fact that Baumi bitches too much, the dota 2 subreddit doesn't like drama, and that there are many many many incredibly loyal fanboys to imba. I think this will start to pick up once the gamemode gets banned from the Steam Workshop for violating the Steam Subscriber agreement. Hopefully there isn't going to be a witch hunt on Baumi. I'm talking a longer cooldown spell that makes disposable units that act like real bees, but deal large nuke damage. I've been working on my custom hero [url=http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=746565118]Hylonome[/url] for about a year and I've gone through tons of ability changes that have all been fully functional. Half the fun of creating a custom hero is just coding random abilities to see what feels cool and what doesn't. If you have any questions feel free to ask me as well.

Thank fuck for those nerfs, watching MDL for the last few days was boring as hell with all of the same picks every game. November seems like a good target for the 6.88 update, anything before that will be even better.
They keep trying to nerf Arc Warden but they don't know how. They need to make the slow from the double not stack directly and then he should be fine

It risks getting removed from the workshop so I'm not sharing any of my ideas with the imba reddit community until the creator matures and removes the coded ban. As of now, I'm just working on a portfolio of heroes to make so I could go on reddit and ask if there are any imba-like game modes that need an extra hand.
