if you dont like support PA why dont you like a nerf/patch that reduces the strength of support PA
the strengths of core PA are still the same
i was mostly joking about this one update in particular cus i just want a little techies change
but my point still stands
as every version goes on, dota keeps distancing itself from what is was
it keeps getting more silly and quirky and i hate it
there really hasnt been anything "quirky and silly" since the happy little trees that i can really point out but i guess thats personal
i dont see any of the nerfs on there as quirky im on board with almost all of them besides the complete removal of centaur passive on illus and flame break not stopping tps
The game has been the most balanced its been since release with all of these recent patches. If you miss the unbalanced shitshow it used to be where a handful of heroes dominated without challenge then I honestly couldnt be happier you have lost interest.
I like that it's changed into a true battle of skill and wit rather than who picked fucking bloodseeker or slark or some other broken hero
I'm getting gud guys
I've gone up like 300+ mmr in the past week

My laptop is awful and in the process of dying so I haven't played Dota for a few months.
I should have a new one around Monkey King though!

Icefrog obviously doesn't like the risk free illusions taking towers strat and it's been getting nerfed pretty much every patch; illusions' dmg to buildings, arc warden, sd, etc.

does weaver q proc timber reactive armor
does weaver q proc timber reactive armor
It does not.
My thoughts on the new UI changes:
The damage numbers are just stupid clutter. It's fucking ugly and helps nobody.
The stun bars also remove a small element of skill from the game (effectively chaining stuns.) It's one of the smaller things that once you get better at, you feel good about it y'know? Now you've got a bar that automates the process and it feels a little soulless. I would honestly rather having my 2k support fuck up chaining his stun then making it almost impossible for everyone to fuck it up now. Seriously, you'd have to beyond trench tier to not be able to chain your stuns now.
Anybody else feel the same way?

Before these UI changes, you could still see when a spell ends by clicking on the player and looking at their status effects. It was pretty crude, but it worked. The UI changes just makes it easier to view that data.
The text creates a lot of clutter

bars are fine by me
It's like saying there's nothing wrong with displaying enemy mana under their hp bars, it was left out on purpose to make it harder and less readily available information, but I've no doubt that the game crawls ever closer to that and more.

Is this an accidental leak of the 6.89 Patch Notes?
how do you overcome the language barrier of not having teammates that speak your language

Use alt-click information. Use quickchat. Tactical ping usage. If all else fails, learn the language

But you could always check stuns on the debuffs bar when checking heroes
You've never been able to see mana
Making one thing more visable=/= making something visable in the first place

I don't get your point, it's literally the same thing.
You see both their mana and how long the stun lasts by clicking on them.

I had to learn some basic spanish just in the occasion if I have a team of peruvians.
(And I did and we absolutely stomped the enemy)
Ok the damage numbers are not well implemented and not useful at all. Try hitting a training dummy as silencer with glaives. What I'm really wondering is why are these half thought out and poorly implemented things in the main branch of the game? We have a test version for a reason right? Push them there first ffs
anyone that says "muh skillcap" is actually retarded, dota is an immeasurably complex game and there is really nothing wrong with making it slightly easier; for every complexity a game has you need to remove another, only thing i dont like are the damage numbers, not because of muh skill cap but because it's just white noise and clutter
the fact that people don't have to count to 2 anymore in their head is apparently a retarded game decision.
not to mention that stun duration information was already available if you just clicked on the hero.
That stun timer bar is completely obnoxious. I'm watching dotapit and more than few times I thought hero was dead but no, it's just last few ticks of the stun timer and place were hp is supposed to be is black. Stun times out, bar is half red suddenly.
The stun bar should only show for the person stunned.
Do not show the bar to other people, as it makes chainstunning extremely easy when compared to previously chainstunning individuals (by checking the timer on the debuff by selecting the unit that was stunned.)
