what else would you max second? his Q gains basically nothing useful from levels (only a minor damage increase, especially compared to the damage increases his W and E get)
tbh I really think it should get a cooldown reduction with levels
that way with a short enough cooldown he could use it as a consistent escape and could offlane or something

Edit: guy was roleplaying, he picked techies and played well, good mine placement, and we lost because our cores were braindead.
Something i still don't get is how one can play so many games of dota and still have zero awareness, I see shit like TPing into a tower 5 enemies are attacking while having not eammates near or going to the middle of the map without vision then dying instantly.

I got a guy "roleplaying" like that a week ago and I just straight up told him he wasn't funny
I felt bad afterwards because he turned out to be a rad dude during the match but like why go through the trouble to make me mad during the picking phase for no reason

he picked Wyvern and selected the safe lane and said "I CARRY" and demanded our alchemist give him an aghs and didnt let up until after the match actually started
i hate these overdone jokes
friend of mine invited a guy who was total shit, and his dotabook feed was full of posts like "dropped 500 mmr again epic :( :(" and "why does valve give me shit cores all the time"
so during the match someone paused and he started allchatting "cyka blyat ruski vodka xD" Oh wow what a funny joke, even funnier hwen I heard it the 780th time
i'm pissed

getting linkens first on medusa is almost as bad as getting manta on her
it should not be your default first item in any case unless you for some reason really need that spell block

Since he benefits from attack speed a Mjollnir wouldn't be bad at all, but I don't know about the other UAMs. Skadi could work but you would need to make every other attack poison and every other attack non-poison to get the most use of it. Desolator doesn't really benefit him at all.

Oh right, I forgot about that.
In that case I'd go for Skadi, Desolator still doesn't benefit him since such a large part of his damage is magical, and he doesn't really [I]need[/I] a lot of lifesteal (plus with his somewhat low physical damage output, Satanic wont heal enough to make it worth it) but Skadi allows you to just stack slows enough to immobilize enemies.

It's actually pretty decent, especially since people like to underestimate Ursa in lane. You can very quickly turn overeager mids into free kills.
I didn't know Manta Medusa was that bad.
Back in the day, the go to "This is what you do" rule of thumb for Medusa was if it has an ultimate orb on it, build it.
A friend of mine swears by MoMedusa.
I'm actually eager to try it. It sounds cool.

heres how to make that actually usable. get 2 of the mana regen items. probably aquilla bottle since soul ring doesnt sound good (225 ehp increase for 800 gold with some mediocre stats. 4Head). get dragon lance, because its the best item this patch. get MoM. now u have actual damage to multiply and lifesteal off of. plus you have a longer range to make your mom less risky. follow up with more damage.
theres no reason to go half way glass cannon and then follow up with an item that adds nothing to you. you dont even get damage. at least when a str hero builds heart he gets the strength. good lord
Alchemist players never fail to fucking dissapoint me, I know the hero can be good, but god damnn I see a good one with decent GPM and a good build once in a blue moon
