It's really starting to hurt. I can't even combo correctly on my favorite/best hero, Phoenix. I used to have that shit down so well and I could get it off so fast, but now I'm like "Ok dive first then fire birds then stop dive, wait shit i forgot shivas better use that. Ok good now drop the fire birds WAIT I forgot veil god damn shit im dying and i didnt use any birds fuck it ult anyway"

Is there a way to quickly turn on/off auto-cast abilities? I love playing Enchantress but I keep having to click on her ult to toggle it on or off, which is really annoying.

Can I do bot matches to fulfill my quests? I've lost three times in a row now trying to do even the first quest. I really want that windrunner set
It'd be effortless against bots.
I am starting to frequently run into teams that insta-lock Legion Commander and Spirit Breaker. Different people, same two heroes on every team I go against. It's like some sort of hive-mind plaguing the US West Servers. And it doesn't help that we always end up feeding and losing, it's gotten to the point that it's starting to have in impact on my mental health. Even their initials SB and LC are starting to trigger me hard.

Reminds me of the time when I, alongside 4 complete newcomers, played Dazzle in a bot match and went blink, manta, medallion and I'd blink on top of a bot, use the medallion and manta and then heal myself.
Inefficient, ineffective and all around a bad build; it was really fucking fun.

I think that's a WC3 leftover, almost everything had a short delay there to make the game fairer for those with bad internet connections.

Actually it's probably there because laguna blade and finger of death are both super strong single target nukes, so if the enemy team builds the correct items (Manta,Euls) the ability can be dodged
I am sure this will spark some interest: I have ported the original eul 3.76d Warcraft 3 map to Dota 2! One of the very first Dota maps ever, the original eul-versions from which everything started. Before Allstars, before Guinsoo, before Icefrog, before Dota 2, before LOL, before HON, Before HOTS.
Now one could argue what the first MOBA was. Some say it was AOS, but it just had the absolute core basic concept though (moving a slightly better unit to the enemy base together with a group of computer controlled ones).
eul dota introduced the fantasy theme, the items, the iconic layout etc.
One could say, in RTS terms, AOS was like Herzog Zwei, while eul dota was Dune.
Herzog Zwei is considered to have pioneered the absolute basic RTS concepts, while Dune is considered to be the first true proper RTS game where most elements of modern RTSes can still be found.
Well, anyway, here's the map:

Search on the in-game Dota 2 arcade for "Dota Classic" to play it.
All the orginal mechanics are there:
*All items fully shareable
*Killing a barracks stops the respective production
*Secret river shop
*Morbazan (secret quest)
*Special exclusive items tied to scourge/sentinel
*Warcraft 3-like corpse system to make the undead-spells work
*Hero-selection tied to factions
*Gold-transfer between players
All original heroes ported, with the exception of four. (they will get ported too, just a bit later)
With the exception of the infravision-dog (coming soon) all items ported, all spells and the old layout.
Some things not completely aligned with the original yet:
*mega-creeps still there (weren't in the original)
*Leshrac is not a 100% copy, as is Luna's ultimate (working on that)
*Some stats of the neutral creeps and their respawn-timers
*Some damage types could be wrong (magic instead of pure etc. - that's just because so many of them got ported, 28 * 4! Some mistakes are inevitable)
Apart from these few outliners, which will be resolved, the experience is pretty authentic.
So, if you always wanted to experience how it all started, you have the chance now

guys if you dont play arc warden then you should start because he's both good and incredibly fun to play
you can go aquila -> brown boots -> midas -> blink -> maelstrom -> travels -> orchid (or sometimes orchid before travels) -> bloodthorn -> mjollnir -> hex -> whatever, you're literally good at all stages of the game and your clone can jump and kill supports while not losing anything in process
I can't wait to use this hero to inflate my mmr and then lose it all when attempting to play any other heroes

You didn't contribute enough tower damage, you had 64 last hits at the 20 min mark (32 at the 15 min mark), you started with quelling blade and bought pms in sideshop instead of opposite, you used your ulti 10 times in a 53 min game (not once on the invoker it looks like), you didn't attack move a single time in that game, you didn't get a single point in spell shield until level 10 against a magic nuker team, you thanked your opponents for waiting when someone on your team dced.

You're just gonna last hit lane creeps, the off laner will likely hit you in the mean time making the shield more useful, 6 agi is good enough for the first wave of creeps, it helps you trade hits with whatever dangers you cross paths with at the beginning of the game.
So a friend and I decide to do some ranked Dota and we're both on Team Speak. Early on his mic goes and asks for a pause. We pause, and the russian fuckwits on the other team ignore the pause and continually unpause, up to the point that he's 'abandoned'.
I keep telling everyone that he's coming back, but the Russians have none of it and refuse to pause. When my friend comes back on the chat he realizes what's happened and is pissed off at OUR team and left before I could explain what exactly happened. Our team, reasonably pissed off at him now, decide to report him while I plead to them to wait that he's coming.
My friend returns one last time having somewhat fixed his mic, but after I told him that he might have been reported, he says 'fuck this' and leaves for good.
Needless to say we lost, and the BristleBack that kept feeding my friend's Alch didn't help at all.
