he was previewed in a secret quest in patch 6.79 of dota 1, which historically meant that he was going to be added in the next patch. (Tauren Chieftain aka Elder Titan was previewed in 6.59 and released in 6.60, and Phoenix was previewed in 6.69 and released in 6.70)

it's been more than 3 years since Icefrog designed a new hero for dota (apart from monkey king), so i'm sure he's been able to come up with a lot of really cool hero ideas. I can't imagine that he would prefer to rehash an old hero that was removed from dota 1 for being inherently broken and stupid

I am honestly waiting for the baby rage that comes from DotA players who live under a rock that will go as far as to say DotA's trying to copy LoL even more now. And vice versa for LoL fans using Monkey King as as an excuse to say that their game is better because Dota has to "copy" heroes. But here's the thing, MK was an original concept of Icefrog from the start. He may be late, but now we get to see the arrival of the first, true, Sun Wu Kong the Monkey King.

if wings bring their A game, itll be a clean sweep. They're a step above every team at TI atm possibly excepting PPD figuring out how to counter them. Which would be really hard considering wings have drafted every strat you can think of and owned with it.

I mean it was strong like a patch ago (I don't think either got nerfed) no reason to expect 2 farming team fighters to not preform vs a draft that has 0 teamfight outside of epi
