since windows 10 has native dolby atmos support now thanks to the creator update, would it be a good idea to use that on VR games?
its basically a proper Spatial Audio maker. Overwatch has it built in and it makes the game way better sound-wise (gotta enable in settings).

This is old news, was posted here before and is also what I have.
Reggie Watts's and Justin Roiland's Altspace show is on in 8 hours if anybody wanted to check it out.
This was funny as fuck by the way. They had leg tracking and there's just something golden about Reggie Watts sitting on the floor and sliding around the map and going off on his own while constantly giggling under his breath.
There's another encore tomorrow if anybody missed it.

The games still need to support it explicitly and it only currently works for xaudio2 and UWP games.

HTC started making significantly smaller cases for the Vive like 4 months after release last year. As for the weight reduction (as light as the rift) and Lighthouse improvements, those are very, very recent.
They aren't very significant changes though

What game
https://uploadvr.com/xbox-boss-project-scorpio-vr-devs-will-not-sign-exclusive-deals/
Xbox head says no exclusitivity deals for vr games on scorpio
“My approach is to try and take a more open and inclusive approach to VR,” Spencer added. “The problem is the other people who are creating closed ecosystems are probably not going to like that. They’re probably not going to want to play.”
Is Oculus still backing the VR component of Scorpio, or has Microsoft shifted that off to other companies a la Windows 10?
Windows is trying to do their own VR headsets with AR capabilities and is trying to eliminate roomscale restrictions so any place can be a viable spot for VR.
they call it world scale

The Creators Update has their own VR drivers baked into the OS and has a mixed reality section in the OS. (type "Mixed reality portal" in your start menu and it should pop up)
Mine pops up, but it doesn't load anything. Is the Rift not a compatible headset?

Oculus might be showing their newest standalone headset prototype at F8.

Oh my god, using those horsies is the perfect movement mode.
Anyone else here own Home Improvisation? I just picked it up and I'm unable to play the game properly in VR. My controllers aren't detected. I've tried the normal round of troubleshooting, and I'm wondering if it works for anyone else...
Man Audioshield is a tonne of fun.

I was playing Mount & Blade the other day and was thinking to myself "holy shit this'd be great in VR." I imagine it as a much slower version of that and tbh I'd lose hours and hours of my life to it.
New quest coming to Rec Room, this time it's space lasers instead of swords.

About time, Quest has gotten really stale and the rewards aren't too great either.

Would buying a Vive on an interest free payoff be a good idea? I have a GTX 770
Is there a place to get avatars for VRchat? All I can seem to find are tutorials on how to make my own.

I don't think that will cut it, but what do I know? Run the test: http://store.steampowered.com/app/323910/
People say games like flight sims and VR gun ranges arent that demanding, is that true?
[editline]17th April 2017[/editline]
I can easily afford a 1070 or a 970 though if anybody thinks that will cut it
