I really want to buy a vive. But I can't decide if I should.. I've waited this long because I wanted to wait for the second version. But now I really feel the urge to get it. I just don't know if it's worth it. It feels like I won't use it that much because of the lack of games I want to play. Google earth vr would be nice to try, but for how long? A few hours at most I guess. And then there's hot dogs horseshoes and hand grenades. That will probably be fun but I could definitely see my self get bored with it quickly too. I guess there are a few more titles I want to play, like dcs world, Assetto Corsa etc. I have already played those on the DK2 though. What do you say, do you feel like it's worth all that money? Anyone here regretting their purchase?
It's probably not totally worth the money, but it is mind blowing, and you will not regret it. And you know, you can always sell it and buy the newer one? That's my plan at least.
I've noticed with the headset itself that the screen gets warm even when it's not being used so I'd recommend unplugging everything when it's not being used.
That's on purpose. If the screen isn't warm enough, then the lenses will end up fogged up while you wear them. I remember trying to play a game immediately after plugging in the headset and having to wipe the screen every minute.
Palmer's first tweet since 2016 is about Sword Art Online, why am I not surprised?
Super Hot is so much fun but I wish I had a bigger play space, because I keep hitting my controllers off of shit. I already hurt my hand lol

Did they say how much the rick and morty game would cost? I'm not seeing anything on the steam store.

any word on how much content is in it? i've been spoiled by the appropriate or free prices of funded games, but so many others cost way more than they should adultswim isn't really an indie studio, but the question remains

Anybody here play driving sims? What's the most realistic? I don't have a VR headset, I'm just curious. It would be fun to have an accurate simulation without fucking up cars in real life.

Assetto Corsa and iRacing are great.
Seems Facebook is making strides with 360 video recording: https://uploadvr.com/facebook-surround-360-x24-hands-on/ , as in actually making volumetric recordings instead of all that flat shit.
[vid]https://thumbs.gfycat.com/FlippantEnlightenedDartfrog-mobile.mp4[/vid] and it allows 3D editing of the recorded videos

but its so expensive
Anyone here with social anxiety had any luck with improving it through VR? And if yes, have you had any improvement to your social anxiety in real life or has it only improved in VR interactions?
Anyone here with social anxiety had any luck with improving it through VR? And if yes, have you had any improvement to your social anxiety in real life or has it only improved in VR interactions?
Most of the time, I still find myself hesitating talking to people, mostly because they're in a group and I feel like i'm intruding, so I just sit there.
I'd say BigScreen is a great way to find strangers to talk to, but half the users say NOTHING the ENTIRE TIME.
I like the concept of bigscreen but it seems really pointless when headsets are still really low res.
I'd say BigScreen is a great way to find strangers to talk to, but half the users say NOTHING the ENTIRE TIME.
I have met a few cool people on Big Screen, we chill and watch shows and play some games. It's easier when it's just one person and they tend to initiate the conversation.
I like the concept of bigscreen but it seems really pointless when headsets are still really low res.
I hear this a lot but I never agree. It's more than good enough to watch videos together on a big virtual screen; a 1080p video comes out great when it's using most of your headset's pixels. [editline]20th April 2017[/editline] the bandwidth however, ruins video streaming in it but supposedly that's improving with coming updates
The only time I've been on it was people playing Civ 5 and I don't even know how they could read the UI.

I can only imagine how many hours did this took him(?) to make and the gallons of sweat running through his(?) headset and face the entire time doing this.
The Rick and Morty VR game is fucking great, probably one of the best experiences I've had with a headset so far.
