bridge crew looks so fucking good https://www.twitch.tv/lirik (browse the videos and clips tabs if he's not streaming it anymore)
Facepunch Crew NOW. Does this game have cross-headset play, or am I locked into a marketplace?
PSVR, Oculus and Vive users can all play together.
Played in a random crew, it was great fun. We did 2 missions and finished the second with 14% hull integrity as our helm was busy un-fucking the ship after getting stuck on a wreck. One used Vive, I used the Rift, and two were with PSVR. [editline]30th May 2017[/editline] The cockpit was on fire with electricity sparking around. "Nothing to worry about, just small problem" and all three of them turn their heads towards me
if anyone cares, I just made a VR discord for facepunch people to get together for multiplayer VR games https://discord.gg/322WY3G please excuse the mess, I've never made a discord server before, so any guidance would be helpful!
Just bought Bridge Crew. Let's get something going here.
Bridge Crew would come out right when I am away from my Vive until september...
Post your nicks and I'll add you to the friends list in bridge crew
I'm El_Periodista on Uplay.

Gunheart announced for Rift+Vive, made by developers of Gears of War and Robo Recall https://www.theverge.com/2017/5/31/15712122/gunheart-drifter-entertainment-vr-shooter-announce-hands-on [hd]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jrOAAdU30HE[/hd]
First few hours of ST:BC with friends. Best VR experience so far. Could easily do keep going for a few more hours if we didn't have work tomorrow.

I'm glad companies are adapting the PSVR headstrap.
So GORN now has internal organs and skeletons for gladiators. Can't wait for the beta to go public.
To ease on the Discord confusion a bit, me and Ellistron are going to work on the older VR Discord together and get that thing a bit active again, so do hop on in and lets see if we can organize some MP things whenever. https://discord.gg/0xqyauYBRQl9wyUt Hopefully we can get it in the OP aswell.
Somewhat true
1. I hate Rec Room paintball for this reason alone. Teleport movement shouldn't be a thing in multiplayer competition. 2. Get a bigger cage? I think it works well for minute movements. 3. Super fucking Hot VR... I have to flail my arms around in the air to make time move to get enemies to spawn faster, and I am sure I look like a complete fool. Are there any good sit-down VR experiences?
I picture this sort of thing being the greatest drinking game at a house party one day.
It's even better when the random crew gets a high captain smashing a bong There was also an Engineering player whose dog kept loudly barking in the background and the crew listened to the dog's orders more than the player's [editline]2nd June 2017[/editline] And a Tactical player named "Yvonne's Big Boy" who couldn't stop giggling whenever the captain gave him an order to fire at something
Why is it that some people just can't accept that some of us get really sick with thumb-stick movement?
How to troll your competitor.
Why is it that some people just can't accept that some of us get really sick with thumb-stick movement?
I often find the problem is reversed. Many people who rely solely on teleport locomotion seem to dismiss the addition of artificial locomotion as unnecessary, whereas people who rely on thumbstick movement are fine with as many different movement styles as is necessary. I think, to be honest, everyone in the VR community accepts that some people get really sick from artificial locomotion.
Why is it that some people just can't accept that some of us get really sick with thumb-stick movement?
VR's in a teething period where nobody is happy with any existing solution. The same thing happened with controller movement back when 3D was new and nobody knew how to put analog sticks on a controller because D-pad tank controls were still the norm. Give it time, and slowly hardware and experiments will come out that work toward a good solution that works for everyone.
Give it time, and slowly hardware and experiments will come out that work toward a good solution that works for everyone.
Hm, that's the thing. Unless the hardware can reliably trick the inner ear for all people, this balancing issue is going to remain a problem with VR.
I often find the problem is reversed. Developers usually don't implement it because designing a game for a stationary player and for one that moves continuously are two separate problems, and at least you know everyone can use teleportation. It's the lowest common denominator.

I'm just providing some anecdotes from what I've seen around the communities I visit - People who rely solely on teleportation seem a lot more contentious about the topic than the people who accept that their method of locomotion is often an additional feature.
Why is it that some people just can't accept that some of us get really sick with thumb-stick movement?
I don't think I've ever seen anyone here say that we should tell people without VR legs to fuck off, just that it's annoying that developers often seem to completely ignore the component of VR users who do have them. I really appreciate it when a game gives you both teleporting and trackpad movement as an option, especially when the trackpad motion has comfort settings like acceleration speed and restricted FOV
oh my fucking god, i played a bridge crew in randoms and the captain was a drunk scotsman the tactical officer was a drunk scotsman it was fucking amazing, one of them even was nicknamed Haggis i could barely understand the captain's orders he was so drunk and scottish [editline]2nd June 2017[/editline] "Engineering, Orkel throw me a fucken vodka and Haggis shoet those fucken mines ay"
I'd join in with that but I can't afford a £40 game right now :|
