It's better than having your favorite titles announced as Rift exclusive, in any case. I have to say, their VR titles look surprisingly competent. I'm sure Fallout 4 VR will be a buggy mess regardless but it looks like a fairly complete VR title already. I'm surprised. I have to assume mods won't work though, which may kill off a lot of my excitement for it.
I'm excited for a physics engine that works at more than 60 fps.
It's better than having your favorite titles announced as Rift exclusive, in any case.
You know, that's a fair point.
Fallout 4 VR is Seperate from Regular Fallout 4. it's also $60. http://store.steampowered.com/app/611660/Fallout_4_VR/ beth is out of their fucking mind
Well what did you expect, it is the full basegame reworked, this was the only way a big publisher would do it. Releasing it as DLC is not something people do in today's market.
At least make it like 40 bucks or something. Give it a discount for owners of the base game, anything to make this feel like less of ripoff.
So it's really just a what-if situation? I guess I was confused on the justification of making that game. I thought they were trying to explain the real-world dimensions, because I can't believe they would go to a great length of making a game in VR to explain the concept of dimensions using dimension that does not actually happen in our dimensions.
We live in a 3D universe as far as we're concerned. This game is a side-project that spawned from Miegakure, which is an upcoming 4D puzzle platformer. 4 dimensional space is relatively easy to simulate and render with mathematics, and these games are the most accurate depictions ever seen in real-time. It's of course hard to comprehend, but that's because we're used to stuff being 3D. I recommend reading Marc Bosch's devlogs about Miegakure if you're interested in how this stuff works.

But I think they had a 20% discount if you owned the standard version or something, don't quote me on that. It's the usual VR tax it seems.
Well, when Croteam released TFE and TSE VR versions they were priced the same as the originals released 8 years ago. Serious Sam TFE and TSE should be £10-12 each maximum, there is so little new with it that I wonder how people are just eating that shit up.
Well what did you expect, it is the full basegame reworked, this was the only way a big publisher would do it. Releasing it as DLC is not something people do in today's market.
I mean they gave SkyrimSE away for free to people who already owned Skyrim and the DLC I dunno I guess I just expected them to not add on another full $60 for people who already spent $60 on the base game and whichever price they paid for the season pass only two fucking years ago at maximum. The total price I've spent on FO4 is $150, so I could get a pathetic half-assed plastic mold, a game that runs like ass on the best of computers, and DLC that, unless it's Far Harbor, Automatron (which can have a bug that drops your framerate to near unplayable and if you get it then you're stuck with it that playthrough), or Nuka-World, is on the tier of a free update. They've gotten enough from me, and I'm not paying them the price of a full, new game a second time, especially not when the base game is half that price, for a two year old game still receiving content updates (as of Creation Club we've got microtransactions being added) and support just so I can have VR support in it. Bring on the key resellers, because I'm not giving another cent to Bethesda. [editline]a[/editline] Like holy fuck the least they could do is make it the same price as the base game if you already own it or something but they seriously expect people to pay $60?
I would legitimately buy either Doom or Fallout 4 VR if they were at a lower price but there's no way I'm shelling another 60 bucks for a game I've already played 500 hours of.

There is no way I am buying either of them at full price, I would rather wait till xmas for the sales.
I'd happily pay the whole £40 for FO4VR if it also comes with all DLC. At that point it's just twice the price of generic wave-shooter/zombie VR titles that are really just peoples' first attempts, priced up because VR market is still 'new'.
We live in a 3D universe as far as we're concerned. I recommend reading Marc Bosch's devlogs about Miegakure if you're interested in how this stuff works.
Probably because the location/spatial type of 4th dimension never interests me, so I had a hard time accepting that those kind of games would be fun, and if anybody would make them. Because personally, having the 'new' dimensions as another 'spatial' type would be extremely disappointing. To me, the next dimensions should be something else altogether, like 'time'. Some people also proposed up to double the amount with dimensions that they don't really know the nature of. I'm also attracted to theories that proposed that there are 'layers' or 'sets' of dimension. For example, our layer had like 5 dimensions, but if you are a being who can climb out of the 5th one, the 5 layers beneath you are viewed as just 1 set of dimension, and with that you had other sets that would form your 'world'
FO4 VR, in general, I have no issue being $60. It's a full, AAA game for VR. ...But no discount for owning FO4? That's iffy.
Might be interesting to see what kind of modding potential VR opens up. Oh wait you also have to pay for that now :v:
I have to assume it's a "room scale limitation," and that "the standard equipment doesn't offer the same capabilities as the Vive," or "we designed it for the Vive, but you can still play with your shitty cameras and 180-degree tracking on your children's toy." You know, the same excuses we get for every Vive-exclusive title, despite the fact that the Rift is very near feature parity to the Vive, and leagues ahead of PSVR.
Welcome to the world of hardware locked content, rift users! I think it's more likely due to the Zenimax/Oculus lawsuit
http://store.steampowered.com/app/650000/DOOM_VFR/ Doom VR is only 30$ :v:
Probably a lot shorter of a game, imo, seeing as it looks like new levels for it
Played Gorn. I would buy it the second it was released. I 1v4'd a bunch of armored guys while unarmed, knocked one out, tried to steal his weapon, didn't have time so I ripped his leg off and beat two of the other attackers with it
Airtone released [hd]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KvygoCLoJRo[/hd] [hd]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qjn4o3al9Pc[/hd] VR rhythm game, gotten some very positive reviews.

I'd love boss fights where you have to fight a monster/Gregor Clegane sized dudes

Lone Echo pre-order up on the Oculus store, and launching July 20th.
34.99€ not bad price for an AAA VR title. [editline]12th June 2017[/editline] It includes both lone echo and the echo sport thing above.
The sport part is free for rift owners

There's a room where you can unlock new weapons and stuff. Different enemies like monsters & animals would be fun as fuck too. Did you see the recent update? He added internal organs & a skeleton which looks absolutely hilarious.
I'm still choked that Fallout 4 VR is asking for 80 Canadian dollars. I already own it as well as all the DLC thanks to the season pass :unimpressed:
It's a timed exclusive, so should hit PC somewhere down the line.
