Hell, I'd be happy with a version that allows seated VR. That doesn't require VorpX.
VorpX is pretty worthless really
Its cool for kind of allowing yourself to use it as a 'monitor' but honestly after that its useless
I managed to get an early GORN key and boy the new updates made the game even more fun.
Just wish slashing wasn't so strong compared to, well, everything else.
So apparently if you have the GORN alpha, you get the full version for free.

As in the old build? Or for the people with keys

Awesome. I was wondering about this since the "proper" GORN version appeared in my library.

It comes with an actual fully fledged level, which is super good news since so many of the locales in that game are old and have relatively little interaction.

Vive will switch from lighthouse to computer vision (cameras) when they think the tech is good enough.

You omitting the "if" is kind of a big deal here, but to quote what I said on reddit about this incredible "news":
Not really any news in what he said. To get equivalent tracking it would be more expensive to use cameras, and if that changes Valve would obviously look into it. It's the least news news I've ever seen news'd
There's nothing here. They're saying if or when the technology is better, they'll use it. In other words, they're saying they'll do what's sensible v:v:v

It's honestly incredible to me that they can pull that off, it might not be as good as the tracking on the hololens but they're doing it with a single phone camera which is ridiculous. Has anyone tried it out in an empty field or warehouse? That's usually where that type of tracking falls apart
I really want to get stuck into the ARKit but I only have an iPhone 5 :|
So apparently if you have the GORN alpha, you get the full version for free.
Think this applies to the recent beta keys he has been giving out too? When activating it says for beta testing but in my library its just GORN.

The newer iPhone has a secondary camera for depth perception.

the tracking still works on SE, the 6s, and the 7 iirc

If people still don't see that VR is the future of everything, this video proves it
I've decided to buy new ( budget ) PC. And I want to give VR a try. What VR headset should I buy? Also is GTX 1050 and G4560 enough for VR gaming?

Nope, not really. I think you'd need a 1060 minimum and a quad core i5 for anything resembling a decent experience.
Plus, you are aware VR headsets are around $600-$800 USD?

Okay. And no. I didn't know that. I think I'll just wait till my PC get better or something

I don't think so, VR is really optimal when you are going for a budget system. And like said, the VR headset is 800-900 dollar/euro so in case you dont already have a VR headset, why not use the VR money to get yourself a better PC?
Okay. And no. I didn't know that. I think I'll just wait till my PC get better or something
You can get VR-ready PC + VR headset bundles for sale at prices like $1,100, and that usually comes with $100 store credit for games. It doesn't include the 100$ to buy the Oculus Touch controllers separately, though.

Samsung unveals ExynosVR, a stand-alone, inside-out tracking, 4K headset with eye tracking. It is not a consumer product, but a "reference design", a proof that it is possible to make.
All-in-one VR headsets are set to become a reality by the end of the year, and Samsung has finally revealed its take on the concept.
The company showcased its new standalone reference design, the ExynosVR III , at the Mobile World Congress in Shanghai last week. You can see the first image of it above, which aksi confirms specs like an ARM Makli G71 MP20 GPY and a M2 Dual 2.5GHz CPU. It also suggested the headset can support 4K resolution at 75fps and Wide Quad High Definition (WQHD) at 90fps. The reference design looks like it’s armed with cameras on the front, likely used for inside-out positional tracking.
That Wurstwurld update for H3VR was really fun. I don't think I've ever spent that long in a single play session of H3VR before, not even with meat grinder. I really hope that he does more big, themed update packs like this in the future, maintaining similar levels of interaction in new scenes. It almost felt like a virtual theme park, an almost unique experience.
What I'm more excited about are the new bots that got introduced in Wurstworld, they are really fun to fight and I love how they are semi-physical making hitting them very satisfying. I just wish they were in some other scenes too so I can fight them with more weapons.
