A 2600k is better than the minimum spec, dude :v: Processor technology doesnt change much, despite being older, the 2600k is still more powerful than a lot of new CPUs
If I use the Oculus hardware scanner it thing, it says my CPU doesn't meet the requirements, what is why I was asking.
Try the SteamVR test, its much more accurate
It says I'm ready, but it still suggests looking at what the hardware itself recommends [t]https://i.imgur.com/aWAxNqX.png[/t]
Not sure if anyone's mentioned this yet but dota vr spectator mode is super cool

Touch delayed again (Winter starts Dec ~21st) [img_thumb]https://i.redd.it/lpb92ewadmcx.jpg[/img_thumb]
Welllllll shit. I was planning on getting an oculus + touch for xmas. Might be better to just get a vive... I don't see much point in VR without motion control
Touch delayed again (Winter starts Dec ~21st) [img_thumb]https://i.redd.it/lpb92ewadmcx.jpg[/img_thumb]
Probably means November

I'm getting incredibly sick of poor performance in VR games. I have an i5 2500k and GTX980, yet games like Brookhaven and Raw Data lag and stutter a decent amount of the time. I feel like UE4 is just horribly optimized for VR, literally every UE4 game gives me stutters. Anyone else dealing with this? I'm sick of developers totally ignoring the most important part of VR being low latency and lack of stutter, god damn.

Please let that delay not happen, I wan't some damm controllers already. :(
Oculus is shooting themselves in the foot more by delaying the touch.
Oculus is shooting themselves in the foot more by delaying the touch.
Better an honest delay with a proper launch than another shitty launch due to product shortage
Please let that delay not happen, I wan't some damm controllers already. :(

Oculus is shooting themselves in the foot more by delaying the touch.
I'm thinking that they learned from their mistakes with the HMD launch and are going to make sure that they can actually ensure a proper production run and launch for Touch. Better to have delays than to completely bone their reputation with another poor product launch.

That was on top of N64 ass looking textures every single time I loaded that game due to streaming issues. I understand it's early access, but I feel for all VR games they should work on performance first. If your game looks great cool, but if it doesn't maintain a solid fps then its no good to me.
Touch delayed again (Winter starts Dec ~21st) [img_thumb]https://i.redd.it/lpb92ewadmcx.jpg[/img_thumb]
Well they always said H2 2016, technically not a delay. Just the full stretch it affords :v:
Touch delayed again (Winter starts Dec ~21st) [img_thumb]https://i.redd.it/lpb92ewadmcx.jpg[/img_thumb]
are we going to get gen2's of the rift 5 years after we get gen2 vives or something
Touch delayed again (Winter starts Dec ~21st) [img_thumb]https://i.redd.it/lpb92ewadmcx.jpg[/img_thumb]
Seems like they're out of touch
Touch delayed again (Winter starts Dec ~21st) [img_thumb]https://i.redd.it/lpb92ewadmcx.jpg[/img_thumb]
Idk man, winter is like november.
Oculus Connect 3 is at the start of October; we'll have much better information to go on then instead of that placard someone found at a Best Buy that EliteGuy is so desperate to use as proof of negative Oculus news.

There's already rumors for an improved Vive for Holiday 2016 (likely just an improved headstrap, similar to the Rift)
Idk man, winter is like november.
Dude we won't see snow until like february or march here usually
I ordered my vive over a month ago and it was shipped to the wrong address Customer support says every single time that I call that the issue has been resolved and that I "just need to wait a few more days because that's how long the team said it would take" I don't know what to do anymore. Is there some corporate number for HTC?
Not really VR related, but do you guys know of any object tracking systems I could rig to a camera in a studio to get accurate tracking? I'd use to 1080P webcams if I thought it would work.
Gave Rec Room paintball a try, not really sure what all of the hype is about. It seems like an objectively worse version of battledome with a single crappy gun and combat that consists of "teleport next to each other and spam the trigger"

Just got an sms from DHL that I will get my Vive max in two days <3 I will be ready with my new Fury Nitro, and plenty of space in room.
