I don't know if I'm even interested in an upgraded headset, money aside, unless it has foveated rendering or some other magic to boost performance. I think/hope the people behind the scenes at HTC/Valve are smart enough to realize they can't just release a higher resolution headset and hope for the best. Wireless is a great feature as well, but if I can just buy it as an add-on, why would I buy an entire headset for it? Haha... 2x4K, and not only that, a jump from 90Hz to 120Hz. That is literally like that slide with VR predictions in 5 years. Who gives these people their jobs ?

I'm part of the Rift family now. The touch controllers are awesome, and being able to do roomscale and try Job Simulator and Accounting was just wonderful Looking forward to making my own VR stuff and sharing it here

I'm really looking forward to Robo Recall, hoping it works with Revive.

swung by best buy to look at phones today and ended up walking through their vr section. noticed they apparently sell VR covers for the rift there now, picked one up for 15 bucks and it actually fits + works pretty well. pleasantly surprised.

My right touch controller just ran out of power, whereas the left one hasn't even dropped a single bar yet. :huh: Can anyone explain that to me? I haven't changed batteries on either one since I get them

The power bar that shows up in the main menu is a bit glitchy, since it can stay at 100% and suddenly drop to 0%. As in, the power bar only shows 0% and 100% and nothing in between. Your left controller will run out soon as well.

Are you right handed? Your dominant hand will probably be using the vibrator more.

So I tried Gorn. I can understand why people would dent or break their room/wand; The grabbing seemed a bit OP, but it makes for ragdoll shenanigans. Also, it needs a full-fledged version and/or sequel.

So. just finished the gallery episode 1. and holy fuck if this is just a glimpse of the future of VR adventure games / story telling then i REALLY cant wait for the tech to mature a bit more and truly be inmersed in a whole different world

Bit weird and wonky in my opinion but it feels satisfying to use atleast.
