Has the dev gotten over his hissy fit about Oculus or
He's added Touch support a while ago, I think
He has added Touch support, but he has also noted that he would not go out of the way to optimize the game just for Oculus.
so i played lab a bit, it was good shit but theres sudden black flickering that kept popping up near the end, i have no idea what causes that since steamvr performance test and htc's vive pc checker say i should be good. so ???? (if its a computer problem, i plan on getting a new pc very soon anyway so it wont be a problem anymore if thats why.) the room im playing in just barely fits the size limit for roomscale. it works well. I need to finetune the tracking somehow because rarely it can slightly mis-calibrate and keep the view in one spot.

Oculus is doing a series of articles on roomscale (setup). Part 1: https://www.oculus.com/blog/oculus-roomscale-tips-for-setting-up-a-killer-vr-room/
If you have any mirrors or reflective surfaces, it fucks with LH tracking.
i have a tall desk (shelf) and one of the sensors if right behind/ above it. i think thats whats causing it. cant really fix it tho right now. planning to get new desk soon so that will probably fix. edit: https://www.instagram.com/p/BPsHfCSA9A1/
Yo, not too sure if I'm allowed to post it here, but I'm working on a social media VR application for my University dissertation project and need to do some user research as part of the project. So I have a survey here https://goo.gl/forms/FX1CPKUlg1KpksCi1 about social media usage, and your familiarity of VR. Only takes like 5 minutes to fill out. It's being made with WebGL/Three.js for the Vive (As it's the only hardware I own), similar to the Mozilla tilt brush web application. I want to also spend time looking at implementing analytics into the application to monitor usage, gaze time on particular elements etc. I plan on releasing it when I'm done and get approval from the University for people to try out and check the code. You'd be doing me a big favour, cheers :~)

I can't recall whether I'm 22 or 23, and I end up having to ask someone. Guess it's related to uneventful birthdays.

I mean, I know not knowing your age on the spot, but I know my birthdate and also what year it is.
just spent like 5 hours in VR, 3 of that in rec room my bodies tired but im not. its weird. guess i found my new exercise equipment. really need a bigger room tho, im currently in a 2.0x1.5 space, have a ceiling fan above me that i can touch with my hands fully up, and im afraid to throw anything in VR.
played a bunch of climbey last night, my biceps are burning today also jesus christ fuck that near-end official level where you have to tread along that thin strip of ice, going around several corners and finally up a ramp. The first time I even got as far as the ramp I touched it and it glitched, shooting me backwards off the course

Hugo Barra is the new head of Oculus http://uploadvr.com/facebook-ceo-mark-zuckerberg-announces/ Old positions were vice president of Google's Android division, and vice president of Xiaomi
my bodies tired but im not. its weird. guess i found my new exercise equipment.
Happens to me too, having screens that close to your eyes kinda keeps your mind going I guess. I usually can't VR right before I go to sleep otherwise I'm sitting in bed staring at the ceiling for a few hours. :v: Play Gorn or Space Pirate Trainer and go hard, that's usually a fun work out. Don't expect any gains but it does wear you out.
http://www.roadtovr.com/vive-president-says-new-generations-vr-headsets-likely-come-1-3-year-cycles/
“What I would imagine is that the VR headsets are probably somewhere in between, probably tending closer toward the phone cycles than it is to the console cycles, but it’s definitely not as quick [as the early smartphone era] with the major updates.” That puts the hardware refresh cycle of VR headsets, by Graylin’s estimate, somewhere between one and three years.

http://www.roadtovr.com/vive-president-says-new-generations-vr-headsets-likely-come-1-3-year-cycles/
I mean this makes the most sense anyways. VR's improvements as we move ahead relies on small screen technologies and incremental discoveries in hardware tracking, not developing a standardized compact gaming machine
Speaking of next generation of those devices; how much power do those Vive sensor boxes consume, can it be batery powered ? Everyone is talking about the importance of the headset to be wireless for full immersion, but I think those things should also be battery powered if possible. You cut those two power cords and the whole setup becomes much easier and less scary for Average Joe. Plus you can store it away when you don't use it.
About 10W a box, super low. They're just two small motors and a laser. https://www.reddit.com/r/Vive/comments/4fwa7f/lighthouse_power_consumption_only_10w/ You can hook them up to 12V portable battery packs and they'll last for hours.

I've talked to doctors about it, it's related to a thing but w/e wrong thread etc. What are the best racing games for the Rift at the moment?

these guys are giving away a free vive/oculus game called balloon chair deathmatch for today only http://steamcommunity.com/games/498990/announcements/detail/519438455625987010 heres a trailer for it:
Welp, I tried DOAX3 VR Paradise for PSVR. It was errr quite nice. Quite nice indeed :godzing: The game was locked for Japanese account use. Can't even start it in other countries account. Also tried Until Dawn for PSVR. My brother can't even finish the 1st stage before pulling out the headset in terror. According to his reaction, the most scary part is the when the rollercoaster nose-dive :v:

Assetto Corsa doesn't have VR menus but is amazing in-game.

It's quite a trip in VR.
