Turns out the sabbat were using a synagogue as a base of operations. The assamite blew that up.
Was the storyteller trying to make a statement?

I've broken my party.
I killed the Sorcerer's brother in the worst possible way, by literally dropping a dead dragon on him. I put the Dragonborn Fighter in a situation where he could take his life-long revenge, only to have this chance in a timeline where ostensibly everything in the world is worse. I largely broke my Paladin's faith by presenting them with so many otherworldly events that they barely believe in their religion anymore. I gave the Rogue a vast fortune only to put him in a situation where it is utterly valueless. I largely wiped out the Druid's favourite species of wildlife and turned the NPC that she was infatuated with into an evil lich.
They're all pretty much hopeless. Which I think is a pretty damn good place for them to be by the end, since it'll make it that much better when/if they win.

Probably not, but that scenario is hemorrhaging unfortunate implications.

Not good enough! You know, there's a Dark Sun domain IN RAVENLOFT! Best of both worlds!
How much shit can someone fit in their loft anyway? How big is their house
How much shit can someone fit in their loft anyway? How big is their house
You could technically fit infinite amounts, but the more you hoard the more should it become a prime target for theft, accidental fire, dire mold, and tuberculosis.

You can fit infinite amounts in your loft?
What is it, some kind of pocket dimension?
Are you sure your loft isn't just a really big portable hole?

Well you can stack boxes full of crap outside or something! Doesn't have to be just the loft.
But at that point the question boils down to what counts as storage space and what doesn't.
Anyone have a good, PC editable character sheet for Pathfinder I could pinch?
About to start a game with a bunch of friends who've shown interest, and I wanted something they could edit on the fly.

If you use Roll20, there's a built-in system for sheets when you make the campaign/in the campaign settings.
If you don't, Myth-Weavers has a decent sheet.
In my last PF group we used this. Takes a little to get used to, especially if you haven't played PF before, but it's pretty good in general.
Today in D&D, we made a guy think he's insane so that we could hire his girlfriend. Wall of text incoming.
We're opening a bar, so we were looking for some entertainers to hire. A gather information check led us to her.
When our first plan (which was going to her and offering her a new job) failed, we began Operation: Homewrecker. We learned that she has a boyfriend, and that it didn't stop her from hitting on our paladin.
Our wizard (named Brie) seduced her, went to her (and her boyfriend's) room, and slept with her.
In the morning, her boyfriend started knocking on the door to her room (she lives in a tavern) and yelled at her to let him in.
Brie then went invisible and started flying to the ceiling.
After the bard let her boyfriend in, he started being suspicious of her cheating on him. Brie then started flying circles around him and talking to him.
"This is your conscience. You should trust your girlfriend."
He was taken aback, but then went over to the bed.
"Look at the indentations on the pillows! There was someone else here!"
"Indentations on the pillows? Get over yourself, man. You love her and she loves you."
Now the boyfriend, thinking that magic was involved, took the pillow and smashed it, sending feathers flying everywhere to reveal potential invisible wizards flying around him. (He's surprisingly smart.)
Brie silently cast Dimension Door to outside of the room, ended the invisibility spell and cast Alter Self to look like the boyfriend. Then she walked back in.
Both the bard and her boyfriend were (understandably) shocked to see a naked version of the boyfriend walking into the room.
"I told you I'm your conscience, man. You should apologize to her for doubting her."
"If you're my conscience, why do you sound like a woman?" (If it wasn't clear, Brie is female.)
"This is how you always wanted to sound. Remember how you used to dress up in mom's clothes when you were a kid?"
At this point the boyfriend started trying to punch Brie, and the bard excused herself out of the room.
Brie, having like 40 touch AC, easily dodged every strike and said "Dude, I'm you! I know what you're gonna do, how are you going to hit me?"
Eventually Brie got bored of dodging attacks and decided to let him hit her, planning to go invisible right after being hit.
Then she realized she didn't prepare Invisibility as a Silent Spell, so she improvised. "Before I leave, remember these words and follow them very carefully:" then she cast Invisibility again, and walked out of the room.
Later that day, we came back to the bard and offered her a slightly higher salary. She agreed, but only if we also give her a place to live.
After finalizing the deal, we asked her: "Why the sudden change of heart?"
She responded, "I'm done with this place."

Any GM that did that barring serious out-of-alignment stuff, (though Mr. Gygax's interpretations of what even a lawful good person can reasonably do are pretty brutal) would get a punch in the dick. That example is a dickhead GM.
Better than the "Paladin breaks alignment and is instantly smited dead by their god" rules. Although I have threatened to use that on a few Paladins over the years, just to make em sweat.
Today in Pathfinder, the all female party gets accosted by tentacle monsters.
today in 5e, my bumbling party knocks my petrified body against a wall and breaks off one of my fingers

Too many skeletons

I full on outlawed anyone calling themselves any alignment in my game, i think it was a good choice so far.

Nah, someone nearly died and caught dire chlamydia.
Coworker is the Ranger in our 5e campaign. He said he's gonna grab Skilled as a perk so he can be more useful out of combat.
Five minutes later, he's figured a few skills and tools to try and convince the DM to let him make special arrows.
Almost got away from combat.
"We're only going to talk to him. It's not as if we're going to kill the Mayor."

Out of combat skills are the best skills though.
Shit whenever I play I always end up spending 90% of my gold on crafting materials (to make amusing and useless contraptions) and miscellaneous bullshit that has no purpose in combat. Let me find one of my old characters.
Found one, although he barely has anything.

All the horse hide was used to section off my pavilion tent (the second tent was for my pets and animal companion and the third was for the rest of the party) for privacy reasons (the benefits of having indentured servants is many, like having them set up your shit). I originally wanted to buy some whale shark hide and then cut that into smaller pieces, but that shit was too heavy and realistically I'd have needed another wagon to carry it all. So I went with horse, cheap and covers enough for me. I mean if you aren't spending all your money on fluff bullshit then what are you even doing in D&D.
Just noticed I never bought a barrel of smoking tobacco, whoops. :pudge:

Nope just spikey diseased Otyugh ones
Incredibly us five level 2 characters killed 3 of them without dying, though the random encounter has delayed our actually plot-related mission so we can go to the temple to not have half the party die of plague
I fondly remember an otyugh causing my party's first death when he rolled a 20 on an attack and then all 4 damage dies were maximum.

Currently, my spellbook has one attack spell. The rest are illusions, utility, or battlefield control in general. I'm only grabbing an attack spell now, Spell Sniper > Eldritch Blast, because I dislike using a crossbow. Frostbite as my third attack spell so I can help the melee fighters by giving foes disadvantage on melee attacks.
Misty Step should be a good 2nd level spell, and I'm kind of stuck on the other spell I'm learning. Invisibility could be useful, although it ends up action/attack.
Today my friends and I are planning to play Demon Hunters: A Comedy of Terrors, and possibly some Star Wars Age Of Rebellion.
We're a weird bunch, I'll let you know how it goes (hint: probably a lot of plot derailing).
I commissioned some art for the BBEG of my campaign:
