I commissioned some art for the BBEG of my campaign: [t]http://i.imgur.com/tDnnJx3.png[/t]
Is that supposed to be a Lich? Because those arms make it look like something out of Shadowrun. Not that that's a bad thing, they just look kinda tech-y. [editline]14th May 2016[/editline] Otherwise, though, it looks pretty good.

The reference character/pose I gave the artist was actually Adam Jensen.
Today in Shadowrun, even more planning, most of which goes out the window when the team decide they can just hack some of the on-site drones, bum rush the place and be out before actually threatening police show up. Which works perfectly, so now they're driving off in their roadmaster with about 90kg of explosive chemicals in the back with them.
Have any of you guys ever let spectators into games? If so, have you ever had bad experiences with that?
Have any of you guys ever let spectators into games? If so, have you ever had bad experiences with that?
Yes and no. Every time I've seen it they just sat quietly by and watched.
anyone notice that there are some hidden spells on d20pfsrd for some classes like i have to jump through many hoops just to find some spells for cleric because they're hidden away so well does anyone have like a comprehensive list of all cleric spells, including those like "create soul gem" and "sharesister" or "shield speech" man these are all quite useful spells
Our party entered the Underdark and ended up fighting a group of Pale Orcs. After pushing them out of their base we discovered that we'd actually wandered into the backdoor of an army garrison designed to keep their women away from an Orc-Drow War. We allowed all the Orc women to return to the rest of the army unharmed while we hunkered down. Our Half-Orc spent the night on watch when an Orc guard approached the camp to observe us, before striking up a conversation. The end result was an uneasy truce with the garrison commander and safe passage through the Orc frontlines to our objective, as a sign of respect for allowing the women to return unharmed and remain neutral in the conflict. This was my favorite sessions so far. Brief frantic combat, tense waiting, and a peaceful resolution because of an act of risky selflessness.
So I was talking with ElTacoLad on Skype, and he mentioned that the worst thing he'd ever done in a tabletop was carve out somebody's eye. The worst thing I've ever done is nuke Boston. Multiple times. Here's the chatlog, for those who are curious: http://pastebin.com/WeUZsrUR Good times. :dog: [editline]15th May 2016[/editline] That's technically only the first time, by the way. I later fucked the city over in Shadowrun by plugging in a thing to the NeoNET servers that led to everybody in Boston becoming mindslaves. Pretty sure there was another time, in another game, but I can't remember what it was.
So I was talking with ElTacoLad on Skype, and he mentioned that the worst thing he'd ever done in a tabletop was carve out somebody's eye.
In my defense he had just killed two of my character's best friends.
it's cool, if it explodes I think I can soak all the damage
I don't think they're all that explosive on their own anyway, they're just components.
The safest thing you stole is the DMSO, everything else is very flammable or explosive.
The safest thing you stole is the DMSO, everything else is very flammable or explosive.
Ho boy, is it time for Shadowrun's Annual Water Tag?
Ho boy, is it time for Shadowrun's Annual Water Tag?
It's always a party when you've got your body weight in explosives and chemical weapons
[t]http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-wQ8plA7TZIw/T4bAi9NaTfI/AAAAAAAAAu4/on10JSkH8rs/s1600/Dalelands%2BCover.jpg[/t] really cool article where a D&D illustrator talks about how he made a painting for the above D&D book cover, including studies and composition ideas before he finally lands on the final design: http://muddycolors.blogspot.com.br/2012/04/ranger-attacks.html
That poor troll. What did it do to deserve that?
I just noticed there's like a small golden... bishop dude or something, sitting in between some stones in the wall in front of the troll's nose.
yesterday in dungeon world: resident ork decides to charge down the tunnel of a randomly generating dungeon. cue sudden cliff fall and a face full of bats. after jamming his axe into the wall to Not Die and trying and failing to kill the bats with his STABBY FING, he decides to cut his losses and jump straight off his axe and pull it out with him on the way down he fails also that session: a giant fucking termite queen
In today's session I once again did barely anything until becoming MVP at the last second. DM was as chilled as he was organised, ran a great session. Gnome bard whipped out his dick and pissed on an illuminati snake man for Cutting Words, then moonwalked up a smooth stone wall and called lightning for a quad kill. My pet collection expanded too. Fuzzball the rabbit is now joined by Harry the snake. Ten minutes after it had basically poofed into existence, I interrogated the snake and tamed him. DM described him as "very poisonous", so he should be a valuable asset even if he only has 2 HP.
I started DM'ing for the first time, so far I'm two sessions in. I'm doing a lot of homebrew stuff for it, such as more innate character abilities, custom spells, and stronger/sillier monsters. Last session the gang fought off magical scarecrows controlled by the crows themselves and a giant gopher that had ice abilities that would pop up at predetermined holes and cause avalanche-like cave-ins. It's going over really well with the players.
Day 1 of Demon Hunters: Our squad, including the son of a master demon hunter, a vampire outcast, a half-demon and a lycan, massacred 40+ fratboys/cultists on a university campus, and we fought the campaign's boss squad/rivals. Also, the half-demon took a shotgun from the company warehouse but forgot to grab some shells, too. D'oh! [editline]16th May 2016[/editline] Oh and I also found this at the store I frequent: [t]https://scontent.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/13173940_10209372107476934_5630346439888989917_n.jpg?oh=4bfc3333527427d139e12aca36b4f61b&oe=57DD91EB[/t] Who wants to play?
I just noticed there's like a small golden... bishop dude or something, sitting in between some stones in the wall in front of the troll's nose.
Looks like a shrine.
working on a really cool commission! 5 hours in [editline]17th May 2016[/editline] "What Do You Mean This Isn't Your Favored Terrain?!"
So what's a good version to start with if you've never played a D&D game before? And what are some of the more interesting races to play as, because I'm a special shit who doesn't like playing as generic humans/elves/dwarves/etc.

As for race, Dragonborn is a neat non-humanlike choice. You could ask the DM if they're open to homebrew or using races from other versions.
Lizard and bird men are race types that do generally interest me, also ratmen for some reason.
Lizard and bird men are race types that do generally interest me, also ratmen for some reason.
Kobolds best, tengu also good but they're more a Pathfinder thing
Oh and I also found this at the store I frequent: [t]https://scontent.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/13173940_10209372107476934_5630346439888989917_n.jpg?oh=4bfc3333527427d139e12aca36b4f61b&oe=57DD91EB[/t] Who wants to play?
Oh man I've always wanted to try that since my first DM told me about it.
I don't know if this is considered weird, but I'd like to be able to play a game with races that are just straight up non-humanoid but still intelligent, like giant spiders or griffins or something. Not furry, just smart animals. I once saw a picture of a spider in a wizard's hat and holding a staff (might have been photoshopped) and really wanted to play an illusionist wizard spider. Also griffins in general are pretty neat.
Gryphons are pretty furry though, and playing any race that doesn't have fingers or isn't able to talk is a pain. Unless you just handwave all that I guess.
