My favorite take on kobolds is the one from FATAL: Silver-skinned ugly, naked, cave-dwelling, rape slave midget people. Mostly because it's actually the closest a fantasy kobold got to its mythical Germanic origin. Less so because seeing pictures of them in FATAL is hilarious.
shadowrun kobolds are pretty close, without the whole rape thing they're boring though
I know, they ought to be some of the most boring creatures ever. D&D kobolds get a free pass, though; They kind of stray all over the place design-wise and only recently have they been kind of solidified as tiny wannabe dragon lizard things of various amount of muscle mass, ranging from manlet to scaled twig. You know what kind of a mythical creature I'd totally approve of, though? Bell-Ringer demons. Describing one running at the player characters would be the most incredible thing.
boring creatures are boring, though thats not a good thing
Skeletons are boring and overdone. But, there is one inside you. Ergo... Elowin, YOU are boring!
Woah, wait, Kobolds are lizard people? Because of Suikoden II, I always thought Kobolds were dog people. My life has been a fucking lie. [t]http://lparchive.org/Suikoden-II-(by-The-White-Dragon)/Update%2049/8-PSOGL839.jpg[/t]
Skeletons are boring and overdone. But, there is one inside you. Ergo... Elowin, YOU are boring!
skeletons are pretty cool though they're only "boring" because they're overdone the market is oversaturated with skeletons
the market is oversaturated with skeletons
Fucking Skeletons, taking up our jobs! [editline]14th October 2015[/editline] Industrial Revolution setting dominated by cheap Necromancer-created labor force of undead, anyone?
Some have them as dog-like creatures, D&D has them as like, rat-dragons.
Phew. Close call!
Fucking Skeletons, taking up our jobs! [editline]14th October 2015[/editline] Industrial Revolution setting dominated by cheap Necromancer-created labor force of undead, anyone?
i can guarantee you this has happened many times
Off to my weekly DnD sesh, ~tia~ Hope I get the friendly DM this time who lets you play around and not the stickler who rules that your nat-20 roll on animal handling can't calm an angry monkey just because he wants you to kill it instead.
goddamnit, why is there no polymorph spell that lasts more than a few minutes i just wanted to turn into a small animal for a few hours [editline]14th October 2015[/editline] why hasth thou forsaketh me, o mighty wizardry
Polymorph Self/Other are permanent until dispelled, aren't they?
Baleful Polymorph is, but almost all of the beneficial shapeshifting spells are either 1 min/level or 1 hour/level, as far as I know.
Polymorph Self/Other are permanent until dispelled, aren't they?
Nope. 1 minute per caster level. The only option is to cast Baleful Polymorph on myself. I'm a little reluctant about doing that. [editline]14th October 2015[/editline]
Baleful Polymorph is, but almost all of the beneficial shapeshifting spells are either 1 min/level or 1 hour/level, as far as I know.
An 1 hour/level spell was what I was looking for, but only some of the partial transformation spells like Fins to Feet and Monstrous Extremities have that duration. When it comes to actual complete transformation spells, they're all 1 minute/level, with the one exception of Shapechange, the 9th level spell. It has a whooping 10 minutes/level.
session #2 of 5e done they still don't know I'm not a cleric
