Been building it with chummer and haven't seen anything that said specifically shaman under chargen.
Don't use chummer personally, I'd guess they just didn't bother to list it. Your tradition only really matters for two things, mechanically. What the second attribute you use for drain is, and what spirits you can summon. Shamans get Earth, Air, Water, Man and Beast spirits.
So I add those as free qualities?
Yeah, I'll probably go with the deputy because it looks so good.
If you have the money, you could pick up both, use the Taurus as a concealed backup weapon. Although a proper hold-out pistol would probably be a better pick for that. [editline]20th October 2015[/editline]
So I add those as free qualities?
It's not really a quality, but if you want to write it down somewhere I suppose that'd work also pls stop murdering my automerge ;_;
Been building it with chummer and haven't seen anything that said specifically shaman under chargen.
It's on the spells page, there's a drop down menu for traditions.
I totally mistook the spirit affinity stuff for the quality, disregard. Kinda stuck between the Cavalier Deputy and the Colt Future Frontier. The deputy looks mean and big, but the colt does one more damage(at the loss of one lower accuracy, not being semi auto, and is twice as expensive) Also since I'm switching to a revolver, I'm kinda tempted to switch one of my spells to Stealth, cause magical silencer.

More like Super Shit
Single Shot? More like Super Shit
Full auto revolvers when, the shadowrun writers are slacking.
Full auto revolvers when, the shadowrun writers are slacking.
4e had it, you could convert bolt action rifles to full auto.
So, just browsing for a Pathfinder game on roll20 when I found something... I guess "special", is the key word? Quite frankly, I think this is more intimidating than the authors intended it to be. I mean, what does "neurodivergent" even mean? Will I go to internet jail for mispronouncing/forgetting certain terms when addressing a party member? Quiltbagging?! Too much man...
Neurodivergent just means 'people with mental issues' eg bipolar disorder/depression/anxiety. Quiltbag is apparently an alternative acronym for LGBTQ+. Google is your friend. :v: You'll probably be fine as long as you make an effort to pronounce shit right after the first few times, if it comes up at all.(Odds are, it won't; you might end up with a trans party member, but that's just a matter of remembering to use the right pronoun. And, I mean, you can probably do it for their character without much effort, it shouldn't be too hard to remember for the person themselves.)

Oh elo, apparently you can't enchant bullets in shadowrun anymore: http://pastebin.com/1xm0CgK6 (From Hard Targets)

Geez, that basically cements bows as being better than guns. They were already up there.
Also it talks about liquid alchemy, but not how to actually do it. Like do you have to put ALL the liquid from the preperation into whatever you are using it on(capsule round etc), or can I prepare a water cooler tank of the stuff and make like 50 capsule rounds/fill a super soaker with the stuff?

Mixing them together would probably break the enchantment, and splitting them up definitely will. Although your GM might rule that it'd just split the potency and possibly successes on them in two or something, maybe. no free preparations, sorry
So no flushing a bathtub of fireball and just hear about rats exploding in the sewer all day.
Oh elo, apparently you can't enchant bullets in shadowrun anymore: http://pastebin.com/1xm0CgK6 (From Hard Targets)
" While not as long range, as powerful, or as rapid-firing as guns" Bullshit, bows can have better range than assault rifles in SR, and their damage is similar to sniper rifles or shotguns.
Regarding shadowrun, I have a question: Besides cost, why would anyone take an SMG over an Assault Rifle? The real-world reason, that being the ease of use in a close-quarters environment, has no crunchy rules to represent that in the game, so if I had the money, why wouldn't I take an assault rifle? I recently got the Runner's Black Book and found a conversion guide for putting it in 5e, and the Kriss X is pretty much useless for its price. Even bumping up the damage to a whopping 10P, it costs nearly twice as much as my upgraded FN HAR from the main sourcebook. I had to nerf the price by half to make it even remotely viable. [editline]20th October 2015[/editline] I guess you could argue that it's more concealable.
SMGs are basically the shitty middle ground between the great concealability of machinepistols and the actually being good in a fight of ARs. The only thing they're really good for is dual wielding, which sucks for other reasons, but they're the highest damage one handed weapons with a FA firemode.
If you're stuck with a really tiny budget, there are arguments for picking SMGs. They're all fairly cheap, and most are decked out with some nice accessories, and when compared to the cheaper assault rifles (In the core book at least, that's just the AK-97 and the Colt M23), they usually have much better RC, even before counting the out-of-the-box gas vent systems that almost all of them have, and to boot most of them either have integral smartgun systems by default, or a laser sight, putting most of them above the Assault Rifles in terms of accuracy. The problem is that you're basically never going to be in a situation where you're that low on money, since guns are one of the cheapest things in the game. Discounting heavy weapons, there are almost no weapons that are more expensive than a electric fucking scooter.
Fair enough, kinda miffed though. Was hoping I missed something that would make SMGs more viable. I'm trying to make a gun that's highly accurate with low recoil, but the HAR comes with a gas vent 2 system that can't be upgraded, so I think it's as high as it's going to go. For some reason the Longbarrel upgrade is the cost of the weapon again for a measly +1 accuracy.
could go the savage worlds route of not allowing 2-Handed weapons to be fired at targets adjacent to the character
could go the savage worlds route of not allowing 2-Handed weapons to be fired at targets adjacent to the character
There's already a penalty for shooting at someone in melee range of you.

They're not the most optimized of the available guns, but they'll still fuck shit up in the right hands, especially if you abuse the fact you have a 1-handed weapon capable of sustained suppressive fire. And the fact that, unlike AR's, you can actually legally own and carry a good chunk of SMG's is a huge, huge bonus, since unless you're rolling with an unmodded K-97 almost every assault rifle is forbidden. Hell, on the GM side, I don't think I've used a single enemy with AR's against the PC's yet (save for a single ganger boss in their first run), and I've had no problem making that work. Any respectable gun skill, good use of burst and full auto, maybe an ammo type if you're feeling especially cheeky, and it'll shred someone just as well as any AR, and probably have more endurance in an extended fight thank to the easy access to RC and typically larger clips unless you're at the endgame milspec rifles.
You can start off with a milspec rifle, the Ares Alpha, they're not really end game, just specialised. Although the Alpha is all round the best AR in the game, comes with an integrated grenade launcher so you still have a bottom mount, far cheaper and easier to get than the other military rifles like the Raiden.
I go non-lethal so the squirt gun is best gun imho [editline]20th October 2015[/editline] squirt squirt squirt
i use icbms because fuck shadowrun when you can play GLOBAL THERMONUCLEAAR WARFARE
i use icbms because fuck shadowrun when you can play GLOBAL THERMONUCLEAAR WARFARE
global thermonuclear warfare is pretty boring
global thermonuclear warfare is pretty boring
only third world plebs with non-atomic armories like the DANISH say such shit
It also doesn't work in SR since magic fucks up nuclear reactions
only third world plebs with non-atomic armories like the DANISH say such shit
i played shadow president, therefore i have first hand experience with global thermonuclear war it was only fun for like the first half an hour then i was ass assinated [editline]20th October 2015[/editline]
It also doesn't work in SR since magic fucks up nuclear reactions
they still work, they're just unreliable except when they're 100% reliable and even able to be enchanted magic nukes and nuclear fusion is used for the infinite power supply
