Is this one of the reasons why Sorcerers are broken?
Sorcerers are actually weaker than wizards. Like, this isn't even a thing that can be argued against. :v:
*edit*
Goddamned fifth edition. I retract my statement because I know nothing of fifth edition.

It's true in 5e too, they get jack shit total known spells, their class features are kinda lame, and everything they can do a bard or warlock can do better.
another session of 5e done, they still don't know
we're forming a band for fucks sake and they still think I'm a cleric
they're really glad a bard is joining the party next week
TWO bards?!?!?!?!
what the fuck is the world coming to
all bards or no bards man
somehow in a few minutes I went from running a pathfinder game for my friends in the summer to running them a pathfinder game in which it's the 80's and they're the wizard department of the miami police force
Miami Strange
or
Law & Order: Magical Victims Unit
or something else
Second session of that Mekton one-on-one went well last night. We played about half as long as the first game, though that's reasonable considering it was a weeknight.
We didn't get much done, since it was mostly just a tutorial for Mekton's combat. She got acquainted with a few of the crew on the ship and jumped into a VR session with Widoia the spidertits tracking progress and handling the simulation. Ran over the basic rules of moving and combat, she shot a few targets, then did a simulation fight against two cheapo Meks.
After a little forward advancement and exchanged fire, she decides to put the pedal to the metal and floor her thrusters in a dropkick at the closest one. Barely makes the cutoff, but it's enough, and deals enough damage to instantly crumple the torso in a single hit.
Widoia watches in amazement as the girl who's never piloted a Mekton before blasts one Mek then proceeds to unleash a devastating critical hit with an 8-shot burstfire gun at the second approaching Mek, ripping into it like those burstfire critical death animations from the classic Fallouts.
Some congratulations later and they stop the sim, bracing for an incoming FTL jump.
Had another game of the one-on-one the day before yesterday. After coming out of the FTL jump they arrive at one of the worlds belonging to the Flal, a race of aggressive, militaristic crustacean people (aka the universe's equivalent of the Metroid-style Space Pirates). After some exposition about the Flal to the first-timer in space who knows about nothing but the Dryders, she's geared up and sent planetside in her Mekton to deliver a package to the Flal commander of the on-site base.
After being escorted under armed and not very friendly guard to said commander, she hands off the package, which turns out to be the fancy computer chip that got her the job with Mr. Silk in the first place. Though apparently the commander was expecting more and started throwing a fit, saying they'd only get 30% the agreed-upon deal, but after some quick and lucky haggling she manages to up that to 45%.
Getting the fuck out pronto before one of the numerous turrets on-site open fire without warning, she heads down to the pickup zone, only to find out she's been tailed by three unknown (and unaffiliated with the ones she just dealt with) Flal Meks. Preparing for her first real combat, that's where we wrapped it up.
Then last night I GMed a game of Magical Burst. Tonight I'm GMing my main party of Mekton. Tomorrow is more Magical Burst.
That's 5 nights in a row of GMing, help.
I think Onyx Path just crowned themselves the kings of overhyping things.
They spent a whole month building up to this, and it's literally nothing.
[editline]31st October 2015[/editline]
Something tells me they planned it to be something else, but with the recent Paradox buyout, they went with this instead so they wouldn't have to worry about whether or not they could deliver on what they were announcing.

Holy shit, I thought you were kidding when you said it was literally nothing, it's literally just a picture of some shittly drawn skulls
Thats it. Wow, this is the worst countdown I've ever seen.
Does their blog delete all of the negative comments or something? No way all five comments on it are positive.

im not seeing a negative comment so they mustve deleted it lmao
So I got Enemies Without for Dark Heresy 2 today. All in all, it's a pretty good supplement.
What's Good:
Cool new character creation options, including Death World, Garden World and Research Station homeworlds; Imperial Navy, Heretek and Rogue Trader Fleet backgrounds; and the Ace role.
Xenos reinforcement characters definitely add to those playing radical acolytes/inquisitors
Cool alien weapons, including Dark Eldar, Eldar, Tau Ork, and "lost races".
More weapon mods in the form of the Jokaero
New xenos to fight
The Not So Good
Only two Tyranid creatures, a Lictor and a Genestealer, and they're both unique.
Not a whole lot in the way of new aircraft despite introducing an aircraft-focused role.
I haven't read a whole lot into the fluffy bits, but it seems to be a fairly detailed description of the major xenos races you'll be dealing with. The new Explication rules are kinda neat too. You get to do some dissecting!
I'll definitely put it to use somewhere. I've got rules for a genestealer patriarch now. Can't wait for Enemies Beyond, I wonder what the Demon World homeworld will be like.

Yeah, I really like the book, but it pretty much JUST focuses on Eldar, be it Craftworld Eldar, Dark Eldar, or Harlequins.
It makes sense though, Dark Heresy only really makes sense with the Eldar as enemies, as they're the only ones who are subtle enough to need rooting out.

What about good ol' chaos cults? They can be sneaky.

Not in an Alien book they can't.
It looks like a decent enough book, I'm picking it up the second it gets on Amazon.
Personally I was hoping for a section on jeanstealer cults, but I guess I'll have to make that up with the limited information currently available.

Yeah, that would've been a really welcome addition and it's a shame they omitted it.
There is a fairly exhaustive homebrew Genestealer Cults pdf for DH1e.
I've found the perfect way to describe Elo's elf arcanist in my PF game

So I just did my first shadowrun job, I think we went a bit overkill.
Started out with me(Elf mage), a full body replacement chromer, and an ork adept getting the job to get five people to leave an apartment complex that a corp wanted to buy so they could demolish it.
Now a sensible set of people would just have had the chromer go door to door and break shit until they left, instead we bought 8k worth of Dread(Scarecrow fear gas from what I understand) and dumped two cans of that in their vent system, then sent in a beast spirit that was shaped as a caithsith or a chimera or something.
Only one person died though! He ran so fast down the stairs that he didn't turn in time, so he went out a window.

I was reading the book a bit more last night, and they even mention the fact that genestealers can infect people and turn them into hybrids! Come on, that's just being mean now :saddowns:

I would've used K10
So just DM'ed my first game of Pathfinder with some new players. It uh, went... well. They enjoyed it.
The party consists of a 15 year old sorceress girl who has ridiculous disguise and bluff skills for level 3, a gay paladin searching for love (and somewhat the necromancer who destroyed his village), a scat-singing halfling who sleeps in trees but has no climb skill and keeps falling out of them, and a Slavic dwarf cleric who keeps making enemies angry and drawing all of the aggression onto himself and nearly dying constantly.
A very lively party.
Next session will be a bit more puzzle oriented, want to introduce them to more types of gameplay.
a scat-singing halfling
Uhh...
I think I might be operating on a slightly different definition of scat...

I was reading scat-slinging until you posted that video.
I would've used K10
If they used K10 they could have gotten rid of the inhabitants and demolished the building in one fell swoop.
