Gonna be starting up my own DnD 5e group, looks like! Asked a few people I know if they'd be game and they're in. Got myself a big table and a rug for the basement. Just have to get a couple books now and I'm good to go!
I'll have to be the DM for now unfortunately, but it will still be fun.
when you start GMing you never stop
and it's fun

Yes. He does. Though to be fair I don't think vodka is strong enough for your average dwarf.

Oh yes, uh huh, sure. Definitely.

I'm more or less building him around being as Slav as possible and basing aspects off old folktales and anekdoty. The icon I use for him is literally an Orthodox priest.
I didn't know how to make a character at the start really, so I had to go look to real life for inspiration for it.
Rad as hell dude
Always nice to see someone who doesn't take my own "take an 80s action movie protagonist, call it quits" approach to creating player characters :v: (I'm having fun playing like that though and isn't that what matters?)

If my dwarf lives to the end I've already got his fate in mind: He will use the money to buy a bridge for his village, then the local szlachcic will come along and take it for himself.

These fuckos killed our democracy in the 18th century
if that happens you should feel obliged to liberum veto his ass

I've got a question for you guys:
is it reasonable for my fantasy chef to be really racist against ratfolk in pathfinder because he sees rats as evil agents of spoilage and disease? How about when they're alchemists?
I'm playing him as neutral or neutral good and I wanna know if my fantastic racism is going over the line when it's against another party member.

Depends on how aggressive you are towards your party member but I wholly support character racism
it allows me to fulfill my fantasy of being a cog in the machine that is systematic oppression
It's perfectly reasonable to be racist without being evil; Otherwise every dwarf, halfling, ranger, and ect. would be evil.

I viciously accused him of eating the cheese from our Trox's pack (because he carries all of our food). I also know OOCly that the trox ate it himself after an offhand comment he made while at the hotsprings.
Nah, I'm sure I'll love DM'ing, it's just that my only other experience at it was doing a few games of Heroes Unlimited, and it's a bit stressful having to juggle the entire game like that! DnD 5e is so much simpler, though, so I guess it will at least be much easier to remember and explain all the rules when compared to Heroes. The main thing I had trouble with, though, was keeping track of who was attacking who during combat. For this reason, I think I'm gonna start out using a grid system.
I am trying to find players for my group right now. Got four so far, and I'm not sure if I should aim for a fifth or sixth. Four seems like a nice group number. It's my girlfriend, an acquaintance from an old college club, and two girls I went to highschool with. I don't know the latter three very well, so I was really hoping to squeeze in one or two of my best pals too just so I've got somebody I'm already chummy with, but they're never available during the times I can play, and even then five or six people at the table seems to be approaching that point where shit would start taking a lot of time and get boring.

Once you get into the swing of it, it's easier than you'd think. I had never played D&D before, and after playing one and a half sessions as a player with a more experienced friend DMing, he gave me the reins and everything worked out smoothly. I'm definitely a DM first and a player second since I love telling stories.
Heh just did my second job in shadowrun, had to blow up a factory making artillery shells cause they're using blueprints that they don't own. Ended up with a point of notoriety at the end.
Used ice storm to get most of the guards on the ground, we set the plastique, then went off to "convince"(aka mind control) the security decker to delete the blueprint info and any security footage.
Apparently it's bad form to pop the decker afterwards due to loose ends, ignore that it was with an smg loaded with APDS

Since when? I've been in a couple of games where the the only evidence the team left were other people's blood stains and missing persons.
My bard only sleeps in trees out of necessity, even if his climb skill is shit. Besides, not everyone likes scat singing, so that doesn't always bring a stable flow of cash for a stay at an inn.
Also, consider the following; the paladin has a tent in which 4 people can fit in with. Now, that's useful for the party, isn't it? Now, consider the fact that the paladin keeps trying to seduce/grab/fuck/rape you during your sleep. Would you stay in that tent or would you take your chances with the tree, that is, if he doesn't come after you?
I will ravish you one day. Sleeping naked is completely nonsexual to my paladin, as is preparing spells in the nude, conserving body heat and ritualistic, tantric sex. The Slav and the loli already sleep with me, my lay on hands will be ready for whenever you succumb to your primal desires.
Unless you try to kick a fucking skeleton to death and almost get me killed again of course.
What kind of a fucking party is this

yeah, I'm not sure why you'd get notoriety for offing someone
we've offed buildings and I don't think we got any for that
It's too early for this shit

You only get notoriety if people know about it, you should've live streamed it.
What kind of a fucking party is this
That's a good question. I'm not sure even I know, and I'm their DM.
We're getting a hopefully normal druid joining the party next sessions though, so maybe life will get better.

And I thought my cleric was strange for breathing on peoples necks while they slept.
What have I done?

Something Awful

I DID let him out back into the mean streets of Saigon when we fucked up and tortured a chipped KE officer in my prison, but I'm pretty sure he had reverted to a feral state by then...
Shit I really shoulda had a 'Cell-Cam' live stream...

Let's hope he's sane, unlike the cleric and the paladin.

I am perfectly sane friend
I think you'll find that running around and tweeting like a bird while naked is an honourable act in the eyes of Aleria
