ha, gaaaayyy
Sorry, forgot where I was Grr, I'm a minmaxer and numbers are the most important part of the game, and roll20 is rigged, also emotions are for women grr
The Dragonborn in my party was part of a spartan-like military order belonging to a totalitarian dragon king, and fled to pursue the means to free his people. The Party finally entered the Dragon's land, and managed to encounter a band of these knights. I couldn't resist. After the players killed the first two, I had a third show up, drop his sword and shield, and menacingly brandish a large, enchanted mace. They all knew what was coming, but that didn't make it any less funny.
"TRAITOR!"
He then summarily beat the bejesus out of the Dragonborn PC, though the Rogue eventually brought him down with a volley of arrows. Of course. Normally I'm averse to any spicy memes in my campaign, but I simply couldn't help myself the opportunity given the fact that the player whose character it was also happened to be a huge Star Wars fan.

Anyone here play Anima? I find it 100x better than Pathfinder or 3.5 or 4. From Character building to combat, it's just better in every way. More customization, more expansive and more room to make your character 100% unique. Anyone who has played Anima share this opinion? or Do you prefer standard D&D

I was actually planning on starting an Anima game sometime in the coming weeks. I can't really compare it to D&D, it's much too different. And I'm also biased as shit on account of fundamentally disliking D&D.
its only anime if thats the world you set it in. I just like the magic system better. and the d100 system better than d20
any game that has a spell which blows up the entire world is automagically top-tier
any game that has a spell which blows up the entire world is automagically top-tier
FATAL?
FATAL?
Top. Tier.
FATAL?
The difference is that in Anima it's intentional, but in FATAL it's because of shittily designed rules.
any game that has a spell which blows up the entire world is automagically top-tier
Exalted.
Exalted.
there's no spell that does that in exalted though no, custom charms don't count lmao
Exalted.
Total Annihilation is just a 1-mile radius iirc, Creation-Slaying Oblivion Kick blatantly ignores/misinterprets some rules (and even then it was only possible in-theory in 2e, pre-errata). If there actually was something that destroyed the entire world, I think the Mask of Winters would have used it by now. :v:
Starting my second session as a DM later tonight. Going to set up some speakers so I can have some background music going. I have some tracks from various movies and games but does anyone know a good site where I can download mass amounts of good songs that work with a generic fantasy setting?

It starts rather small and then grows for a little while determined by your Essence. For an Essence 5 caster, the biggest it'll end up is a radius of 275 yards.

I've checked out Shadowrun. I don't really understand how the three titles are different, the first two look like computer games, and the third being a proper RPG tabletop.
any game that has a spell which blows up the entire world is automagically top-tier
AFAIK there is no spell that can destroy the world in anima. the closest to that are two spells Greater Destruction which can destroy a large city but nothing with a sum of 400 presence or more. or Uncreation which is like Greater Destruction but with no limit to the presence and instead of destroying, it makes it so that thing never existed. but both are limited to about Large city in terms of radius. plus neither spell can be used by players unless the gm allows players to have Gnosis
I've checked out Shadowrun. So now we have 4 Shadowrun video games all called Shadowrun, in addition to Tabletop Shadowrun. You just need to go find yourself a [del]nerd[/del] node, and then hope you don't accidentally kill yourself before you manage to kill yourself and also the world.
Another session of D&D last night, it went pretty good Back in the main city we finish our errands and head out to go and find the dragons lair. About an hour out we see a large explosion, so naturally we go and investigate. We come to a clearing and there is lava everywhere, ash in the air, and a ruined city ahead. Make a bee-line straight for the castle, front door is locked, so my character (goliath) boosts everyone through a window. Pitch black inside, except for a door with a feint orange glow, I say "fuck that" and go and check downstairs, rouge figures "maybe thar be booty" and sneak sneakys on over to the door and creeps inside. Theres a "blazing skeleton" which of course leads to 10 minutes of weed jokes and naming the skeleton "Cheech". Back to the game! Rouge sneaks by, loots a chest for an amulet and ring, Cheech notices him on the way out and attacks. Roll for initiative. Everyone has a bitch of a time hitting it, they all jump out the window, rouge rolls a 20 to do a flip out the window and ends up doing 3 while on fire Meanwhile I got no fuckin' clue whats going on so I just head to open the downstairs door only to be greeted by a skeleton with swords grafted on its arms after doing so. I only know 1 way to kill shit, so I dump my 2500lbs shield on his bony ass, crushing him underneath, and the proceed to jump on it until hes a fine paste. To my right is the rest of the party battling Cheech in the window, so I walk under the window, grab my barrel of water, and in a motion akin to a prehistoric firefighter, smash it on him. Few seconds go by... hes out! Aaaaaaand hes back on fire... fuck this, grab his ankles and throw him at the opposite wall 30 feet away As the rogue is trying to escape And it lands 10 feet from him as he has 4hp Shardmine named vox force-hammers the skeleton and after a few more blows, hes dead. Now the castle is clear after a brief check, as we're about to leave I roll a 20 to check for a cellar. This cellar leads to a narrow pathway, and eventually opens up to some sort of cave. Trucking downstairs we come upon a coffin, alter, and pool of water. 20m of arguing what to do with the coffin the rouge comes along, boots the lid off, and its a messy pile of bones from a winged demon, some with ruin symbols on them that match the alter. Everyone says "fuck that, GTFO", except me, I figured it'd be fun to play match with the bones on the alter by myself. And it summons some dude named Carter, just a regular human decked out in black studded leather. eh, whatever, I introduce himself and give him the rundown, he thanks me and makes his way out. Turns out hes an old king of some sort, of the castle above, and upon seeing it in its wrecked state, gives it to me! The now "LORD" TREEBEARD owns a whole city! The party shakes their head and wonders wtf I've just done Leaving the city we go to the desert and trip into a hole leading to a series of caves about big enough for a dragon. After a buncha rolls we find the dragons treasure chamber where a buncha cocks are already there to claim the loot. Hell no, we kill them dead, but not after I get to 2hp and barricade myself in the treasure room while they kill the last guy (In my defense I had 2hp, and if I died the Goliath Barbarian becomes a frenzied demon king or some bullshit) While I'm in there I find a pair of magic boots, and a magic mirror, among other magic things. So I claim the boots and the mirror, secretly talk to the DM and take ALL the platinum and gold I could fit inside the chest on my back (300 platinum, 10000 gold) leaving the rest of the party with just 10000 to split. I didnt take a cut of that "because" the boots and mirror for good enough for me, they have no idea! Meanwhile the Goliath barbarian is bored in the city waiting on his magic limbs, so he goes and looks for things to kill. He stumbles upon a unicorn, a rock golem, a griffin, and finally a raging drake. He dukes it out with the drake armed with only 1 arm and gets it down to 6hp before succumbing to a horrible death.... while having 500 platinum on him... so I gotta go hunt him down. I'll cut the last bit short We loot some magic challice from the dragons room, take it to the wizard, trade it for a tome we need for the king, meet Carter there, and go back to tell the king of what we've done and give him the tome. The king knows of Carter and he was not happy at all... So far, because he tasked us with getting a tome we -Brought a dragon to his castle, nearly killing him and wrecking his castle -had a unapproved fiest with the dragons corpse in the anvilmans district -summoned a demon king or something -gave the wizard a challace that will probably come back to bite the kings ass And more to come!
I figured out how to hit Mach 1 straight out of character creation in Shadowrun, on foot, you need a mage buddy who can summon a force 7 or 8 spirit with the movement power though. You need to be a metatype with at least 7 natural agility, take SURGE 3 so you can buy metagenetic improvement to get 8 agility, and satyr legs for a *6 run speed (this means you have to be a furry, sorry), then you need to buy muscle toner, rating 3 at used grade is available in chargen, and get your feet replaced with skimmers since they double your speed (hoverboards, basically) All that gives you a move speed of 11*6*2*8=1056m/turn, a turn is three seconds so that's 352m/s, sound is a slow ass 340m/s. [editline]6th January 2016[/editline] Although if you trip or hit a curb you're going to die.
and then your body immediately turns into a pancake upon deceleration because there's no way you're going to turn on a dime without hitting so many Gs your eyeballs fly out
I think at that speed you'd just splatter.
but imagine the uses of an instant blood spray for the shock factor on your enemies now you're here now you're a bloody goop flying at your enemies at mach 1

It either has a radius of 15000ft or 3.58e17 (three and a half octillion) miles. I see it as the former. which is only 2.84 Miles in any directrion and since it only makes a dome, it's only things on the surface within the dome that can be disintegrated. So I don't see it destroying a planet.
