how can you interpret 1 AU as anything other than a fuckhuge (outdated) measurement for space?
Well depending how you interpret that spell. It either has a radius of 15000ft or 3.58e17 (three and a half octillion) miles. I see it as the former. which is only 2.84 Miles in any directrion and since it only makes a dome, it's only things on the surface within the dome that can be disintegrated. So I don't see it destroying a planet.
how the fuck do you interpret an astronomical unit as 15000 feet?
also, your other value is wrong, because the distance from the earth to the sun is nowhere near that large "it is now defined as exactly 149597870700 metres (about 150 million kilometres, or 93 million miles"
I just realized you're probably talking about the outdated version of the spell, the updated version just literally says the AoE is one AU, no math involved. Although your math is way off, the two ways you could interpret it would end up at 12300 feet and about 62 billion miles respectively. Also the first one is wrong.
It's more anime than that badly translated Sailor Moon RPG, Magical Burst and Maid RPG combined.
Tell me more.

You know you have a good rulebook when it starts with a fucking essay about your favorite show, right after you bitched about the book being too big.
Today on Shadowrun: More terrorism committed by the party! State-sponsored, no less!
Basically we kinda accidentally assassinated the Japanese head of state instead of a Chinese war criminal and I think it's safe to say we were played like a damn fiddle.
Basically we kinda accidentally assassinated the Japanese head of state instead of a Chinese war criminal and I think it's safe to say we were played like a damn fiddle.
That's pretty racist.
That's pretty racist.
Do note that the "assassination" was us applying two missiles to a commercial airliner. We didn't even mention the around 170 civilian casualties caused from the people also on board!

You should have saved one for a rainy day- or for cases like this, where there's still someone that needs to die.
Or just snuck your way close enough to the airport terminal with a sniper rifle and stacked every bonus you could get.
So I just read through some of the Anima corebook, and I'm pretty sure this is just Dragon Ball Z. This is Dragon Ball Z, and the character I made who has no Magic or Ki abilities is Mr. Satan.

Is there any online tools that you guys wish where out there for tabletops? I was thinking of making a 3D world map where everyone could write location specific notes, I was kind of inspired by West Marches. But I'm having a hard time of thinking of something that would be useful vs "meh well that's nice I suppose."

Something like that would be real nice, since dealing with anything but a flat plain is annoying to map otherwise.
Roll20 but with 3d. Isometric view, I suppose? Something like that would be real nice, since dealing with anything but a flat plain is annoying to map otherwise.
mapping shit out in 3d would be a nightmare though
Yeah, you'd need to actually know how to map in that case.
mapping shit out in 3d would be a nightmare though
Easier than the way I HAD been doing it when dealing with 3D environments on a 2d plane: making one HUGE map and showing it a floor at a time as they move up or down it. A fucking COLOSSAL hassle, that.
Reminds me of the sewers from my first Pathfinder game, which resembled a non-euclidean mess by the end because I had no way of showing that they were going up or down with the map itself.
There's no need for it to be in 3D, they could just introduce a floors system. Switch between floors at the press of a button. Could be useful for like, running matrix/astral stuff in Shadowrun too, and other games with parallel dimensions. Even that would be quite a hassle to work with though, but way better than fucking 3D.
There once was a rogue who was thick, Though his reflexes were quick, He hummed and he hah'd, His will saves were bad, And now his head's on a stick.

The freed energy sweeps up and devours everything, unifying its existence to the Light. Even elemental creatures of light are assimilated by its power. The Holocaust of Light creates a great luminous dome within which everything is dissolved. It has a radius of 300 feet, attacks the Energy AT, and causes a Base Damage of 350. Anyone receiving damage, no matter how small, must beat a MR Check with a Difficulty of 160 or be joined with the Light, and automatically destroyed in body and soul. It is not possible to designate specific targets within the Holocaust; all except the caster are equally affected. Added Ef fect: +10 Base Damage and doubles the radius of the spell. Maximum Zeon: Intelligence x50 The added effect says you can spend extra zeon to double let the radius. And you can do this about 50 times. By how I would interpret that as a gm is just adding the initial double (300) up to 50 times. Not continuos double 300-600-1200-2400... Ect
