Half catfolk. Boom
But then your backstory has to include one of your ancesters boning a furry
I'm looking to join some game. I already looked at the gamefinder in 4chan, but I couldn't find anything that wasn't late-night or on Fridays and Saturdays since I work on those days.
Does anyone know any games I could join?

And if your a sorcerer your backstory includes your granny getting nailed by a dragon/demon/djinni/fey, so?
And if your a sorcerer your backstory includes your granny getting nailed by a dragon/demon/djinni/fey, so?
The difference is that demons and fey are pretty vanilla, and dragons are usually boned in their human shape.
djinni sorcerers are just weird though

I never knew you were so well versed in the art of the Victorian wank novel, BDA
and if you're a half elf one of your ancestors boned a total cunt
and if you're a half elf one of your ancestors boned a total cunt
i'm sorry i caused all this sex controversy
Get this filthy Mulan fanfiction out of my thread
Glad I'm not the only one to catch onto that. The name Ping gave it away.

Please, usually we're arguing about *way* stupider shit. Like if HP is abstract or a real indicator of damage. Or what dice systems to use.
Or if FATAL is the best system or the best system.

fine then I'M NOT SORRY
If you're doing something like catgirls, try putting it into a setting like Shadowrun or Eclipse Phase, where their existence can easily be justified as "some dude with a catgirl fetish decided to gene splice things together and this was the result".
Then name that mad scientist after you. :v:

Penis did not make a "Pong" sound as it bounced of the head. I'm disappointed, BDA.
I'm moving from 5e to 3.0 and all i got to study is a 3.5e handbook, how different is 3.5 from 3.0. The DM said that it would be a good starting point to study from, but I'm just wondering how big the changes are.
EDIT:
I remember back in the far gone year of 2014 when I was just starting on D&D I first picked up some 3.5 handbooks and oh god was I overwhelmed. Now that i've been playing for a couple years on the easier to learn 5e 3.5 doesn't seem that big of a task to learn. Guess I got lucky, coming in right as the new edition was launched, as well as the local D&D store.

In SR you've also got the option of magical genetics randomly turning some people into furries, random animals that are able to turn into people which would be reverse-catgirls, and several surgical and genetic treatment options if you want to turn yourself into a catgirl, even if you're a guy.
So because our DM is a total amateur (doesn't even use a battle grid ffs)
Why exactly does not using a battle grid make someone an amateur? The guy who started up my highschool's D&D club has been playing D&D since it was first released and I wouldn't call him a bad dm yet he never once used a grid nor even made people measure out their movement. Personally I think not using a grid but using string or something to measure your movements is the best option. Makes it a lot less tedious and more intuitive to deal with moving across diagonals and makes things feel a bit more organic.

I don't know how different they are, but I know that 95% of people who know about editions and shit say that 3.5 is just straight up better than 3.0. Fixes a lot of issues.
Play 3.5, basically.

Nah, just play Pathfinder. It's essentially just 3.75.

And if none of that's enough for you, there's always the Matrix and BTLs

Merely thinking you're a catgirl isn't enough.

Did anyone see this and think of fuel for a SciFi campaign?
A mysterious planet that's 20x further away from our star than Neptune, and is only in range every 10,000 or so years. It's just too juicy of an idea to pass up.
This is your reminder that slimegirl harems have been in vanilla DnD since 3rd edition.
I swear no matter how I try every enemy I throw at my Shadowrun group always always fail critical dice rolls right when I need them not to
Threw literally the most combined-arms encounter at them, an enemy humvee with a rigger pilot, onboard decker, supported by a mage, a near full-borg, and a guy on a motorcycle, with the party's main combatant lured away elsewhere and aside from some damage to the van and the guy with 2 wounds from getting sniped last session going down they had basically no problems
It was awesome as fuck but still literally none of my npc's rolled well except for the one assault cannon shot that nearly scrapped their van
my van is an instrument of chaos. Ramming things is so fuckin strong
Here's what I currently have for my homebrew race.
Should be way less magical realm. Also some filler text. Need to flesh out their living environments as well.

"minus 2 to..." No. 5e does not ever do this, ever. It should give disadvantage on your escape checks. Lesser Darkvision is dumb. Why would cat-people have worse darkvision than elves?

superior catfolk
any race that can be described as (insert animal here) except with BOOBS is boring and lame

Fixed the minus 2 thing. Wasn't aware 5e didn't do that. As for the lesser darkvision, I was just experimenting with that. I'm afraid I'll end up making them too strong or similar to another race.

I think the thing is, with homebrew races, you need to not worry about whether or not you end up being similar to another race, mechanically. It's the fluff for the race, that matters; people aren't going to play your cat people because they've got darksight, they're going to play them because they're cat people.

if I'm not wrong all weapon proficiency features come with 4 weapons
edit: also if those are the fonts and stuff from the phb and you want to sell that on the dmg, I'd be careful. Those are commercial fonts.
I used pretty similar ones in my baraani sourcebook which I can link you to if you'd like
