I've only heard bad things about that thing.
Really? I've used roll20 and Fantasy Grounds both, and I'd never go back to roll20 at this point. I can't think of anything roll20 does better besides maybe the lighting system.
I'm assuming most the complaints are that it isn't free?
I'm not sure you could call Magical Burst a "very serious" campaign. :v:
I'm not saying it's a very serious campaign, but it has serious moments and you're just plain rude. Whatever the case the fact remains that you came crawling back to me, the best and only stable GM around and my games are fun when people aren't at each others' throats.
8:25 PM - Magical PlotHastening Contractor: Sarah deposits another $50 into the machine. It groans in apparent exertion before slowly dispensing a looooong strand of something red, slightly rubbery, and twisted. It appears to be the world's longest Twizzler.
8:25 PM - Magical PlotHastening Contractor: It just keeps coming.
8:25 PM - Burst Wars VI: Return of the Eri: "..."
8:25 PM - Magical PlotHastening Contractor: There's more Twizzler everywhere.
8:26 PM - Magical PlotHastening Contractor: It begins to curl up as the single strand of twizzle is dispensed.
8:26 PM - Sarah Stafford: pulls at it, starting to coil it around her arm to contain the mass of rubbery barely edible candy.
8:27 PM - Magical PlotHastening Contractor: The Twizzler is forever. By the time you have twizzled the Twizzler, you have at least 5 pounds of candy rope wrapped around your arm.
I'm sorry, I just can't keep my suspension of disbelief in a game like that; https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Twizzlers
According to the Guinness Book of Records, the longest licorice twist ever made measured 1,200 feet (370 m) and 100 pounds (45 kg)
Can you smell that?
Smells like fresh ~drama~.

Then I'll have to step up my game next time.

Idk wtf this is all about but ya gotta be pretty daft to say you're the 'best mos stable gm around'
The group of guys I play with from here rotate gming all the time and I don't think I could ask for better gm's in my life.
"barely edible"
what the fuck

Must be black licorice.
Then I'll have to step up my game next time.
You need to be giving the little girls at least their own bodyweight in candy.

It wasn't meant as a legitimate jab, and I was referring to our own group anyway. Data's two or three games went under, Smas' fell through, Dwarfy killed their own games on at least six different occasions. Was just a teasing remark made in the same vein as one I'd shoot off in a Steam chat with them.
You need to be giving the little girls at least their own bodyweight in candy.
Are you telling me that's a bad thing?
That 2 players, level 3 session I was talking about will probably just end up being a 1 player session.
I talked to my cousin and she told me what kind of character she wants to play. An elf ranger with a wolf companion. I may just start her out at level 2, and make the short adventure about getting her wolf companion and reaching level 3.
One on one games are pretty damn cool all around, hope it goeswell
One on one games are pretty damn cool all around, hope it goeswell
I'm sure we'll both have fun regardless of how bad I am :v:
I don't know if this is real drama or pretend drama, but it's pretty annoying either way. So, cut it out.
"barely edible"

Anyone who can actually enjoy Twizzlers, is actually an alien infiltrator, like in They Live. Real humans cannot consume them without danger.
final fantasy d6 is pretty fun, very lax on the rules
just wish someone had made a large monsters section instead of having to remake final fantasy monsters by hand
Oh god it's been over half a year since I've done any writeups of my XCOM game.
So then, sessions 8+ of XCOM, featuring [sp]TERROR[/sp]
We last left our intrepid paramilitary organization in the third week of April, the 10th, having just fought some strange new aliens. That same day they finish investigating the alien weapon fragments, and split their research efforts between autopsying a Floater and investigating just what the hell Elerium-115 is.
April 13th, 2016.
Operation Patient King concludes after the last Tall Guy infiltrator is caught and killed by local authorities. And then a massive UFO contact pops up on the radar, heading south across Sweden. A contact that resolves into six smaller contacts, UFO-10 through UFO-15. I say smaller contacts, but three of those are still battleship-sized. The fleet beelines for Gdańsk, Poland, landing on the rooftops and disgorging aliens into the city below. Welcome to the first terror mission!
XCOM dispatches two squads- one to the city itself, to kill aliens, rescue people, and hopefully drive off the UFOs. The other is sent to liaise with the Polish ground forces setting up a perimeter around the city, to offer their expertise and keep the situation contained. XCOM's Russian and American counterparts also sent some help- one agency per pair of landed UFOs, essentially.
Operation Banished Law saw the first squad land near one of the smaller landed UFOs, where they encountered a lot of scared civilians and two very terrifying new alien species, which they would dub 'Bonecrackers' and 'Roofers'. [sp]OldCom Chryssalids without the ability to zombify, and NewCom Chryssalids[/sp]. Oh, I think this is also the first time that Snake People showed up (In the OldCom style).
[t]http://i.imgur.com/3telhuI.jpg?1[/t]
They managed to save half of the civilians present, and capture one of the Bonecrackers.
Operation Red Hydra saw the second squad mowing down waves of Bonecrackers with the help of the Polish military. They also encountered two hulking alien behemoths (Reapers), which they dubbed as 'Tirbles' (Because I wouldn't allow 'tribbles').
[t]http://i.imgur.com/23u9VkY.jpg?1[/t]
They were very glad to have brought that rocket launcher along.
Early the next morning of April 14th, Operation First Law saw the first squad return to the city after refreshing their gear and their members, to ascend the building a UFO was landed on and seize it.
[t]http://i.imgur.com/j9TMCSQ.jpg?1[/t][t]http://i.imgur.com/Cm3h2kn.jpg?1[/t]
They do manage to assault the UFO, at which point its larger partner lifts off and skedaddles. The smaller UFOs had been providing point defense for the big boys.
And this post is large enough as it is so I'll continue catching up over the coming week. The current ingame date is May 28, for reference.

So if it's a Goblin Hotel, is it a hotel exclusive to goblins, or a hotel ran by goblins? Or do goblins think it's just a fancy name for a regular hotel?
