Welp deck of many things and my character is now a woman.
kek [editline]25th September 2015[/editline] more ladies plx
My Paladin can no longer gain levels in Paladin. Welp. Time to become an Antipaladin.
My Paladin can no longer gain levels in Paladin. Welp. Time to become an Antipaladin.
Is it because his alignment changed, or because he forsook his oath? Either way anti-paladin is a terrible option unless the rest of the party is evil/neutral, because you'll be inclined to kill anybody good.

I've decided for the last couple minutes my character lives while she fights the elder air elemental her name will be changed from ezekial to emmy
I use my main OC as a DnD character. This is how he's going so far.
That feeling when you roll a critical hit and you have to roll 12 die to get the damage :v That poor lemure
Playing Shadowrun has kinda desensitised me to lots of dice in other games, I know in D&D an attack with 6d6 is pretty powerful, but in SR six dice is mall cop levels of competence :v:

Hey guys. Anyone have a free slot in a group? I've tried to get a group together for over a year now, but no one wants to play. I NEED MY RPG FIX MANNNN! Any game is cool with me, although I'm currently most familliar with Pathfinder so you might have to be noob friendly if that ain't yo jam.
Welp deck of many things and my character is now a woman.
I deck'd of many things once. Following the consequences of the event, my character eventually ended up as a vampire lord of a section of Ravenloft who, in turn, then ended up siring a baby girl that went onto become the greatest warlord the realm ever came to know. It was a weird day.
Deck of many things The Lost: can't gain levels in the class that I have the most levels in.
Thanks to that deck I now have at least four stats above 20.
Any shadowrun games I could join by any chance? Fairly new to tabletops myself, only played D&D and Fallout so far and would love to expand into SR a little.
What the heck are the 5e stats for Minor Elementals in the Conjure Minor Elementals spell?
What the heck are the 5e stats for Minor Elementals in the Conjure Minor Elementals spell?
Monsters with the Elemental subtype at the given CR, look in the Monster Manual. 1 Azer or Gargoyle 2 Fire Snakes 4 Magmin or Dust, Ice or Magma Mephits 8 Mud, Smoke, or Steam Mephits

Bonus question: What's a good way to subdue an actual Elemental (Conjure Elemental) in the scenario that my Concentration is broken and it becomes hostile? If the spell ends naturally, does the Elemental disappear or does it simply become hostile?

Current D&D campaing: One guy dropped due to job, other player is missing, not replying to any emails or messages (most likely doesn't have access to a computer or internet for whataever reason) And today one of our players left the session early due to a blackout :suicide: At least it was fun, party rented a warehouse to turn it into the guild's base, and we discovered a hexer was living in the basement. Turns out the warehouse was built on top of his house, and he didn't mind us living on his "roof". We ended up befriending him and he joined our guild. If anyone wants to join, read the rules and apply. https://app.roll20.net/lfg/listing/31160/the-phantom-forest-jrpg-inspired-campaign
So, somewhat unsurprisingly, Aperturefan's super serious and mostly gritty Mekton game that takes place in a near-future setting is ever so slowly crawling and edging it's way closer to being filled to the brim with silly bosses, serious undertones, and espionage. So I made him a title card for the campaign.

That feeling when your combat monster character gets entirely and unintentionally Worfed First turn of combat in Savage Worlds, my LMG-wielder in heavy armor fires off a full burst at a skeleton-nazi chasing our truck (It's a long story), completely fail to kill him, and then the single shot of return fire does enough to kill any other member of the party, but proceeds to knock me on my ass and make me useless while everyone else mops up. Admittedly pretty funny in hindsight, especially since everyone's dice were fucking on fire for damage rolls tonight.

I should work on my ideas for a street level-ish SR game more, a game where the players can't go toe to toe with their problems and expect to win without some smart moves should be interesting.

How does 5th balance itself?
Back in 4th you could just limit total BP for that. How does 5th balance itself?
It has rules for Karmagen, now, actually, in Run Faster. So you could probably just do that. Before Run Faster came out, though, the only suggestion for a street-level game like Rents is talking is literally a "Street Level" version of the priority chart, which basically just made it so everyone who needed money was fucked while mages were exactly the same. There was also one that went the other way, giving out tons of dosh but still the same magic options.
