what
Just, despite being a bunch of fairly nerdy people in this world. There's no real mention of anime. No anime art, no cool mecha figurines, nothing to really indicate it exists. There's mention of fantasy stuff, tabletop rpgs and video games, alongside movies... but suspiciously no mention of the large-eyed art from the east aside from a little tiny reference and Wrench's eyes using the eastern emote style things (like ^_^) instead of the more western style of things( like ;^) ) Again, not bad or good, just kind of hilarious for a game about hackers, trolls and internet lowlifes when you can't go five seconds on the internet in the real world without running into someone's waifu with a baseball cap slapped on her head in photoshop.
[t]http://gearnuke.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/watch-dogs-profiler-5.jpg[/t]
¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Oh well, I guess my ultimate point is GTA V has ""anime"" in it but has very little in common with the actual genre. Watch Dogs (2 especially) is about people who would probably watch anime and has a universe that fits in very well with the ideas and themes presented in cyberpunk, which Japan has made quite a few contributions to, yet has no presence aside from some text fields. This is starting to make me look like a big weeb warrior though and I'm totally not meaning to so I'll just end it here :v:
This game gets pretty explicit with referencing [sp]Aliens Vs. Predator[/sp] and a shitton of movies from what I remember and have heard. That and references are usually pretty safe. They also could have referenced their own work a shit ton as Ubisoft is flat out, canonically stated to exist. I think they just didn't want to shoe horn in hackers as always needing to be gamers. Wrench is a mechanic, Sitara is an artist, Josh is dedicated to hacking, Horatio is[sp]expendable[/sp]and[sp]Ray is older and just as dedicated as Josh is to actual hacking and programming[/sp]. Marcus himself is also far more into film, robotics and hacking than anything else it seems. I think they just realized them also being huge gamers on top of all of that would come across as patronizing or pandering to the audience unless they really wanted to do it well, and they had other goals.
That's all true, but there's one instance I can think of that shows their interest in games. They get incredibly excited at the idea of [sp]leaking Ubisoft's newest game trailer before it's finished.[/sp]

Annnd finished the main missions. Pretty good, I liked the [sp]everyone helps! part of the last mission, and seeing Dusan not full of himself for a bit[/sp]. On the vote machine mission, [sp] I didn't enter the premises anytime. Fun fact: the machines are INCREDIBLY light, to the point your RC car can move them! So I did exactly that with the ones on the third floor. I pushed all of them down the stairs, then out of the door and into the inner court, then I moved them close to an electrical floor and hit the switch. [/sp] It took less than I thought, around 15 minutes or so :v:
I got WD2 for Christmas, messed around on it a bit, haven't put it back in since tho. The whole "hey fellow kids" thing is just too much. I do not find a man wearing a robotic mask that simulates his current mood cool

You should give it another chance though, the story has some genuinely great moments.
I uh, didn't expect this at all lmao [t]http://i.imgur.com/vgBzDrT.jpg[/t]
I uh, didn't expect this at all lmao [t]http://i.imgur.com/vgBzDrT.jpg[/t]
That car is actually crazy fast (and it handle's very well). It's actually one of my favorite cars to drive in the game.
I uh, didn't expect this at all lmao [t]http://i.imgur.com/vgBzDrT.jpg[/t]
yeah, the stupid little smart cars. they're all over silicon valley.

hahaha holy shit i didn't think it was possible to get hacked while shopping for clothes. also, the npc dialogue in this game is top-notch.
My frames dip to around 30-40's in some places on - i5 2500k @ 4.0Ghz / 8GB ram / GTX 970 Geometry: Ultra Extra Details: 0% Terrain: Ultra Vegetation: High Texture Resolution: High Texture Filtering: high Shadows: Very High headlightshadows: off Water: high reflections: high Screenspace Reflections: Very High San Francisco Fox: off DoF: Off Motion blur: off Bloom: On Ambient Occlusion: HBAO+ Temporal Filtering: On AA: SMAA what can do I do to get solid 60fps? it's kinda annoying that I can get 60fps on GTA V but not this.

The only way I can get it to run mostly smoothly is by closing nearly everything else on my computer before launching it, and even then it's not 60+ everywhere. This is with an i5-4690k and GTX 1070 (turning down Terrain to medium also helped).
[t]http://gearnuke.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/watch-dogs-profiler-5.jpg[/t]
Hi me
Sitara just told me how much she hates manbuns and Marcus should never get one. Well thats pretty rich from a girl whose hair looks like a giant paintbrush most of the time.
Also anyone else thinks that hacking during chases was better in the first game? It feels really clumsy/ineffective to me now.
I just beat Watch Dogs 2 last night and although I enjoyed the game, it really makes me appreciate the first a lot more. There's a lot more to do, better game mechanics for sure, and a lot more customization; but- as expected- the tonal shift from post-modern noire to edgy 'fight the power' left me somewhat alienated from really caring about any of the characters. I didn't mind Marcus, Wrench kind of grew on me after a while (even then, he's still obnoxious at times), and I always liked T-Bone; but other than that I didn't really care about the others. I did like that the Blume conspiracy ran deeper than the last game. The pranks and 'hacker culture' along the way became nauseating at times though. Probably because I see too much of it in my day to day as is, that seeing a whole game promoting it makes it difficult for me to connect with. As much as Aiden Pierce was a cliche brooding protagonist, I think it would have been interesting to bring him back as someone Marcus does a few missions with/for; where they even debate the effectiveness of their methods as they fight the same battle. Either way, it's been a fun game even if the tonal shift between games is jarring for someone who doesn't care much for the hacktivist/trolling/hacking culture.
Well at the very least (about Aiden) [sp] We know that deadsec looks up to him in one of the dlc missions where he's in jail and you're suppose to free him. They were ecstatic to help him out because he's the infamous Fox and all that, even Aiden thanks you with a nod to the camera you're looking through because he's genre savvy, personally I would of loved doing a mission with him, at least we got Jodi (in a dlc) and T-bone back. [/sp] [editline]30th January 2017[/editline] I naturally gravitate to resistance/activist/rebel protagonists in general so that's probably why I enjoyed the game despite the shift in tone
So there's a new cutscene and an audio transmission that shows when you complete the last mission. [sp]I have no idea who the guys are or what they are talking about but I think this is setting up for more content[/sp]
Is there any video? I don't wanna go through the whole end of the game atm
this game is so beautiful, just bought for ps4 i love how feel-good it is compared to the first game, it felt a little hard to suspend my disbelief for that though [editline]14th February 2017[/editline] i cringed at the whole 'yeah we're hackers whoa so awesome' thing at first but i realise that it's nice to have a game where it's just a bit whacky and positive
was playing watch dogs 2, reading some guys text when a red van comes up, fucking mow downs everyone on the corner, drives off a little, I force his car to stop, he gets out, acts like nothing happened jesus christ I didn't know they could do that

Events like this makes me wish you could still play as a vigilante, I can only imagine how crazy it would be to do a car chase against an armed driver.
I feel like this game will be a alright pickup for $30-$40. It doesn't look amazing, but at the same time it doesn't look awful. Just kinda average.
agreed. also you dont need a gtx 660,just get a 750 ti instead i have the gtx 750 ti and it says i could run it on low,but i can run it on high and 60fps. p.s i dont have any trainers or mods i wont show any gameplay since shadowplay is a piece of garbage that chooses to work when it wants to work
