it's not out on pc yet
Yeah i know its not out on pc.
I just wanted those playing on xbox and ps4 opinions
I plan on getting it hopefully for something around 40-50 dollars so sale or other place selling it for cheap is my goal. I like ubi games because I don't mind repetitiveness :v: plus I hear moderately good things about the game
I'll have to see for myself when the game's on PC but apparently its core issue is that it doesn't take risks at all, and the best way to play it is to force yourself to ignore guns and keep it non-lethal only.
How does the co-op work in this? I've seen varying reports.
Is it like, campaign missions or separate co-op ones? I'm hoping for the latter since Saints Row went to shit and I need a new co-op open world game to play through with my friend.

I tried to go non-lethal, and it was working out at first, but later on, I just ended up using guns, because fuck it.
It really destroys my immersion when I see this light hearted teenagers and the main protagonists is able to murder everyone with lethal weapons. It seems kind of ridiculous and doesn't fit all that well with the theme.

Isn't it possible to have a non-lethal playthrough though?
I think there are non-lethal options at times but I think the game still wants you to murder enemies.

Nope, missions etc never tell you to kill other enemies. You can even defeat the "bosses" using the stun gun
Gameplay wise it does, seems like there's generally more to do. However the graphics looks pretty much the same and as far as I can tell have some of the same problems as the first game: bland textures, pop in, poor vehicle physics, fake reflections etc. but I guess if it's more fun then it's a step in the right direction.
Gameplay is like a million times more important than graphics anyway.
The game could really benefit from a metal gear-esque take on lethality, from what I've seen you get a few options for going non lethal but there's no benefit or consequence to it. You don't even have the reputation system from the first one
Basically, it's why I enjoy Ubi games to begin with. When they do it right like ACII, Farcry 3(and imo 4) and hopefully this, the gameplay is pretty solid and that's what makes it fun. I'm a boring sap so repetitive gameplay is fine to me as long as it feels nice. The only time I feel like Ubi fucks up is when they do cash grabs or obviously don't bug test.

You think there would be one considering the goal is to bring attention to your cause, like do you get portrayed as hackers or terrorists or something
Did Ubi ever give an explanation as to why the PC release is 2 weeks after the console release?
Could be console early deals, or maybe they're testing to see how it runs on consoles first v:v:v
Did Ubi ever give an explanation as to why the PC release is 2 weeks after the console release?
Nothing specific other than "optimization and polishing", but looking at the PC exclusive features, I'd say it's worth it if they do it right.
General
• 4K support
• Stuttering/lag framerate optimization – We employed a fix that makes all controls much more responsive and less framerate-related. We’ve optimized resource creation, GPU VRAM upload and required VRAM for the game.
• No FPS cap
• Full SLI/Crossfire support at launch
• Multiple save file support – This feature allows players to have up to three auto save slots for three separate playthroughs.
• Multi-monitor support with borderless mode and advanced settings that allow for customized placement of menu and HUD.
• Multiple windowed mode options – Windowed mode with flexible/resizable windows, multi-monitor borderless.
Improved Graphic Features
• Screen Space Reflections
• Headlight Shadows – Support for additional shadows from car headlights
• Extra Details Options – Increases the level of detail for all objects in the game, and adds more details to objects in the distance.
Improved Graphics Options
• FOV sliders
• Pixel Density sliders
• Sharpness sliders
• Ultra Textures pack available at launch
• Anti-aliasing options:
o TXAA
o MSAA
o Post Processing Anti-Aliasing options SMAA and FXAA
Improved Keyboard/Mouse controls
• Full adaptation with mouse and keyboard
• We’re using raw mouse input to reduce latency and use the Windows hardware cursor throughout the game without any additional signal filtering to smooth or accelerate mouse movement by default
• Advanced keyboard support – Keyboard hotkeys for every menu and app for faster access. Additionally, all hotkeys can be remapped.
• Mouse-centric UI – Any UI screen, menus or smartphone app supports full mouse interaction, so the player can finish any UI task with the mouse only. Everything is clickable and has appropriate button states.
• Toggle/Hold modes for different controls (aim, sprint, walk, inventory, etc.)
Driving
• Driving has been adapted to suit the keyboard controls, with adjustable steering sensitivity. Same goes for driving camera sensitivity and auto-centering camera behavior
Gamepad support
• On-the-fly switching between mouse and keyboard to gamepad, without any additional options, UI will just switch to gamepad mode
• Supported gamepads: Xbox One controller, PlayStation 4 DualShock controller, third-party XInput gamepads
Wait, if the PC version isn't out yet, how do people know it's going to come with Denuvo?
Will Watch Dogs 2 be using Denuvo?
Watch Dogs 2, like all Ubisoft PC games, will use an anti-tamper solution by Denuvo. Watch Dogs 2 requires a one-time online activation upon installation -- an industry standard practice -- and then can be played offline.
The fact it's using Denuvo is why I'm worried about it being a shit port because these two things tend to go hand in hand.
The fact it's using Denuvo is why I'm worried about it being a shit port because these two things tend to go hand in hand.
No they don't? Pretty much every game uses Denuvo. DOOM used it, BF1 used it, TF2 used it and those are all pretty good PC versions.
Can you please not shit up another thread to talk about denuvo? Stick to the thread you've already derailed for that, this one is about watch dogs 2
http://thenextweb.com/gaming/2016/11/16/watch-dogs-2-genitalia/
Yaaaaaaaaaaay double standards.
The only reason they're probably not removing the dicks from WD2 is because it'd take more effort than to remove the vaginas.
Unreal. Bunch of spineless cowards.
When CPY cracks this, I know already there isn't going to be many sales, but when they do.. Hoooo boy you better believe it's gonna tank.

[XB1/PS4] [Bug / Glitch] Explicit NPC Model - We've updated one NPC model that was previously explicit. Nudity on other male and female NPCs has not been changed
So it was only a single prostitute that was changed.

Arkham Knight, Dishonored 2, Just Cause 3, Lords of the Fallen, Homefront the Revolution ran like complete dogshit on release.
Like, sorry, but there's been a streak of games running like garbage and using Denuvo simultaneously, some of which are notorious for being the fucking worst ports we've seen in a long time. Doesn't mean Denuvo causes it, it just means that it's a bad sign. And like all signs, it may turn out to be nothing at which point I'll happily buy the game at a price I think is right.
A game having Denuvo never stopped me from buying it. A game having a garbage port, however, did.

Yeah how dare I have legitimate concerns about games I buy with my own fucking money as a paying customer
Can I just say that I love the soundtrack for WD2?

If any console players can help me settle down an idea of what version to pick, how is the overall Soundtrack quality? Does it justify the extra $10 for the Deluxe edition to get ahold of it?
