I'm kind of impressed how alive the world feels. I did a shitty parking job and cut of some woman. She got angry and suckerpunched me. Some other NPC saw that, called 911 "she's going crazy". The police arrived, pulled their guns and tried to arrest her. She decided to run away instead and got tackled after the officer called in "she's resisting arrest". They then brought her back to the police car and drove off.
I never saw interactions like that in any game before (except GTA of course).
That's miles above GTA honestly, at least GTA V

Every time I see a bug like this I wonder why the devs didn't at least include a fail safe to teleport you back to a checkpoint or something.
I mean, it's not like they're unfamiliar with it considering I saw a lot of glitch compliations of the original Watch_Dogs have this issue.

At least I can ignore stuff like this because I'm genuinely enjoying the game but yeah, I've been able to do this on command at this point
what are you supposed to do in that situation? commit suicide somehow? exit out of the game?

I just returned to main menu and it placed me nearby where it happened so, nothing was lost really.
That's true, I just don't think it's gonna be a complete flop like WD was
Watch Dogs ? A flop ? Where do you get that from, it sold like crazy. And it got good to great review scores.
Watch Dogs was a commercial success, breaking the record for the biggest first day sales of a Ubisoft game, and becoming the biggest launch of a new IP ever in the United Kingdom at the time. As of 1 January 2015, the game has shipped over 10 million copies.
Having been in San Fran for a grand total of 13 minutes the pressures of society have hit hard. I have now become a waistcoat-wearing, fedora-tipping "hipster" :v:
Also, game is far too much fun, well done Ubi!
After buying the ability to hack cars (to make them speed up and turn and whatever), I can no longer hack people driving cars because it just tries to hack the car itself. Is there a button to toggle or something? I can only hack pedestrians on the street right now which is a pain, especially when the game just guesses which person to hack near you.

I'm mostly going off of reputation so I admit my fault on that one. I just don't understand why people think WD2 wasn't going to improve over WD

Would also love to know this, now I cant amass funds whilst speeding through the city!
Whilst walking through the city, I stopped for a brief second then suddenly hear some shouting about someone cheating, turn around to see a guy start kicking the shit out of the other guys car, only for him to pull out a gun so the dude setting about the car runs off. City really feels alive sometimes, especially with the random gangs attacks too. Pretty damn swish all round.

Yeah, I've noticed tons of that stuff too. One thing now is that, even though you could hack traffic lights in WD1, this time around if cars actually hit each other the drivers will get out and argue with each other or even start shoving, which can attract cops if they see.
Stuff like "My day was already shit and now you're making it worse?" and they start fighting. It's some almost GTA-like detail.
Also, thought this looked good:

I just wish the phone camera didn't have those lens scratches, they don't make much sense IMO.
I went clothes shopping and in the entire time I was there I was hearing a guy tell his story about a trip he went our of town. Its amazing that it wasnt just a 3 sentence thing, he was going on for a good 5 minutes

I gotta admit I just really admire details such as those imperfections in the lens, really shows the phone as a more frequently used device.
How's everyone running the game? I think my cpu is bottlenecking me a bit, I don't think I should be struggling this hard on a 960.

That's really impressive. I know GTA uses random throwaway sentences and responses that sometimes are coherent (you tend to get a lot of "Great X last night" "I don't give a shit") because of the generic phrases and linking, but to hold a full on conversation sounds awesome.
I think I need to eavesdrop more.
So apparently this has coop? Can someone explain?

Yeah I mean it was one sided but it's understandable because he was telling a story.
I didn't listen to it in detail but I remember when I walked in he said that it was a bit of a drive and by the time I was walking out he was still talking about it was worth it to see the sights or something
So apparently this has coop? Can someone explain?
IIRC it's seamless as in "player is nearby" you'll both see each other and say hi if you want and if you both want you can start walking together I think and it just starts a session.

Checking now, the only thing I'm behind on is the Graphics card, recommended is a 970 and I'm at 960, that shouldn't be that bad should it?
Yes interacting with NPCs is pretty interesting

So there's a side mission where you have to [sp]escape from Alcatraz.[/sp] It was actually pretty intense. And the series of missions that one was in was actually pretty well developed for a side quest. I almost forgot it was a side quest when I was finished.

This was honestly one of the first big things I noticed. Just walking around the city, you'll see tons of actual groups of people carrying out full conversations, walking together, [sp]two dudes making out[/sp], taking group photos, etc. It's just really fucking cool.

Woah...If the game was in L.a. i would swear this was the real place that inspired the good ol' Grove Street
I am surprised how good this game is
like, ubisoft learned alot of lessons from the first game. The characters arnt shit, the writing is cool, Im hacking more than attacking, and the entire game feels like what happens when you give a bunch of shitposters hacking abilities.

Yeah, I really enjoy the cheese of the characters. I thought I'd hate the emoji mask dude the most but he's actually the most fun one.
This looks pretty good from what I've seen so far, I want to pick it up but I haven't played the first one because of its bad reputation.
It's not required to understand the story is it? It doesn't seem like it is from what I've seen so far but I wouldn't know for sure.

Nah anyone can jump into Watch_Dogs 2 without knowing much about the original.
The only thing that is consistent from the original is CtOs being upgraded
[sp] And the Aiden cameo in Shadows ( though nothing much comes to it ) and the Raymond Kenny appearance [/sp]

Some things never change
Also why do I have to pay my 3D printer (with digital money, no less) to make me stuff? :v: It'd make more sense if you had to find crafting materials or something
I assume the cost is to replicate the cost of buying those materials. I recall a conversation with Wrench about a [sp]unicorn dildo gun[/sp] and Marcus says "that resins not cheap you know".
I also just managed to kill myself with a crane. Twice. Those things are lethal
Also is the game super quiet for anyone else? It's kinda annoying because the music is great and I can barely hear it. I guess I could turn up my amp but it's at the perfect volume for everything else and I'd rather only do that at the last resort
