Is there an option to turn off for the framerate? During driving my frames drop like crazy, and looking at certain locations, like downtown, just tank it, yet I'll get into a crazy firefight somewhere on the map and it's silky smooth
Seems like ubisoft is keen on fixing multiplayer balance, last patch made things a lot better and they were looking for more feedback, cool stuff
I'm also getting matched almost instantly for bounties
I'm just glad that we can replay missions now, and that weapons found off of gangs and soldiers are available for printing.
More weapon choices are good in my book, and it saves me from restarting the game over and over to see every mission possibility.
i found a way to instantly crash the game.
intercept an audio log, and shoot the person who is having the conversation.
Game is currently 33% off on Steam
Got the game, pretty fun so far. Though I think i've spent more time wondering around the city then doing missions lol

I've spent more time driving around, sapping bank accounts and checking people's profiles while declaring myself the king of Alcatraz than playing the story.

First thing I did when I got control, was not to buy pants, but go to Alcatraz. Everyone laughed at me. They sell shirts and hats on the island but not pants.
The Devs copy and pasted a wikipedia article (complete with footnote numbers) for a texture :v:

I enjoy all the pop culture references.

I found the Martin Shkreli nod to be quite excellent.
Hows this game compared to the first? Is it worth the $40?
Hows this game compared to the first? Is it worth the $40?
worth 60 imo

a thousand times better than the first, and this time no ridiculous graphics downgrade.
Has anyone with a 1070 noticed any issues running the game? Thinking of getting this but steam forums mention 1070 specific problems.

I have a 1080, runs like water.
980, runs smooooth.
Pretty stable with a 760
game is rly fun surprisingly enough
i finished it a couple days ago
Holy shit, drop-in drop-out coop with strangers needs to become a mandatory feature in open world games.
Just spent an hour and a half running around with some guy, climbed the Golden Gate Bridge, killed some bounty hunters (also other players, also awesome) and danced on top of a taco truck doing 90 on a freeway. Took a stupid amount of selfies, too.
Using the drone/jumper to hack while your buddy sneaks around is fucking great. I can't believe I like this game as much as I do.
wow that was depressing (not main story spoilers)
[sp]I hacked into someones house and found them trying to sufficate themselves in their car, had a suicide message on the phone, ait vent broken door jammed, but you're able to repeadly honk the horn to get someones attention. Dunno if I actually saved him, he was already unconscious, but the guy who heard the horn got him out. It was in this neighbour hood http://i.imgur.com/DVxCl9Z.png I don't recall which house but there is a ctOS box you can hack, it shows up yellow like other side quests[/sp]
Major main story spoilers: [sp]Horatio's death is so arbitrary and contrived, and you can see it coming from a mile away. I don't quite get why they did it, did they just want to kill somebody off? I'm not certain it even serves a purpose in the narrative. Some mystery gang members just show up and kill him off with little fanfare, and it comes right after they actually give him a mission and some character too. It feels like they had a checklist of story beats that they needed to get through at quickly as possible one of which was killing somebody.
I'm not expecting a narrative masterpiece here, but at least give more reason than what we got. And make it have more impact than him just not hanging around in the HQ anymore.[/sp]
Aside from the story it's a lot of fun. I mainly end up getting into gunfights though, which probably isn't the best way to play with all the gadgets you're given.
Calling in the Cops and Gang Hits makes no sense in some places
[sp]I called one in the underground dog fighting ring and the cops just spawned down there[/sp]

I just bomb the shit out of everyone with the drone.
Funnily enough, guards never call reinforcements when you bomb them, but as soon as they spot you in person, they do.
I just finished the main campaign on Hard after buying the game a few days ago during the sale, and I must say I am impressed in so many ways, after the disappointment that was the original Watch_Dogs. What surprised me the most was that it ran just fine for the most part on this laptop which only has i5-7200U, Intel HD Graphics 620 and 8GB RAM. Ran at... playable framerates (Dxtory tells me about 16 fps, has not seemed to affect gameplay that much though), with settings of any anti-aliasing disabled and everything else Low and Enabled, at 1080p and 75% render scale. Although it did stop (not freeze) for a few seconds to load while driving through populated areas like the middle of San Francisco, probably because there is no dedicated VRAM and it is shared with the system RAM so it has trouble keeping up.

This is why I play Saints Row
such a good feature
Runs like ass on my 1060 and I don't know why.

I called in a gang, and they showed up[sp]on the Chinese barge[/sp]. But honestly, this game is a blast - vast improvement over the first game (which was actually quite enjoyable for the most part).
So uh, I have a damn 0x0007ff error by trying to run Watch_Dogs 2
Someone has a fix for this kind of error?
