You really, really aren't understanding this at all. Different things matter to different games. Some things that can be changed with one game would just ruin a different game if you changed the same thing. With Evil Genius it is the setting and look/feel of it that Matters. With the Elder Scrolls it is the lore that matters. Those are the things you have been asking to be changed, so you're asking for the two most important things in those games to be thrown out for absolutely no reason and saying it doesn't matter about them.
The gameplay of Fallout changed, but the setting and the overall universe itself did not, and that is what was overall the most defining aspect of Fallout. What you're asking for with "add guns to the Elder Scrolls, it'll be fine!" would outright ruin the setting and lore, the main thing that makes the Elder Scrolls what it is. What you're asking for with Evil Genius 2 with the art style change would ruin the feel of it as well as impact the setting in a bad way. Those are the two most important aspects of those games, so what you're asking for would be a terrible decision. They can't be changed because they define the games.
Destroying the most important parts of a game series is not "experimentation".
As i said before:
It's even more absurd for you to say "I've never played the Elder Scrolls, or Fallout, or Evil Genius, but i think they should just drop all the important parts of those games because i don't like it!".
It will be fine for me the changes.
Don't overthinking it. I never played these games because I don't like some specific things on them.
I didn't wanted to play Evil Genius cause of the art style.
I want the developers to change it so there is a possibility for me to play it.
Don't act so overprotective. Maybe The sequel is nothing at all like the way you imagine it.
Maybe it look like Borderland. Maybe the developers make it plays like a MOBA. Maybe It would have first person view like Overwatch. Maybe EVERYTHING.
However I welcome a different change, because maybe this make me buy the game.
Also the funny thing is you and others filled nearly a whole page with anger and disgust for my opinion just because I just posted a tiny little comment as a person who might want to play the sequel.
"I would be pleased if they select an art style like in Borderlands."
OH! THE HUMANITY!!!! What have I done? I anger the fanbase which have 2 whole games, which the last one doesn't count I guess?
Please, don't continue with the war you created in the first place.
Can you please be more positive?

Sure, I had plans to troll you all of you just because I wanted to see the sequel with different art-style.
[editline]Edit because I feel the Sin over my skin[/editline]
Disclaimer: Awesome games like Undertail, Fight Knight [I hope to be good], ICY, *many games I like which have only 1 games* doesn't count when I express my anger for a franchise which have only 2 games and never played. If I played it maybe I had a different opinion for the game. But I can't because it doesn't like Borderland. Peace.
I hope you realize that the devs changing the art style of the new game would very likely alienate the old fanbase, which likely will be the source of a very large portion of the new game's sales.
If you were one of the people making this game, would you rather try to appeal to the old fans, who are pretty much guaranteed to like a new game with similar artstyle, or appeal to potential new customers, who might not enjoy the new art style either?
I hope they nail the gameplay this time.
Try playing the old one right now, while fun it's pretty broken unless you know how to play already. You really need to know how to plan ahead and it's kind of retarded that you need to create tons of dummy rooms to put lockers in so you can raise the pop cap. Not to mention other stupid shit like not being able to demolish corridors which means if you made the base layout incorrect then you're shit out of luck.
Also technically valets are the best minions for guarding your base because soldiers killing enemy agents makes them send even more and some henchmen like red ivan are awful because he has a rocket launcher that blows up your base. There is a mod that fixes a lot of this shit but the original game is pretty terribly designed.

It would been cool if red ivan destroy a part of your base, and then later some low level henchmen repaired the damage for free.
I never played it, but I would love to see something like that.

I am bored.
Just let me have a conversation for the gameplay which might see in the sequel.
Best way to keep heat off your base initially is to make non-lethal traps only, mainly the wind turbine things. As long as the enemy investigators don't hit any objects, they won't report anything illegal happening so your heat lowers when they leave the base. The wind turbines have 9 range including the tile they occupy) so as long as you make the closest door be 10 tiles away, you're pretty safe.
This is a very rough example sketch of how I usually do my entryway. Once the agents breach the first door that leads to the right (into barracks corridor) it stays open for a while so the secondary wind turbines will blow the enemy agents into the first corridor, and the first set of turbines blows them all the way to the outer doors.
Note that you don't actually need doors right at the end of the entry corridor, since the wind turbines keep the enemy agents out for the most part (not the highest level ones, they can evade pressure plates easily) but you might wanna keep them just as a precaution.
Sadly, because the game is buggy, units sometimes hit the wall right next to them when the wind turbines attempt to blow them forward when it should be physically impossible. This does anger the agents.

If you ever played with Red Ivan for more than 15 minutes you know that he is completely unpickable, he sets your base on fire, your minions on fire, your fire extinguishers on fire, himself on fire...
The unofficial fan patch makes him wield machineguns so he actually can be used, but with the rocket launcher, no chance.

So you've gone back to ignoring all the reasons why your idea is absolutely terrible and are just saying "I don't like the game and have never played it, but they should change everything about it please me even though that would ruin what they are"...right. Saying something like "I've never seen Star Wars, but rather than it being in Space they should change everything about the setting for the next movie to a medieval-based fantasy theme with magic and dragons so that I'll like it! Fans would hate it but that doesn't matter, it's a good idea because it's experimentation! Stop being against change!" makes as much sense as what you've proposed.

Huh, then it is funny because I see mostly him in the most pictures of the game when I search in Google. Most viewed henchman, but the most unreliable at the same time.
Then I guess the developers can nerf him and have a story wise reason why he ia more calm than before and not blowong everything in his path.

Btw
I never played Borderland either. I just like the art-style as I said.
However I bought Tales of Borderland because I like adventure games so is a nice combination.
In other words it was a change I liked.
"Oh loads of new posts! Maybe it's NEW INFO or people are posting their plans for traps and showing off their bases?"
"Oh no wait, it's just an idiot."

Which user? Do you mean multiple users maybe?
The ones who started me attacking me because I express a peaceful opinion?
Or maybe the one you can see strangle enough in your mirror you have somewhere in your big house?

Now you're just incoherently rambling because you don't have any argument.

How is anyone attacking you? Attempts at explaining to you why your ideas are terrible and make no sense (which you then go on to ignore anyway) is not the same as attacking you for a "peaceful opinion". No one has said you aren't allowed to personally want an art style change. That doesn't change that wanting an art style change is a bad idea that would have a negative effect on the game/series.
Now you're just incoherently rambling because you don't have any argument.
I said my argument.
I don't like the look of the first game.
Simple.
AND WITH THAT SAID
WHO WAS BEST EVIL GENIUS
I've always been partial to the lady, she has the best minion.
Also I liked the hotel but there was nowhere to put the fucking thing

Eli Barracuda is easily the best minion, but I always liked Shen Yu the most (as an evil genius). Too bad I think Lord Kane is the most boring starter henchman, and he starts with Shen.

I unironically like Shen Yu, that astonishingly insensitive Yellow Peril motherfucker. Lord Kane was boring, but I liked his abilities and his backstory was damn interesting. Plus, Shen Yu had the best evil laugh.

Nearly everytime I've played I've gone for Max. There's just something about him being like a stereotypical bond villain that i like more than the other two.
As for Henchmen, Colonel Blackheart was always my favourite, both in terms of look/personality and how he plays.
I hope they nail the gameplay this time.

this is why i use the unofficial patch and also edit my pop cap to be 500 so i need less lockers
this is why i use the unofficial patch and also edit my pop cap to be 500 so i need less lockers
i mean i want to play the game as close to the original as possible and imo the unofficial patch was more of a totally different game so i avoided it.
i have nothing against pop cap management but the way evil genius did it was retarded.

thats why it's stupid, he's in the promo art but he's unusable. But as someone else said, in the unofficial patch they gave him machine guns which fixes it i guess.
I loved Shen Yu, but the samurai dude was my favorite Henchman.
I also occasionally picked Alexis, because of her huge influence radius.
Is there anywhere I can listen to all the radio news broadcasts?
Much like Beyond Good and Evil 2, I'll get excited when I see snippits of gameplay
