Honestly I'm not a big fan of the zelda 3ds. The Link Between Worlds and MM one are way better to me, and something about that one just feels more generic personally.
I kinda wish they'd stop releasing Zelda 3DS's though, there's way too many of em.

New Ace Attorney title coming soon. Will be playable at this year's Tokyo Game Show.
ok so they're skipping dai gyakuten saiban, fuck you capcom
and "enables quicker gameplay" what does this even mean and why do I have a really bad feeling about this

I think its WAY too early to be assuming that they're skipping Dai Gyakuten Saiban. While I do think that it is strange for Capcom to be already confirming a western release for Ace Attorney 6, keep in mind that:
1) Professor Layton vs. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney's english localization was only officially announced almost 9 months after the game was released in Japan, and it's only been close to 2 months since Dai Gyakuten Saiban was released.
2) Because the game takes place during the Meiji Period in Japan (from September 8, 1868 through July 30, 1912), it would most likely be a bitch to both translate and localize the entire game. Mainly because of how for the english localization, they decided to change the location of the series from Japan to the US, and just by looking at Dai Gyakuten Saiban itself, makes it very clear that doing something like that here will pretty much be impossible (only way I could think of how they could get around that is to explain that even though Phoenix lives in the US, his ancestors were originally from Japan).
Best case scenario: The game will get an english release, its just that like Professor Layton vs. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney, it won't be officially announced until sometime later.
Worst case scenario: The game will end up like Investigations 2, becoming one of the very few Ace Attorney games not to get an english localization.
Can anyone help me contact tech support? Nintendo's website is awful at it.
When the wireless is on, my 3DS crashes immediately. But there's nothing about it on the tech website, and the website requires me to try finding a solution.

Legitimately impressed by the build quality. Faux carbon was a great choice for the external paneling, and the stylus feels a lot less brittle. Trying to get the back off to access the MicroSD was kind of stressful with how much force it needed and how much that back plate creaked while trying to pry it off, but other than that (and hopefully I'll never need to deal with that again) I'm really pleased with it physically.
The stable 3D is great too but the distance needed is still a little demanding; I'm a tall guy with long arms so bending them inward to hold it close enough can get uncomfortable. That said, when it's in range it's fantastic at keeping track of you even in pitch black darkness. Haven't turned the 3D off yet, and it's making a lot of games like Smash look leagues crisper.
There are a few other little issues like the C-stick being tough to get used to, but all in all, really satisfied.

I tried out the N3DS recently and found out that the secondary stick doesn't move at all, it's super weird. I'll probably stick to my old 3DS but it bothers me that I have to buy yet another peripherial in order to use amiibos.
It does move, it just doesn't slide around like the circle pad. Instead it tilts very slightly, so rather than trying to move your thumb in a given direction, you should press down on the direction you want.
It's like a tiny Dpad with a rubber pellet over it, think of it that way.

It really just detects the force you're applying to it.
Did nobody ever use the ThinkPad nipple or what? It's really similar to the C Stick
I've started having trouble with the L and R bumpers on my 3DS, is this a known/common issue with simple fixes? I'm pretty sure it's come from playing so much Monster Hunter, which relies heavily on both bumpers. Hell, even my X and A can have responsivity issues from time to time.
Other than the graphical downgrade, additional characters, and changing between characters, are there going to be any major changes to the 3ds version of Hyrule Warriors?

That pic reminds me... when will we europeans, the usual outcasts when it comes to Nintendo stuff, receive Isaac Rebirth for the 3DS?
When your censorship laws get less vague and wildly inconsistent
[sp]In all seriousness, I hope it's soon. Aside from performance problems in spots it's a great port[/sp]
I wish BoI Rebirth was available for regular 3DS.
I'd even settle for the original.

Rebirth is pretty taxing on the n3DS actually.
As for the original, it's made in Flash, which doesn't perform well on anything really. It would run even worse.

An incredible shame. How the fuck can a fame like that be so unoptimised.
I wonder, do you guys think a game like Super Mario Maker would work on the 3DS?
I wonder, do you guys think a game like Super Mario Maker would work on the 3DS?
Nah, would be way too cramped.
Nah, would be way too cramped.
With zooming in/out it could work.
With zooming in/out it could work.
Just like the Gameboy Color port of the original Super Mario Bros?
Then again. The 3DS screen is bigger then the Gameboy color screen.
Just like the Gameboy Color port of the original Super Mario Bros?
The 3DS top screen is bigger than a Gameboy Color. and has a higher resolution, enough to not needing to be zoomed in when playing.
The bottom screen is bigger too, but the editor would require zooming and/or UI reworking.
Thinking about using my 3DS again seeing as I haven't played any video games on any of my main consoles or PC lately. Can somebody give me one game that I must own that isn't LoZ or Pokemon?
I said it in a commercial thread for Super Mario Maker, but the 3DS XL / N3DSXL could've really benefitted from not just being a scaled up 3DS onto a larger screen, a higher res mode maybe.
But then that could result in XL exclusives which would be even more problematic.

New trailer, 32 unique dungeons holy shit.
Once again, I hope they do something with the concept of this game further in the series.
Unique tunics with unique abilities would be a great addition to the franchise and change from the Red/Blue/Magic Armor we see all the time.
Man I am so excited about that little new 3ds coming to the states.
I mean hey, this way I save some money from importing faceplates of the waifu, and I assume the Happy Home Designer game as well.
