Mr. Saturn and Mr. Belch has been also announced to be future costumes (at least in Japan). Interesting to see how far they're going with all this.
Which titles besides Xenoblade Chronicles are exclusive to the New 3DS?

Binding of Isaac: Rebirth only plays on New 3DS. Other than that I don't think there are many exclusives.
By the way, Baito's new SMM sprites got added as new badges in the Japanese Badge Center:

It all came full circle rather quickly. :v:
Oh shit, the badge arcade has nikki badges right now..
Gonna have to pick up an Eshop card after tonight's shift lol
Am I the only one who thinks that every Mario and Luigi game after the first one feels off? I don't know how to explain it but they just aren't as great as the original GBA version but I am not sure why.

Because Superstar Saga was based in the Beanbean Kingdom, with enemies and style drastically and purposely different from what yo'd expect from the Mustroom Kingdom. Every game other that had its enemies and style focused on the Mushroom Kingdom, only with callbacks to the more unique Beanbean Kingdom.

I just assume because the idea of Bros attacks were less fantastical in comparison to later games, and that the initial hook was the familiarity yet exoticness of the Bean Bean Kingdom. later games had shifting amounts of questionable gameplay choices, like Peach's castle being a hub in Partners in time with 4 characters to control, to Bowser's Inside Story moving from time travel to Fantastic Voyage. the thing i mean with the Bros attacks was that Mario/Luigi had reasonable advancements in story, at first they just jumped then later got mallets, eventually they learnt some surface move that added Bros attacks THEN they got fire/electric hands. but with later games they always had to use some sort of gimmicky gadgets with movement or stuff like targetting/balancing.
think DTB might have gone a bit too overboard with the features, dream worlds hemselves felt like random excuses with only Antasma/Bowser/Peach being the only things keeping the premise alive. the overworld is far too large, seriously that part before finding Big Massif was just so annoying, to the extent that i put the game down and forgot what i was even doing. really, i could've seen Dream Team Bros be better if the Dream World was actually something of a dark world of the real world rather than just being 2D platforming segments, passageways probably winds up unlocked by emotional state of random characters or overworld completion like beating bosses.
I had to keep quiet about it until today in case she found out, but now I can finally show off the project I've been working on for my fiancée's Christmas present this year.

that's some incredible dedication right here
Can I be your girlfriend
no homo
Holy shit Shugo
Dude that's fucking bomb, nice job.
Thanks. I'm just glad I don't have to keep it secret anymore. I've had it ready for weeks, but I've only been able to show it to close friends.
She absolutely loved it, by the way. :D
Picked up €25 for the eShop, are Steamworld Heist and Boxboy good uses of it?
Boxboy is super mediocre in my opinion. I really like a lot of the puzzles in it but it only has a single song for the entire game and it doesn't do anything with the black and white only thing making it insanely dull on the eyes. It's a game that's fucked up by it's extremely poor presentation and it can be really frustrating at times.
So that Mario vs Sonic at the Olymphic Games uh, game actually looks REALLY good if you're into sports stuff. There's 14 events, including real no-sillyness versions as well as versions that add goofy video game shit to the mix. Events are -
-Golf
-Soccer
-Javelin
-Ribbon
-100 m dash
-Hurdles
-Longjump
-Boxing
-Archery
-BMX
-Table Tennis
-100m Swimming
-HORSE
-Beach Vollyball
It also features a RPG mode getting titled "Champion's Road" that lets you join a story as your mii where you have to pick a gym (Mario vs Sonic) and complete events while boosting your stats and buying gear as you try to take down the other sides Gym. The two sides have their own stories and there's over 270+ gear options. It's getting compared to the old Camalot Gameboy games so that's pretty exciting!
Amiibo support is just Mario and Sonic, tapping lets you pretty much free clear one even a day in comical fashion, and after finishing the game you can get a Mario and Sonic costume for your mii you can level up via amiibo
Here's a trailer:

That actually looks good. I really only enjoyed the very first Mario & Sonic Olympic Game on the DS.
That's a lot of new playable characters. And they brought back Dry Bones, who hasn't been playable in a Mario game since Super Sluggers.
Japan got the American versions of the Sega themes, including the yet unreleased Dreamcast one:

I wish they would make a Mario and Sonic game outside the Olympic Games line.

Oh my. That PSO online menu theme. I must have this.
Well hot damn.
Menuhax and Browserhax got upgraded to support the latest firmware and Smealum/Plutoo/Derrek's 32C3 keynote showed off a bunch of new 3DS exploits that work all the way up to the latest 10.x firmwares, the most interesting of all being Memchunkhax2, which is being worked on by none other than Steveice10 as of today.
Shit's about to get wild. :excited:
I would reccommend getting Menuhax or/and Ironhax set up as soon as possible to whomever might be interested, before Nintendo pushes another update to fuck Browserhax over. This could potentially allow for system downgrades, and subsequently, custom firmware, so it's kind of a big deal.
So people who hacked their 3ds, what are you even using it for?
The only reason I could see use in it is for the option to play out of region games.
Emulation was a no go for me beacuse pretty much every game I wanted to play had some kind of issue with it. And the homebrew games available are (to me) uninteresting.
i just use it for custom themes and emulation, there are some games that dont work sadly (like earthbound) but there are a ton of other games that work just fine for me (like metroid, f-zero, twin bee, etc.)
I see no reason to homebrew my 3DS since I still want to use the online features without getting banned. If I owned a second 3DS then maybe I would use that one for modding some neat stuff.
besides not being able to use e-shop if the 3DS gets an update that isnt support by *hax yet, ive played plenty of monster hunter for months with ironhax installed and nothing has happened to me :v:
I just got into 3DS homebrewing with this "Browserhax", though I did it only to be able to play Metroid Fusion (and other games that are not on the 3DS virtual console for stupid reasons) on my 3DS.
Emulation has lost all appeal to me so I just don't give a shit about it personally. Literally everything past the gamecube has a SNES emulator at this point and I've played all the SNES games I care about to death so whenever I hear "you can play... SNES GAMES!!!" I just can't be assed to pay attention.
I'm kinda interested in getting homebrew to work just so I can play stuff like the new (Japanese exclusive) Rhythm Heaven

By the time 3DS homebrew hit I already had this

It's got emulators up to PS1 so I can't be bothered to care about modding my 3DS just so I can play Super Mario World or Earthbound on it.
Just got Xenoblade, and I already knew the graphics were awful, but I didnt know they were going to THIS awful.
And everyone is British!! And they wont stop screaming!

Homebrew/emulation-dedicated consoles are so underrated and a great option that's even better than console modding in some cases. Shame that they're rarer and rarer nowadays because android phones are a thing
