Honestly the thing that pisses me off the most is that if I want to have both games on 1 cartridge I have to pay $200 from some shitty scalper on Ebay
Agreed. This is what I'm talking about with how they're handling the game
When was I whining? You fail to realize that it's an issue of censorship, not because it's head patting.
It's not censorship, it's localization. There's a pretty big difference lol.
Oh wait are they both on 1 cart in the SE? I thought it was just both carts handed to you in one box or something.
Yeah, GameXplain did an unboxing video of the SE and it's all on 1 cart, including the Third DLC Route.
Also can we not do the physical dlc meme thing, this isn't /v/
Unsure if you're trolling at this point because calling something a "meme" is exactly what you see on /v/ when someone doesn't like a thing that people commonly talk about. Like calling things meme games, or calling praise/hate a meme etc

Like calling things meme games, or calling praise/hate a meme etc
Do you know what the word meme means. This is a actual serious question. "Physical DLC" is something spouted ad-naseum at /v/. This is literally like saying "rick rolling someone isn't a meme anymore".

Like calling things meme games, or calling praise/hate a meme etc
It means they don't have anything practical to contribute to the conversation anymore, and just want to try and belittle the whole situation as much as they can, same was that the conversation immediately turns to saying what's removed from the game or locked behind stupid choices doesn't matter. It's actually literally the equivalent of kids on a schoolground going nananananacan'thearyou
RIGHT SO ANYWAY I'm picking up Paper Jam When Fates comes out to. What is thread's opinion on it?
RIGHT SO ANYWAY I'm picking up Paper Jam When Fates comes out to. What is thread's opinion on it?
I've heard good things about Paper Jam, been told it's one of the better ones, can't vouch for it myself though
RIGHT SO ANYWAY I'm picking up Paper Jam When Fates comes out to. What is thread's opinion on it?
Paper Jam is a really good game that's hampered by enemy variety and the fact that it drip feeds you bros/trio attacks at a absolutely glacier like pace. Like the combat has never been better and paper mario is a blast but every area only has one enemy and that one enemies paper version 90% of the time so it can get kinda grating. Writing in it is absolutely excellent though. All the koopalings get their own time to shine in it and the Bowser Jr's and Toadette come out better than ever.
Do you know what the word meme means. This is a actual serious question. "Physical DLC" is something spouted ad-naseum at /v/.
spoiler: no one liberally uses the word meme like that outside of /v/.
I said it literally one time. That's not liberally.
I said it literally one time. That's not liberally.

Also can we not do the physical dlc meme thing, this isn't /v/

That phrase is -literally- a meme.
C'mon, just stop. It's clear we disagree on things, I'm not here to argue, let's just talk about other video games right? What makes the combat so good in Paper Jam? I haven't heard much either way about it myself, and I'm curious
C'mon, just stop. It's clear we disagree on things, I'm not here to argue, let's just talk about other video games right? What makes the combat so good in Paper Jam? I haven't heard much either way about it myself, and I'm curious
Meant it as in, I'm saying one thing is a meme. It's not me calling several things a meme or whatever. As for Paper Jam it's numerous things -Paper Mario's mechanic's as a whole are different enough that he feels like a fresh addition, he has a super jump for counters that let's him flutter and he takes a ton of shapes on the various "chase" sequences bosses try to pull out (boomerang/airplane etc). He really adds a lot. -Enemy patterns are a little more complex/sudden making them a lot more challenging, to compensate for this you can turn on a mode that takes guess work out of things but without it the game is legit difficult. -Battle cards are a lot more fun then you'd expect. Some of them are too useful like "make the final boss drop 5 levels each time you use it" but that aside it's fun to think around them. One boss fight I can think of is amazing because of them [sp]Ludwig and Larry[/sp] -All of the bros items are fun to use for the most part, as mentioned before though they are drip fed to you and all 3 bros only get 5 (I think?) each. Only downside is you'll be seeing them a LOT. Also no fucking tutorials outside of completely new game mechanics. Like ones that haven't been in the series yet (like Paper Mario) Honestly my only complaint with fighting is Paper Mario can be a little too useful. His copies constantly tank hits so he's never in danger of dying and his copies alone make timing on counters super easy (all of them swing their hammers in a wave making knocking stuff back easy). I've literally never had him KO'd no matter how bad I messed up and late in the game as a rank up bonus you can make it so he gets his copies back without wasting a turn completely shattering the balance around him.
About Hyrule Warriors Legends, I read that you are able to redeem a download code that comes with the game which you can use on the Wii U version so you can use the new content on there. If i'm able to find the source i'll edit it here (someone said something about it coming to the wii u as dlc) I played HWL on the n3ds and it runs smooth as silk (or i can't notice frame drops), it's hella fun on a handheld but I wish there was multiplayer, it would be perfect considering it's on the 3ds. The graphics are ~meh~ but that's granted that there is a insane amount of models on screen and they did some amazing tricks in order to get this to run. Multiple times I would turn around and enemies will literally disappear (so the minimap is completely useless for keeping track of crowds) but other than that I haven't noticed any other problems. Sadly O3DS performance is absolute trash, such a shame because a lot of people won't get to play this port properly. Why the hell is it getting released so late to NA anyway? It's coming like in March, 1-2 months later. Maybe i'm too used to pokemon international release dates, but whatever.
Yeah HWL has a download code slip in the box that just unlocks the new guys in the wii-u version and nothing else. As for why it's releasing later, you see it's because
Wow, the koopaling fights in Paper Jam are quite challenging. Got to [sp]Roy and Wendy[/sp] and got my ass handed.
Wow, the koopaling fights in Paper Jam are quite challenging. It's worth reloading a save just to see what happens if you nail it with both of em alive.[/sp]
So if I read all of that right, HWLegends on N3DS runs similarly to the Wii U (despite the massive visual downgrade) and Fates has its music alongside no performance issues whatsoever? Talk about sweet relief. No more worries then.
treating their fans like shit but people still eat it up
Nintendo and Valve are like the video game versions of Apple. They're just starting to put shit out no matter how good it is and make it so you have to pay more and more. And it works, because people rabidly defend them. I mean I love both companies, but this behavior is inexcusable.
Valve has to put out stuff in order to fit your analogy. They've haven't in years.
So what's stopping new from entering the code and then returning the game?
Morals? Nothing really.
Morals? Nothing really.
I'd really agree with morals I love supporting Nintendo but unfortunately I only have an old 3ds xl and the frame rate difference is mighty hampering.
I'd really agree with morals I love supporting Nintendo but unfortunately I only have an old 3ds xl and the frame rate difference is mighty hampering.
Yeah I'm not going to judge people if that ends up happening, just kinda feels wrong imagining a ton of dudes just buying and reselling it screwing over the people who actually wanted the game out of the bonus. Probably overthinking it but eh
Yeah I'm not going to judge people if that ends up happening, just kinda feels wrong imagining a ton of dudes just buying and reselling it screwing over the people who actually wanted the game out of the bonus.
So what's stopping new from entering the code and then returning the game?
Depends on the store. Gamestop for example doesn't do returns on new games if they've already been opened.
To me its just a $40 DLC pack unless they release the characters separately later on.
