The uh, swimsuits you could equip didnt show up in battle at all, its not even an option. They actually only show up in the bath house cutscenes. All the units wear their classes's outfit in combat. So I'd call that cut content.
Wait, then why does it talk about invading others with it or increasing stats? Does it literally do nothing or what?
Wait, then why does it talk about invading others with it or increasing stats? Does it literally do nothing or what?
The Accessories in general give you small stat boosts your character in the Mycastle features only. Basically the online mode of the game, you can visit other people's customized castles, battle them in either your castle defensively, or in their castle offensively, its pretty fun. Especially because the reward for doing it is letting you copy one of their class skills onto one of your characters for some gold. But all the accessories give a small boost in this mode, as well as the swimsuits. But the swimsuits do not actually replace the character's battle armor, I'm guessing they're just wearing it underneath. The other accessories for a characters head, face or shoulder/back/ect do actually show up in combat, but on top of their armor. Here's my aqua wearing Ike's Shoulder plate, a Crown and Glasses: Thats how she'd appear in a battle, but the bonus stats are only fuctional in online mode.
Wait so you don't even see the swimsuits in the Japanese version outside that menu :v:? Or am I horribly misreading that because if so that seems really silly. Still though, thanks for explaining that. I literally want to go into the game as blind as possible so only thing I really knew about was the premise of the story and all the controversy swirling around it.

Providing you shut off the sound completely and make up your own.

Great to see that OoT will get manufactured again. I remember getting the last copy in the store.
They're seriously reprinting Super Mario All-Stars for $29.99? It was sort of acceptable last time because you got some cool extras like a nice box, CD, and art book. But it's literally an SNES ROM on a DVD, and it's not even the good version that has SMW. That shit should be on VC for no more than $15.
nintendo has a survey going on, can request more delicious memes on social media https://twitter.com/NintendoAmerica/status/697480150439632896
The memes are finally here
All those Wii games could have just been ported over to the Wii U virtual console.
All those Wii games could have just been ported over to the Wii U virtual console.
That would make too much sense for Nintendo to do.
Waaaaaaaaah.
Wait why the fuck is Yoshi's New Island considered a select
despite the general reception to the game ranging radically from no one giving a damn to being quite harsh, and most people basically saying "if you don't mind the creative bankruptcy of the whole thing and the fact that it shits on the original game's ending it's okay i guess", Nintendo still really wants to push it I guess Maybe they should stop outsourcing the Yoshi games that aren't Wooly World to the same lazy developers
That would make too much sense for Nintendo to do.
If the Super Mario All-Stars reprint doesn't include the bonus content that actually made the purchase worthwhile, they'd literally be reprinting a disc with a SMAS ROM on it instead of having it on the VC.

For the US, I've heard it should be closer to around $20, if not, exact.
If the Super Mario All-Stars reprint doesn't include the bonus content that actually made the purchase worthwhile, they'd literally be reprinting a disc with a SMAS ROM on it instead of having it on the VC.
It'd be instantly much better if it had at least SMW and SM64 on there too. It baffles me that they aren't. As it stands, you're paying $10 more than just buying the NES originals on VC. Not to mention that the Wii SMAS has horrible input lag for some bizarre reason. (Not an issue in other Wii VC games.)
Actually, it should be noted that the listing is in Canadian dollars. For the US, I've heard it should be closer to around $20, if not, exact.
Are you saying I can get a physical copy of ocarina of time 3d for $20?
Reasonable pricing on old games at Nintendo? This can't be.
Actually, it should be noted that the listing is in Canadian dollars. For the US, I've heard it should be closer to around $20, if not, exact.
That makes a lot more sense. I was pretty sure the previous Selects line was only $20 each. SMAS still isn't worth it, though. Not unless they fixed that input lag.
Are you saying I can get a physical copy of ocarina of time 3d for $20?
The first Nintendo selects were $20 so yes.
So N3DS XL + Super Mario 2 is €160. Much cheaper than I was expecting, but is it worth it or is it expected they'll announce a new handheld soon? I only own a DS that I don't play on anymore EDIT: Oh crap, guess I'd need the New Nintendo 3DS?
I doubt we'll see a new handheld this year. And even if we did, no sense getting the new one as soon as it comes out. Launches for these things are always pretty slow, and I'd think you would get a better use out of the 3DS' current library. Getting a New Nintendo 3DS is optional imo. The only games that really need it are Xenoblade 3D and Hyrule Warriors (HW works on the Original 3DS but the FPS is really shit on the Original 3DS)
So I'd be better off with the normal one (and eventually the extra joystick-thing). Isn't performance an issue on the old 3DS?
The only real differences on the N3DS and 3DS are its processor and and the N3DS has one of those mid 2000 laptop mouse nipples that act like a second joystick. The N3DS uses microSD while the o3ds uses regular SD. And lastly, the n3DS has a better head tracking feature for the "3D". In terms of performance, most games are optimized for the o3ds. Its not really worth the upgrade, but the extra features do work better.
It depends on the games. Most games that had poor performance (Metal Gear Solid 3D: Snake Eater for example) do not benefit from the New 3DS' more powerful hardware because they aren't coded to take advantage of it. A good example is using the homebrew app HANS to run Star Fox 64 3D or OoT 3D to use the New 3DS' higher clock rate, where the game starts to glitch out and the audio gets garbled
I wish they would release virtual DS, SNES, and GBA games for the 3ds eshop. I want Super mario advance 4, Earthbound, and squeak squad downloaded on my 3DS, not NES open golf... [editline]15th February 2016[/editline] Genesis too. The game gear is cool, but I'd rather have the genesis version of Mean Bean Machine.
So what's their excuse for not releasing VC games on the 3DS again?
