Has anybody tried Bravely Second? FIre Emblem Fates has yet to receive a release date here in Australia and I want something to play on the train.
"Not as good as the first but still entertaining" is the general opinion it from what I've seen. Music is pretty eh too sadly.

Going to try and play some this weekend. You played the first one right?
Just got Bravely Second now.
Bravely Default is an amazing game, and is my favorite 3ds game.
Until chapter 5. I dont know how you can drop a ball as hard as Bravely Default does.
At least after you swallow the bullshit the ending gets awesome again.
I just realized that Boo Camp is a pun and I'm very upset by this discovery.
how come
Add a T at the end of Boo.
i'll give you all the boot
also since none of you were particularly helpful, i found out how the AI act on that map elsewhere: green faceless attack, yellow faceless flee.
kill all the greenies if you dont wanna worry about getting your teeth knocked in while you try to pick off the yellow ones
Sorry :'c
I'm on Chapter 24 Conquest
I literally cannot imagine the patience of anyone to beat these maps on Lunatic, this shits fucking absurdly hard and I'm starting to buckle.
So I've finally got myself a 3DS, with a copy of Animal Crossing and Smash Brothers. I haven't owned a handheld since the original DS, so I'm a bit out of the loop. What are some other games that are must have for the 3DS. I already plan on getting Monster Hunter and the Majora's Mask remake, but I don't know what else is good.
pac man and the ghostly adventures
Kirby triple deluxe, Luigi's mansion 2, Kid icarus uprising, Zelda a link between worlds, The mario and luigi games, Mario 3d land, Mario kart 7.

Can we talk a moment about LM2? It was a fun little game but doesn't quite have the same charm as the first one? I'm not sure what is lacking, i guess since In the first game you stick to one mansion the mansion itself feels like its own character, something you get to know as you explore it. While the "mansions" in the second game come and go so fast it's just like "well this one isn't so great, i hope the next one is better"
Also using a mission structure was a balls decision.

I'll second Kid Icarus Uprising, it's surprisingly great. Mario Kart 7's a great time as well. I assume you already know, but if you're getting Monster Hunter, go for 4U, since it's the one with online play.
Pokemon is always a good choice. Ace Attorney maybe, although Dual Destinies is E-Shop exclusive. Also, an FE game.

Yeah the only thing I didn't like was the mission structure. Other than that I really enjoyed the game even if it's not as good as the first one.
Bravely Default
Oh man, there are a lot of great games for this system. I've had the thing for less than a week and I can already tell it was a MUCH better investment than my PS4. Which has been sitting around collecting dust ever since I finished Bloodborne.
...Does anyone want to buy a (slightly) used ps4? :v:
Holy shit theres a fucking cookie clicker in Bravely Second, this game has it all
and Super Smash Bros
He said he already got animal crossing and smash bros!
I know the Rubber Bow is supposed to be a joke weapon but I took every one I had to the smithy then gave the finished product to Mozu and now nobody can touch her while she dishes out ass whoopings.
I beat Conquest. The final chapter was giving me hecka struggles, especially since you can't save in between that and the chapter before it.
So I spent the remainder of my money on a SHITTON of temporary stat boosting items, gave them to everyone, and watched the enemies drop like flies. I didn't even need to use that one-time revival staff given that everyone was roid-raging.
I moved onto Birthright. Flew through the initial chapters easily, even on Hard Mode.

I did that with Pebbles that Frederick gave me in the DLC. A +7 Pebble is nothing to laugh at.
how do you even reforge a pebble

Very carefully
Honestly you shoulda done Birthright first if you planned on doing both of them. Birthright is pretty meh like Awakening was with a lot of wide open maps and enemies that don't have skills.
That and Ryoma can pretty much solo the game, crazy lobster man needs to settle the fuck down.
Almost done with Birthright, I also pre-emtively started Conquest. Just went out of my way to make sure that [sp]Arthur doesn't die in chapter 23 Hoshido after talking to him.[/sp] [sp]After all, he IS objectively the best character across all three games.[/sp]
Edit: On a side note, the Good Smile Company is apparently doing a Nendoroid for Elise, if anyone else happens to be a collector of weeb shit.

God dammit I paid off my current debt for my house yesterday but forgot to talk to Tom Nook after I did so I have to wait another day before it's upgraded.

The link counts as spoilers but it's way more funny then it is actually spoiling anything.

I get that the plots for Fire Emblem have never usually been subtle about villains, but goddamn, it's ridiculously high cheese that makes it hard to even take seriously
