So, should I use my Club Nintendo codes now, or wait until the new service is announced..if it's announced, that is.
Use them now as they said there's going to be a bunch of rewards in February, including exclusives.
All your coins will be gone when the new service is out.
I'm sad about Club Nintendo leaving, but I'm looking forward to the new items coming February and the new rewards system too. I did feel as though Club Nintendo could be a bit underwhelming at times.
I have one MH4U US demo code left:
A071B45X07HQRDGU
i have 955 coins in club nintendo save them for febs games
i have plat this year too
Some people say that it's a reference to the NES Gold Cartridge. Tho why the MM N3DS is gold still confuses me.
But since Wind Waker, they have been putting looks of gold (or piss filter like some say) on the covers. At least WWHD isn't the case and hopefully Zelda U isn't.
Also, Majora's cover art is the same all around the world. That beautiful massive rendition with the white moon.
MM's N64 cartridge was gold.
MM's N64 cartridge was gold.
so was OOT's
most of the zelda carts were gold at some point tbh
then you have the oddball "oracle of *" GBC carts being clear instead of gold
i always wondered why certain nintendo carts had different color variations but never bothered enough to find out

Site is down for maintenance now
I'm broke but I need 300 coins to Platinum, fuck
Anyone want to give out some codes? :v:
I hope the N3DS is worth a lot of coins. I need 280 coins until I hit platinum.

Sorry to tell you this, but the New 3DS doesn't come with a Club Nintendo Code. Nor does Majora's Mask or anything released after 1/20/2015.

Gay.
Guess I'm never gonna get Platinum now.
I really like how they actually improved aiming in MM 3DS with mimicking the same animation from Wind Waker and Twilight, where the arrow is actually centered.
Also, looking at Aonuma having so much fun is actually heartwarming. He must have quite a fun job working in the Zelda Dev Team.

So is there just nowhere to get the MM edition N3DS? That's so disappointing, I really don't want just a plain color one :(
Blame scalpers for the most part. Other than that, pray that some store has it in-store when it comes out.

one of the main features of a N3DS is the swappable cover plates
the only difference between a MMN3DS and a "plain color 3DS" is that the hinge is gray instead of black/white, and comes pre-installed with cover plates you can't get elsewhere.
just buy a cover plate of your choosing if you don't want a plain color cover plate and swap it out??

Cover plates are only for N3DS. U.S. is only getting N3DSXL.
Just bought Shinobi III 3D. The elevator section in round 2 looks cool as hell in 3D! M2 really puts a lot of effort into these 3D releases.
I didn't knew that the club nintendo thing was also affecting europe too...god, i got lots of codes that i left stacking up just because of the damn surveys they force on you..

I apologize for taking this code from someone else who may have enjoyed this at least a little bit.
[sp]Why does everyone like MH its kinda boring[/sp]
Why does everyone like MH its kinda boring
As absolutely insane as I am for Monster Hunter, I admit it's one of those love it or hate it type things. And I don't know your tastes, so I'm not sure what parts of Monster Hunter you thought was boring. BUT I will say what I personally love about Monster Hunter (...3 Ultimate I mean. Sorry still fairly new to the series)
Going from a big monster hunt to skipping through the meadow grabbing more herbs and mushrooms for potions does seem like kinda of a lurch, and seems like something that would be incredibly boring. But I think it adds a lot to the experience. You're getting more stuff you'll need later through gameplay, rather than grinding for money and buying it en masse from the item shop. I also find it very relaxing, either winding down from a difficult hunt in solo, or doing a gathering mission online with my brother, talking about stupid shit while fighting off asshole Jaggi that won't let us gather things in peace.
The whole game has this joyful and almost whimsical energy to it. Unlike other games with a huge overarching story saying why the monsters are bad or contriving story elements saying you're the chosen one or whatever, you're just some fop fresh off a boat to hunt monsters. It's your job, plain and simple, and I feel your character's animations helps drive that point home. From calmly rotating your BBQ spit to literally jumping into bed to save, you don't get the feeling that you are being rushed to fight some big nebulous evil. It's just how you make a living.
ANd of course it wouldn't be Monster Hunter if I didn't talk about the MONSTERS. God damn, it scratches the same itches Dark Souls did for me. You fight a big monster that's much stronger than you, and you have to have a plan to your attack, rather than spamming the attack button and hoping for the best. And as you learn how to fight these monsters you start to learn their tells, and what kind of attacks they'll employ. You get better over time by getting good at the game, rather than gaining experience and being told you are good enough to fight bigger monsters. I recently made a brand new character in MH3U, and when I got to a mission that surprises you with a Lagiacris I used my knowledge fighting it as my more experienced character and fought way better than when I did that mission before, managing to cut off it's tail and nabbing some Lagiacris scales before I had to run away for the sake of not failing the Quest.
Speaking of "similar to Dark Souls", one of the biggest draws for me is how in-depth the character customization is. This is one of those games where you can't sell ANYTHING: Almost every item has some use, even if it comes much later in the game. You can take simple plants and objects you find and turn them into traps, gathering items, healing items, and such. And hides and scales from monster hunts can be crafted into an INSANE number of armors and weapons you can make. I didn't mind having to fight a monster multiple times because I want to work to get it's armor set, or build the Nibblesnarf's Heavy Bowgun cos it looks like a grenade launcher. With different armor sets, weapons, and skills you can use, there's a lot you can do to make your hunter just the way you like it. You can wear a full armor set of the same armor pieces to gain skills that you want to use, or you can wear no clothes at all except a Great Jaggi Head cos you think it's funny. As long as you can make it work, anything goes in Monster Hunter.
Sorry if this got kind of overlong and rambly, but god damn I regret not playing a Monster Hunter game before MH3U. I understand if you find parts of it boring, or were put off by the incredibly boring tutorials at the start of the game. But I feel it's an amazing game, and everyone should at least give it a fair shot.
