Indeed. You know what would be cool. Hero Mode: Mirrored with X4 damage taken and you have exactly 72 in-game hours in game to beat the 4 temples in one shot. No Song of Time to save your skin, you can slow down time though.
Um... Aren't there things you NEED the Song of Time for?
Like, more than half of the sidequests? I think there are parts of the story that need a reset to continue as well, unless you glitch past them.

The Sun Mask (aka Anju and Kafei) quest and the Romani Ranch quest both require a three-day cycle to fully complete, yes. And the Sun Mask quest needs to be completed twice for two separate rewards at that. But he mentioned the temples only, not the sidequests. And even then I doubt it's possible considering some of the shit you need to do to get in to the temples and the temples themselves, like Great Bay as an example.

Now, does anyone know the size of the micro SD that comes with the N3DS?
4 gigs i believe
My biggest draw is how much faster the system is
Eh i wouldn't mind a faster system but i cant justify rebuying a console for like $200 bucks just for that
How about the fact you can comfortably use its titular feature more than 0% of the time?
I'd argue that's a pretty monumental improvement.
i dont care about the 3d anyway. it's a uninteresting gimmick on the 3ds, and a uninteresting gimmick that works better on the n3ds

Just beating all the dungeons is possible on a single cycle, it's approaching speedrunning but it's possible. I'm not sure about getting all the masks but as you say, 100% is impossible just on one cycle.
A hero mode with increased difficulty is good, but if you want to run it in a single cycle I think that's a restriction you can place on yourself rather than needing a gamemode for it.

The 3D was actually more than just a gimmick in some games.
Going from SM3DL to SM3DW, I kept over or undershooting stuff because I couldn't tell if I was actually above it. I played through SM3DL the whole way in 3D, never had that problem once.

very true, but that's one 3ds game. (3dland was the only game i played in 3d for the majority of the game)
and i don't really feel like replaying it any time soon, much less buying a new system to play it slightly nicerish
Since this is a new thread [sp]is that a pun in the title?[/sp], here's a promotional image that may be fake, but it doesn't look so.

it doesn't have the SNES-styled buttons, that's sad.
You have the new 3DS? I heard that the c-stick is kinda stiff.
It's already out in Australia.
It is quite stiff, wouldn't be good to use as a second joystick, but it works quite well in Smash Bros.
I've only had Smash Bros for a few days now and I haven't really played any other Smash games, but when I hit the c-stick in different directions I seem to be able to charge attacks or something.
It's kind of like a nubbin on an old laptop.
It's a bit difficult to use since it's so small, but it's definitely better than not having any second stick at all.
The buttons are more responsive, the screens are bigger (Atleast on the non-xl version, which I have), the device is lighter and the battery life seems to last a bit longer.
I like the plates because they're metallic and a lot harder to get dirty.
Overall, apart from the exclusive games (which aren't out yet), I wouldn't consider upgrading unless you bought an XL and want to get something that will fit into your pocket easier.

It does, its just only the legends are colored on the XL

Does anyone here have the black n3ds xl? What is the gloss like? Is it scratch and fingerprint resistant or cheap glossy plastic like the Wii u?
dream announcement for the direct: a new super mario strikers game. would be fine if it was for wii u but would prefer either 3ds only or 3ds + wii u like smash bros.

I don't have one, but from what I've heard and read on the internet, it's a fingerprint magnet.

I've only seen it once
YO STRAIGHT UP NEW FE FUCK YES
Would prefer a new Advance Wars, but I can't be disappointed with a new Fire Emblem.
They actually have feet now.
Espurr's dead eyes
not to be ignorant, but That dragon game is basically bejeweled with strats, And this pokemon game is pretty much the same
My 3DS should arrive in the mail tomorrow.
I'm gonna add Vibri, Micheal De Santas, Trevor Phillips, and Franklin Clinton to my Tomodachi Island.
I just realized how bad it is that I have such limited tastes in Nintendo games... like, having never played a FE game, I just am not interested in it, but I've also never played Metroid, Zelda, F-Zero... I'm just setting myself up to be disappointed
these games are all so similar, please stop
Pokemon going in game purchases on the puzzle game no thank you ever
