Odd, the Monster Hunter N3DSXL has gone up in price, from £209.99 to £224.99.
Luckily Game has a Pre-order Price Promise which means I'll still pay the original, lower price, but it's still VERY odd.
Anybody here who has a spare MH4U EU demo code that i could give to a friend of mine?
Just finished Kirby 3D
That has to be one of the most satisfying final boss battles I've ever done, what a great game
Game's pretty challenging, especially if you don't use cheap combos like Impure Reach Naoto.
Not really, panic still exists and nothing is immune to it as well. Not even the final boss.
I mean you can set up a bunch of shitty arbitrary rules to make it harder if you want but it's a easy game.
I didn't find it to be that easy. Panic never really seems to hit often enough for me to wanna use it.
Granted its not nearly as challenging as regular Etrian can be but it has a good degree of challenge I think. If you aren't terribly used to Etrian either it makes it harder.
To be fair though, difficulty is subjective
My 3ds is currently broken, will I have to get it fixed to transfer all my eshop stuff to another 3ds/n3ds? Or can I just use my network ID and be able to download it all again? I really don't feel like paying for repairs.

I had to do this last week: Give them a call, they'll ask a few questions to verify your ID and start the transfer process. You'll need the serial number of both systems though. Takes up to 5 business days, but I called Saturday night and was downloading my games on my new system by Sunday afternoon.
how is it broken?
The lights come on but the system doesn't. Second time this has happened, don't want to pay $80 again.

Kind of ridiculous you have to call them, it'd be easier to have some online service. Thanks though.
I tried using their online service, but it ended up just telling me to call anyways.
EDIT: That was for repairs tho, not transferring stuff.
Also is there ever going to be a new Advance Wars for the 3DS?
I feel like it's about damn time.
Probably not
They're working on Codename: Steam as well as Fire Emblem If so if there is going to be another one it won't be for like 4 years at least
I'm quite excited for Codename: Steam, reminds me a lot of Valkyria Chronicles.
I like the Americana theming of the characters. Characters from famous American literature of the time like The Cowardly Lion from Oz, Tiger Lily from Peter Pan and even Randolph Carter from Lovecraft's works, folklore figures like John Henry etc.
I just hate the art style honestly. Each time I hear about the game I'm like fuck yeah this is my jam... but then I see it and I just kinda wish it was anime-styled because everything just looks weird to me.
The concept is fine, the execution...could be better.
I give them credit for trying to go somewhere different with it, but I have to agree, it's just not that appealing. Doesn't mean I'm not excited for it though.
just give us what we want intelligent systems
give us a new advance wars
theyre probably just trying to appeal to the west again like aw4
My new 3ds arrived in the mail today. does anybody know if it's somehow possible to use the new c-stick in monster hunter 3? or is that just not possible to configure.

It functions just as the CPP did in games that used it, so yes you can use it with MH3U.
Unfortunately, 3U's camera controls are 100% certified retarded, so you don't have the smooth free-going controls of 4U's camera.

If the 3DS was more powerful it'd be fine. They're going for a silver-age comic book style, and it'd look great if they had the technology to execute that, but it's really rough. I don't really think an anime style would fit the theme at all, personally.

I think it would simply because it's a art style the company is used to. I understand it's silver-age that's easy to see but it just looks grody. I think the anime style would be fine because hell look at Valkyria Chronicles, it's the game this one is lifting from (and Xcom but still)

I just don't see anime complementing "Steampunk with American literary heroes" that well, and artstyle is an important aspect of theming.
You have clearly not seen enough anime.
Should have just made a new Advance Wars.
Would have sold hotcakes and nobody would complain. I admire them for trying something "new", but I think we all know XCOM on the go has been done plenty before in recent past.
Didn't the last two advance wars game bomb ultra hard to the point they didn't even bother releasing the last one in Japan till super recently?
I liked the games too but I wouldn't assume they'd sell like hotcakes given the games track record.

Well maybe they will be hotter cakes then Codename: Steam atleast.

Guess what got ruined
Eh its still there... I don't know if I would've changed it.
Worst change? Nah, not really.
For 200 rupees, you can get unlimited magic on the 1st night for 2 days and 2 nights. Or buy green potions.
It's still a decent speed and faster then regular swimming.
