I believe the developers have mentioned that it will be more difficult than Kirby's Epic Yarn, which could already be decently challenging in some spots.
So, the game loads different res textures depending on the console it's on. I wonder how many future games will do that.
That tidbit of information sparked a huge debate on another board about Xenoblade 3D, people saying it could do the same thing to be playable on the 3DS, but they chose not to so they could sell more n3DS systems. In reality... The textures are already ~1/2 scale from the Wii version on the n3DS. Reducing them further would look absolutely horrible. And that's not even beginning to talk on the issue of just how taxing battles would be on the old CPU, or how much the draw distance would need to be cut, or how the models would probably have to be scaled down a level of detail in open areas... It would be an ugly and choppy mess.

Seems like it didn't go any further than just concepts and prototypes, so not too much love lost. Still :
The unknown studio pitched its prototype to Nintendo, but the company did not want to proceed further. That’s because Nintendo wasn’t ready to move the franchise in the direction of a 2.5D side-scroller at the time (seemingly around 2012 or so). And that was the end of it!
If that's true, what the flying fuck Nintendo. Out of all the games you would want as 2.5D, why not Metroid? If it was a western developer, I imagine they may have gone to NOA about the project, and they would probably still be feeling the burn from Other M so they would want to play it safe.
http://nintendoeverything.com/rumor-details-emerge-about-cancelled-metroid-3ds-project/ Well, fuck.
this better not be fucking true or I will be really really pissed why the dumb's? i thought we all wanted a new good Metroid game?
So I played the MHU4 demo, and it looks like a fun game, although the movements feel bit clunky. And I noticed just how small the screen of my 3DS is. If the normal size n3DS doesn't release by the time Xenoblade Chronicles 3D releases, I think I'll get the n3DSXL. I had some trouble reading the text in the game.
Woah when did Nintendo put on there big boy pants
Want a first look at our New Nintendo #3DS XL commercials? Tune into @WalkingDead_AMC and @BetterCallSaul tonight!

http://nintendoeverything.com/rumor-details-emerge-about-cancelled-metroid-3ds-project/ Well, fuck.
This is the thing I knew about and was posting before when I was telling people to get excited. Shame if it was canned though, I thought it got resubmitted recently.
Yeah, it would look even worse than this. [t]http://i.imgur.com/7xWPvFE.png[/t]
All the media I see for the n3ds version make me want to puke.

Hmm what should i get with my club nintendo points I'm trying to get enough for maybe the jigsaw puzzle If choose to get any of the 3DS games listed Which one should i aim for?
as long as all my stuff is on my SD card, and I trade in my old 3DS XL for credit towards a new one, will I still be able to keep all my shit? Also, can you trade it in for credit AFTER the new 3DS is released? I currently only have enough money for Majora's Mask
You have to a system transfer, which is why that "trade in your 3ds to get 100 off a pre-order" is such a rigged deal. You'll lose any E-shop purchases and I think pretty much your entire account (so friendcodes, etc.)
Well shit, that's fucking dumb. Guess I'm gonna have to wait a while longer before I get the new 3DS. Seriously, why can't Nintendo just link all of your purchases to your account like every other company?

There are plenty of them that will let you take the n3DS home, transfer everything, then bring back the old system for a rebate equivalent to the money you would've saved. Just be sure to get written or otherwise documented evidence someone told you this was okay, with an employee/manager name on it.

In EB Games Australia, I paid for the New 3DS, brought it home and did the system transfer with my old 3DS XL, came back and traded the XL in to get a discount on the New 3DS. I had to ask them though.
- snip -
It seems all Gamestops are different, at mine they wouldn't let me do a system transfer when I wanted to trade in my 3ds to an xl, so I had to buy the xl first and then sell the 3ds to someone else.
you probably got more money from selling your 3ds then they would of offered you anway
Where the hell are the Europe rewards? It's just the same shit as before. Jesus christ Nintendo, when I thought you said you were going to give out some awesome rewards, I expected the rest of us to get them. Also when I see MM3D, I get sad. I really want to like it but fuck the changes.
Also when I see MM3D, I get sad. I really want to like it but fuck the changes.
what's so bad about the changes? from what I've heard it doesn't really change the core gameplay
Do you guys think there will be a Xenoblade N3DS bundle, or is it not popular enough to warrant one?
Speaking of MM changes, I can't remember if anybody confirmed/deconfirmed the razor sword being infinite. Is it?
what's so bad about the changes? from what I've heard it doesn't really change the core gameplay
They crippled Odolwa, they made the Bombers Notebook pop up each time you get new information about a quest, they changed the normal speed of Zora Link and Goron Link, they removed the ability to just get a speed boost as Deku Link before hoping over to the next Lily Pad, they removed the Song of Time saving ability, and some other ones I forgot. [editline]9th February 2015[/editline] OH and they restricted the ice arrow placement. And it shows you where to shoot it so there isn't even a bit of a puzzle to it.
Do you guys think there will be a Xenoblade N3DS bundle, or is it not popular enough to warrant one?
Just in case, I'm waiting until that game's released before I buy a n3DS. I'd be kicking myself if I missed the chance at a Monado edition.
That makes two of us, then.
, they removed the ability to just get a speed boost as Deku Link before hoping over to the next Lily Pad,
No they didn't, you just need more of a run-up with the spin. [editline]9th February 2015[/editline] If you don't like the new saving system, what's to stop you from just using the Song of Time then immediately using the owl statue in Clock Town to save?

[editline]9th February 2015[/editline] If you don't like the new saving system, what's to stop you from just using the Song of Time then immediately using the owl statue in Clock Town to save?
That is what I meant, instead of being able just to get a speed boost, you need to have a run up. Also, I prefer to save the same as the way I played it, and getting to an owl statue before the world is about to be destroyed, then using the SoT wouldn't save me, it'd kill me.
