I hope I'm home when my N3DS comes, being left outside in 20 degrees can't be good for it.
I've seen from Pat from TBFP tweet about getting about three dead pixels and Mysion's dysfunctional touch screen. Are these issues rare exceptions or should I hold off on getting a N3DS due to these kids of problems arising with other people?
Besides the back plate being a major pain in the arse, mines been fine.
Picked up the 2DS! it came with a download code for Mario kart 7 and i also bought Majora's Mask 3D! will have my friend code later on.
I managed to fix my touch screen! I ran my finger nail around the edge of the bezel and that worked!
I wouldn't worry about a few consoles with issues. No mater what the product there will always be defective ones.
Although the 3d effect seriously flickers... Any one know if that's normal?
I got my N3DS, transferred all the stuff, then tried using my screwdriver...only to realize I had a #0x3" instead of a plain ol #0. Gotta wait until tonight to get one, bleh.
Every Best Buy and Gamestop around here has the New 3DS sold out. That's what I get for not pre-ordering. SIIIIIIIIIIIGGGGHHHHH

Don't feel bad, some stores didn't even carry enough to cover preorders. Those people have to wait until mid-March unless they cancel.
it feels so natural to use the c stick to look around when Im playing MM, Ive been playing with one thumb on each stick
As expected, MH4U arrived today! Really impressed with Best Buy and UPS to get it here right on release day!
best buy please ship my MMN3DS already
Oh boy, doing a system transfer. This will take a while
Oh boy, doing a system transfer. This will take a while
What I did is do "transfer via pc"- lets you transfer only the essentials, then if you move your SD card data into your microsd, it'd be treated as the same thing!
Alright so I just got my Majora's Mask New 3ds XL... and I think there are either dead pixels or somehow dust got stuck under the screen. I see several white spots that I can't wipe off with a cleaning pad no matter how hard I try... I can even see them when I turn the system off... I can't take pictures of it since they are too small to see with my camera really.. Any ideas...?
Picture of one of the dead spots:

(Look below the A. It's the dark spot there.)
Went to gamestop for midnight release, good god the people there, there was a group of teenagers trying to act cool by spouting memes every three minutes. There was a fortyish year old man there with what looked like his five year old daughter, to get in you had to walk past the crowd of smoking twenty somethings. And lastly There was a guy in his early twenties asking everyone who walked in if they'd meet with a terrible fate. "I'm in a game stop at 11:30 with Alabama's finest it doesn't get much more terrible" is what I thought to myself. The staff was super cool and laid back. Even fired up the wiiu display with smash for the customers. Over all it wasn't terrible just good god why don't people know how to conduct themselves in public?

I'm assuming you might have to send it off to Nintendo for repairs.

Yah that's what I'm assuming. I'm gonna see if there is any way I can potentially fix this first... If not I'll send it in for repair.

I really hope Nintendo eventually makes a N3DSXL with a matte finish. I don't think I could bring myself to upgrade to such a glossy system. My friend was video chatting with me while doing his system transfer and I could see myself on his monitor in the damn reflection. :v:
If anyone here owns the Majora's Mask 3DS Theme, can they tell me if the moon moves with the time? So like it is 12 AM and it's at the every top of the screen, and then when it is 1 AM, it is slightly more to the right.

Moon does not move, it's just a static image.
Welp I can't figure out any way to fix this dead pixel/dust under screen shit on my end. Guess I'm going to call and send it in for repair or for a replacement in a day or two...
Can't be bothered to call now though. Too tired, depressed, and frustrated to be talking to people on the phone about a faulty product.

Wait it's not matte? It looks matte to me. I fucking hate glossy shit because they're fingerprint magnets.

It's only a static picture, so no fancy moon moving. Does have the Clock Tower Bell sound when you open a game/application.
fun fact: 3ds doesn't like 64gb sd cards
i learned this the hard way
I think there is a possible easter egg in MM3D referring to A Link Between Worlds, in Kafei's little hideout in the Laundry Pool there are rupees drawn on the wall next to his bed in the style of the rupees found in the game when they're on the wall.
Oh, and if anyone hasn't figured it out, you need the Goron mask to get the room key for the Stock Pot Inn instead of just being in human form. Makes sense seeing as the key is originally for that goron.

Did you format it to Fat32 with 32kb cluster size?

It doesn't. Where ever you read that was incorrect.
