The production of 1 size of faceplate is probably effort enough. Same reason they don't want to sell regular N3DS in the US. Too big a place to sell customization options for a minority demographic.
Well that's great, they're sold out everywhere and on top of that Gamestop has made even the standard ones online only. I may as well just get an old XL at this point

Pretty much new to nintendo handhelds as I haven't had one since the original GBA but can anyone tell me why the fuck Ocarina of Time 3D is still so expensive? I want it but it's pretty much 40+ quid everywhere I look, even preowned!

It's the same price there haha, probably gonna bite the bullet at some point and get it, anything else you lot would recommend? Probably gonna get Snake Eater 3D as well.

Pokemon is the worst case of this. Just getting diamond and Pearl, games that came out IN 2006, cost 25-30 pre owned a my local gamestop. HG and SS go for almost 50, 15$ more than they were when they debuted.

Shin Megami Tennis IV if it is available where you live. It is probably my favorite 3DS game.

I know how you feel. UPS is probably my least favorite when it comes to shipping.
Don't quote me on this, but if you have the tracking number and shipping confirmation, I believe you can go to their adjacent customer service center and request your item.
You might have to sign some paperwork (basically promising you won't claim they never delivered it), but unless they changed their policy within the last few years, it should work fine.

How the fuck can I get a new 3DS NOT XL with games that are still in english? I don't want the XL because a) custom faceplates and b) I always carry my DS in my back pocket and can't do that with the XL. I could get one from japan fairly easily but all games I buy need to have a language changer because of fucking region locking. Maybe if Xenoblades and any other good new 3ds product had a language select I'd pick it up, but the only game where I can find it is Pokemon.

Hmm... Hong Kong? I believe units sold there are english language by default, though A. I'm not sure if the standard n3DS is being sold there, and B. I'm not sure what region they use (I've heard mixed reports, some say JP, others say UK, etc)

I still don't understand how it's both so fast and accurate. I was intentionally waving the demo unit around while playing and it still locked on perfectly.
If/when I get around to getting one, I don't think I'll ever be turning the 3D off.
