I still turn it off a fair bit, my eyes aren't used to refocusing so much and Monster Hunter often has a lot of vivid colours turning the 3d into eye-rape.
It's still a million times better than the old 3d though, good that they actually decided to make use of the tech once they could put it in.
Kind of annoyed
that my m43ds camed to my house yesterday friday, but my new 3ds hasn't even arrived yet..
Completed MM3D last night, all 24 masks, 17 hearts & 5,000 rupees in the bank. Really pleased with the remake, still got a few things to do in the notebook and collect the remaining pieces of heart.
After finishing AAI2 I wish they'd do a Ace Attorney x Ace Attorney Investigations "crossover" where you switch between crews or something.
Hate how they keep rebooting the series and one of the strong points in the series was it's cast of characters however the new one set in feudal Japan will be 100% detached besides possible references of things to come.
It would be funny to see Gumshoe as an actually competent detective but still be unfashionably goofy from time to time.
Kay is a useless character though, she was just comic relief but we had Raymond.
Just beat Odolwa. His fight was really boring, just drop Deku Nuts and he's done. He had pretty much all of his personality removed from him, and the brighter and less atmospheric arena didn't help.
[editline]16th February 2015[/editline]
He didn't even do that thing where he has a trail of clones of him when he falls.

And I don't like that you can extremely clearly see the Giant.
Does anyone know how Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate on the Wii U compares to Monster Hunter 4 on the 3DS?
I'm relatively new to the series, I've played one of the PSP ones but sucked at it, I never managed to kill any monsters so gave up.
But I have just been playing MH4 demo on the 3DS, I enjoyed it and contemplating in buying it, just I am put off by the camera controls as I don't own the new 3ds or the circle pad pro for my 3DS so now I'm looking at MH3 on the Wii U.
What is the difference between MH3 and MH4?

MH3U on wii u is just a 1080 version of mh3u. Mh3u has less weapon types and different monsters when compared to mh4, and a bunch of other various changes that someone more familiar with both would be able to explain.

MH3U has swimming and underwater combat which sucks.
I liked it in the Wii-U version.
I don't even want to imagine underwater on the 3DS though

Yeah on the Wii U it's fine, but on the 3DS it was a pain and the circle pad pro didn't really help.
Thanks guys, I just played the demo a bit more on the 3ds and to be fair the controls aren't that awkward without the c stick and cpp. The touch screen dpad is quite manageable.
Someone on Miiverse tried to perform the 4th day glitch on MM3D and this happened.

So there's already a way to play as FDL anywhere

I recently got a New 3DS XL, and I am really enjoying it. My friends list is pretty empty though.
If anyone wants to add me, my FC is 5472-9410-0772. PM me with yours if you add me!
I play Smash and Omega Ruby!

So can you wear the FD mask outside of bosses now or can you perform the glitch in this version too?
So can you wear the FD mask outside of bosses now or can you perform the glitch in this version too?
It's a different glitch this time; I posted it on the last page but the jist of it is that you have to replace the kafei mask with a bottle using a item duping glitch, then fill the bottle with hot spring water, leave the area, and then you're FD Link
For some reason, putting the Hot Spring Water in the bottle changes it to 2:33 AM of that day, even if it's later than that. Also, if you actually have the FD mask, you'll want to put it on one of your buttons or he'll unequip it immediately.
Doors crash the game and talking to the password Bomber kid locks the game up, fyi
Since people are discussing MM3D in here I might as well post this :v:

Anyone else having problems with the c-stick? Mine gets stuck occasionally, which only affects smash (rendering gameplay ruined) and mm3d (pushes the camera up, but I can turn that one off). Is there any way to calibrate it, or will I have to return it? (Really doesn't matter at this point, considering I'm barely playing sm3Dsh and MM3D lets me turn it off, but I probably should do it within the year)

So how do you do the bottle duping glitch? Is it the same as the one in OOT3D or is there a different process.
So how do you do the bottle duping glitch? Is it the same as the one in OOT3D or is there a different process.
The way I do it is:
-Go to Mountain Village
-Put Kafei's Mask on one of the buttons and then capture a fairy in a bottle
-Tilt the circle pad slightly so that Link pivots in place
-While doing that, try using the fairy bottle and equipping Kafei's mask at the same time
-If you did it right, Link will have Kafei's Mask on when he empties out the fairy and an empty bottle will replace the mask
-Equip the FD mask to a button if you have it, if you don't have it, then the trick will still work
-Enter Darmani's grave and fill the empty bottle with hot spring water, which will cause it to be 2:33 AM
-Exit the grave room either by leaving through the exit or by warping
-You should be Fierce Deity Link now
Glitch
Yep. It worked for me. Thank you.
You forgot to mention that if you put the bottle on X and the mask on Y then the glitch has a higher chance of working.
Edit: I'm going to see if Swordless FD still works.
I thought this would be the best place to ask this. I recently had an overwhelming urge to play newer pokemon games (the last ones I've played were Blue, Gold and LeafGreen on an emulator, as you can see I'm not really up to date) simply because everything looks so improved and fun (tell me if it isn't). I was thinking of picking up a second hand 3DS off ebay because they seem so cheap. My main question is would it be worth it? I honestly don't think I'll be playing a lot, but I would like to try out other cool games as well, but at the same time for some reason buying something I know to be out of date (with new 3DS coming out) kinda bugs me.
For someone who is going to be casual as fuck and very likely to stop playing fairly quickly, is there any reason to go for the new 3DS at all? Or should I follow my instinct and grab an older one cheap?
So after a little messing around it turns out you can't make Fierce Deity swordless anymore and you can't jump up onto that hill in the Milk Road.
Edit: You can still climb on top of the treasure chest building in South Clock Town and enter the unloaded East Clock Town.

So I guess Grezzo did the "keep all the glitches because it adds to the experience" approach for MM3D like what they did with OoT3D.

Yep. Except you can't do that sliding glitch to get out of Clock Town.
Edit: Oh wow, Fierce Deity can't even climb ladders. He could do that in the N64 version.
I manged to snag a copy of mm3d but no new 3ds xl ..
Guess I'll have to wait around xenoblade 3ds realizes to get it.
Does mm3d with the c stick play like oot3d or are there new features?
If you don't have the New 3DS/Circle Pad Pro, your only method to control the camera is the L-Trigger to center it behind you, just as OOT3D.
How do I get the bottle from [sp]Gorman[/sp]? I keep talking to him with the mask on while he's asleep and he says the same thing he says when I don't have the mask on.
