help i can't stop playing mh4
go get the infinite magic milk if you just want to have fun and swim around tbh
Half my point was that I shouldn't have to do unnecessary bullshit to get something that was already there.
I might just be stupid here but how does re-downloading a game off the e-shop onto a new SD card work? Will I still have the saves from that game or is it saving to the SD card so I'm fucked?
The SD card is in the same 3DS if that makes a difference.
I had forgotten how difficult Metroid games were. Metroid II is kicking my teeth in and I can't stop playing. The no-map thing makes running around pretty disorienting, much more than original Metroid.
You think that's hard, try to play Legend of Zelda NES's Second Quest with no guide.

I'd wager any NES game with no guide is damn hard :v:
That said, I was going to get the second Zelda game, Adventure of Link, but I opted for Minis March Again. Not sure if I made the right choice..

I like the part where you have to walk through a solid fucking wall
and you have no way of knowing this is even a game mechanic
You have to WHAT!? Great, my damn playthrough now is gonna consist of touching every wall now. Not only that, you have to give the old man on some parts either rupee or a fucking heart container to able to proceed a dungeon. Seriously, why Nntendo doesn't make more Second Quest where the dungeons are completely different is beyond me.
Anyways, I'm still haven't used my coins in Club Nintendo and was thinking of buying either the first Dillon's Rolling Western or the sequel. Is it good purchase?

And here's the thing about all defences of it: they're excuses. Not justifications, excuses. You can go "it's not that much worse" but at the end of the day it's still worse and it's not going to stop being worse. I can't stand one of my favourite things about the game being blatantly ruined for no logical reason.
The Goron is an awful example because while the spike ball is faster and does damage, your roll is already extremely fast and a completely incomparable example.
And this part is completely preferences but I prefered the slower kick because it had more reach and while it was slower it had a larger window of damage and felt unique and satisfying to use, while the new combo might as well be a generic sword combo. Likewise Goron's slow attacks with a wide window of damage were more interesting than the quick one-two punch.
I think a good compromise would have been making Zora swimming even more like Goron rolling, by which I mean holding R while swimming does the old Zora swim with electric barrier like now (Goron spike roll), but when you're out of magic you lose the barrier but still swim fast (Goron regular roll). Basically, change the weak boost forward while you're out of magic with the old fast swimming mechanic. There's still the issue of draining magic just by going fast though.
I thought I wouldn't really like Pokemon since I already played the original Ruby and I'm 22, but it must have a slow boring start or something because now I'm hooked. :v:
Do the transfer from SD to MicroSD BEFORE you start the data transfer between the two systems.
Verify the MicroSD works in your old 3DS (via an adapter, frequently sold with MicroSD cards) and THEN start system transfer. If you move the data to another card after being prompted to remove it and put it in the new system, you WILL lose your saves.
[editline]21st February 2015[/editline]
> Power down old 3DS, remove SD card, put in PC
> Copy data to PC, remove SD card and insert MicroSD card inside adapter
> Copy data to MicroSD card inside adapter and remove it
> Insert the MicroSD card inside adapter into your 3DS
> Verify everything still works, and begin system transfer
> When prompted, remove MicroSD card inside adapter from old 3DS
> Remove the MicroSD card from the adapter, place it inside your n3DS
This is the only way to keep all of your data.
Weird considering my n3DS told me to transfer data from the sd to micro last and I had no problems. Then again I chose the option to copy nothing from the SD over wifi.
I'm in some desperate need of help, guys.
So after I got a New 3DS, I immediately did a system transfer from my old 3DS to my New (New) 3DS.
However none of my data from my E-Shop (DLC, Saves, ect) are there, even after I re-downloaded them.
I'd really hate to think I just lost 500 hours or so of play time...
Help?
I'd like to ask. Did you choose to do a PC-Based system transfer and then afterwards copy the "Nintendo 3DS" folder from the old 3DS SD card to the new 3DS Micro-SD card as instructed in this video?
Finally got PAL n3ds and 1st thing I did was make a custom faceplate.

RIP Rare.
So Japan got a Sega Master System and Game Gear Theme:

I hope the US gets these soon, along with the Sega Saturn theme.
Actually, Europe might get them next. Sega systems were more widely popular in the EU, with the Mega Drive beating the SNES handily in terms of market saturation, and Sonic being more popular of a character than Mario for the longest time.
I'm still hoping for the Black N3DS to be released outside of Japan.
Anyone here play Tomodachi Life?

still waiting on the gundam theme
By what means? I already did that by copy/pasting my old SD data onto my N3DS MSD via my PC.
okay
i had this happen to me because i put in my 32gb microSD card in the new system to make sure it worked in that system (although i had put in all of my stuff from my original card in the microSD card at least 2 weeks beforehand)
the microSD card has a management file that manages all of your saves and games.
this happens the moment you turn on the system. it's unavoidable, really.
what you want to do is pull out the original SD card and plug it into your PC and go into the "Nintendo 3DS" folder.
there should be two folders

take note of the folder that's a scrambled mess. that's your management file.
now take out the original SD card and put in the microSD card with an adapter.
go into the same folder and see if there are two folders that are just a scrambled mess of letters and numbers and delete the one that doesn't match up with the one from the original SD card
it should fix the issue and leave your games and saves intact. back up the stuff on your SD card before doing this, though.
once you've confirmed that it works, start getting into the habit of periodically backing stuff up. there's no reason for it but it'll help keep that stuff up to date in case you need to do this again.
EDIT: wait nevermind it appears you did a data transfer instead of a PC transfer
well maybe this will help others if this happens to them
Just got the new 3DSXL and the skullkid figure in the mail ! The figure is way bigger than I thought it would be, that's awesome!

(Xbox controller for comparison)
Now that I have a second 3DS, i'd like to upgrade my old 3DSXL with a capture card, so I can connect it to my PC, and then my projector. Is there some manufacturers that are better than others? Would you guys recommand specific european companies that can modify it?
I should probably start working on a new armor set, since the Gold/Silver Raths hit pretty hard. I'm still using the Jaggi set, so yeah.
Right now I'm using the Tetscrucabra armor and its nice
Why is there so much Monster Hunter porn?
I was searching the MH tag on Tumblr to see how the game is, but the amount of NSFW content is discouraging me to get the game.
Is the audience really horny guys, or something?

Remember, Rule 34.
I was searching the MH tag on Tumblr to see how the game is[..]
that's your problem right there tbh
search any tag on tumblr and you'll find mostly just porn

And if it's not porn, it's someone calling the game X-ist.
So i got to Nerscylla. think i need to upgrade my weapons but i haven't seemed to have found any items that makes better insect glaives at all, even worse since the weapon dulls down after a few hits on it that everything else (including mandibles) just bounces too much. armor skill point system is kinda complicated, same with the whole essence baiting.
surprised that i got this far with a mostly basic armor, some improved boots from that egg delivery quest and a mask made from said creatures. still dieing a bit too much.
