So I finally jumped the gun and got myself a N3DS XL, from my old 3DS.
And MAN, the bigger screen makes a ton of difference.
I'm noticing a ton of stuff in SMT IV, and TWEWY looks pixelated, but in a good way.
The only thing that I don't like is that it's a bit hard controlling the 3DS with only one hand. Too much weight. A pity the normal size N3DS won't come to America.
I don't understand why I like platforming games, I'm so bad at them. You guys would probably be disgusted at how many times I died in Shovel Knight :v:
So I was able to fully transfer everything, but now the back cover creaks on the corner of the power button.
Anything I can do to solve this?
I got really drunk the other night and when I got home I must have stepped on my n3ds, I opened it up to play today and I've broken the screen somehow.

I had bought a 2DS, on the day the new 3ds came out, do you guys think i should upgrade to the new 3ds or wait till Nintendo comes out with a brand new handheld??
It will probably be another 3-4 years before a new one comes out.
The nub on my MMn3DS continues to occasionally stick in a certain direction- I'm definitely gonna have to send it in at some point if I want to play games like Smash effectively. Would it be wise to transfer back to my original 3ds, keeping my games safe, or just send it in as it is and hope for the best?

It's very unlikely they'll come out with a brand new handheld after the N3DS, at least not for a long while, if they did that would be quite a bad business decision.

You can't transfer from the New 3DS/XL, to the old 3DS/XL.

I would just upgrade, the N3DS is likely to last for like 3-4 years if the lifespan of the DSi is anything to go by

Tough question. Monster Hunter has better framerate (slightly) and better textures, and has one exclusive game for it so far. I think i would wait till E3 or another Nintendo Direct to decide that. Me personally i think im waiting till Black Friday to get one.

It's kind of an upgrade you can make whenever and you won't ever feel gypped for it, but maybe you'd wanna wait till some of the exclusives are closer to coming out so you can get more use out of the new features
Haven't turned on my 3DS XL in months, decided to take it with me to college today though. Downloaded the latest update as well as Flipnote Studio 3D, and two or three free games. I really ought to use the 3DS more; it's a neat system.
Didn't plan on it, but the combined total of hours I've spent basically 100%ing OOT3D and MM3D totals 60 hours even. Definitely a February well spent.

Downloading those free games didn't add any coins to my Club Nintendo account, and unless I'm horribly wrong my 3DS should be linked to my Club Nintendo account.
I guess I should just buy a retail game for my 3DS, the question is Majora's Mask or Link Between Worlds?
Majora's Mask isn't my favorite Zelda game due to certain mechanics, but the remake sounds like it fixed a lot of annoyances I had with the game. On the other hand, I really want to play a new Zelda game to kind of reassure me that the series isn't going downhill (yes, I didn't like Skyward Sword. Sue me).

Skyward Sword wasn't that great, it's not really an outlier opinion. Link Between Worlds is a solid purchase and I highly recommend it.
It's actually quite upsetting the west won't get that Eva theme.

I guess since I didn't actually [I]buy[/I] MH4U through the eshop, and just got the digital version by buying the MonHun N3DS then I don't have a receipt for the game, and thus I can't get the free theme.
It's kind of stupid...
it also appears that japan has a niconico icon set or something
