Sho like I'm stilll after the first mission in MH4 :o I haven't been able to play, but I was wondering what tips can I get?
Spent the past few months looking for PC / Mobile games like animal crossing but finally caved and ordered a New 3DS XL and Animal Crossing: New Leaf. Been reading through other games on the system and I'm getting more and more hyped.

Made by the RF4 team so it should be good.
been playing the endgame for rune factory 4 and DAMN [sp]rune prana[/sp] is really tough shit also i turned my 5-year old daughter into a killing machine lol this game owns
also i turned my 5-year old daughter into a killing machine lol this game owns
My favorite part of the game besides being able to cancel Christmas.
god DAMN i keep on dying to these mages who are also behind huge blocks so i can't hit them with my wind fists and my best magic only does 21 dmg to them f u [sp]venti go rot in the forest of beginnings[/sp]
I didn't know you'd literally lose all progress (ie. not just items and rupees) if you die at the end of the three days. [sp]I just wanted to enjoy the ambience of the final 6 hours ;-;[/sp]
Wait, what did you think would happen?
The same as what happens if you use the Song of Time.
So how good is Rune Factory 4 anyways? I've been looking for a new RPG to play, so I was wondering if it was worth the price of admission.
buy it
The same as what happens if you use the Song of Time.
That'd be silly. Then the only reason to use the Song of Time would be to just hurry up the process and fast forward to the first day again. Your goal is to prevent the apocalypse. You don't, it happens. That requires some kind of punishment.
If you really think about it, Majoras Mask is one of the darkest games ever made. Like, hes bringing down the moon to kill everything living thing on the planet. And it WILL happen no matter what unless you stop it. Unlike other games where "oh im going to bring destruction to earth, yadda yadda yadda but ill do nothing to stop you on your journey to stop me." nothing happens or doesnt matter in the game until the end, while in Majoras Mask it will happen and everywhere will die. Its kinda cool to think about.
You aren't building up to ultimately succeed like in other Zelda games. No, you're building up to finally stop failing repeatedly. Every time you return to day one, you have failed that timeline which you left; to them you merely disappear, and everyone in it is dead on the 72nd hour because you abandoned them to start over. That's... Pretty rough.

She sides with Link to slow time, travel forward and revert the world to Day 1. But I do agree that thinking you led Termina into multiple apocalypses is terrifying. I really wish others games gave a similar feeling of dread.
One of the things cut in Ocarina of Time was a feature that Ganondorf destroyed Lon Lon Ranch after failing to give him a good horse. I thought that would of been really awesome in the game and would of reminded you that a bigger power is still out there. Too bad they cut it.
Really? Damn. It would have made it quite an impact. Same could have been done in WW and the Great Fish Island. The only time you see it is destroyed. Would be amazing to help rebuild Kakariko in Zelda U. It's a peaceful village in the beginning, gets rampaged (Link could meet the antagonist there or fight hordes to give time for the villagers to escape) and seeing Link's courage, they would feel inspired to rebuild it. That would make the player feel truly engaged in the world.
Just sayin but I'm 100% sure you don't have any failed timelines in Majora's Mask. I think they all merge together at the end hence Anju and Kafei getting married even if you don't do the quest but have done it in the past and all that stuff. It's a dark game but please don't try to make it sound darker then it actually is. [editline]9th March 2015[/editline]
So how good is Rune Factory 4 anyways? I've been looking for a new RPG to play, so I was wondering if it was worth the price of admission.
It's a perfectly mediocre little game that was clearly made on a pretty tight budget. Most of the songs are reused tunes from earlier ones as are the models. The animations are pretty bad and most of the characters are about as complex as a SNES game. Also it has this kinda worrying obsession with all the girls you're supposed to fall in love with look like they're pre-teens (if you're a guy). One of them actually is a pre-teen. It's gross. That being said though it's okay when it comes to gameplay. Farming and all that is average and the combat is just button mashing but it's not terrible by any means. The final story arc you can play through though is unlocked entirely by luck and the damage curve for it is so ludicrous you'd be forgiven for turning it down to easy. Late game it just becomes a tedious grind. I'd say get Fantasy Life personally if you want a game similar to it with a bit more depth but you could do a LOT worse

Normally, I would (and was about to) assert the former. However... We have two time lines because of being sent back in time, I'm a different timeline. When Zelda sends Link back in time in Ocarina of Time using the Song of Time, that very timeline Zelda is in continues, and goes on to be Wind Waker. This would imply that every time Link sends himself back using the same song, that very time line he left continues... Well, shit. :v:
Not sure if it has been asked yet, but does anyone know if the "New Nintendo 3DS XL Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate Edition" is coming to EU and if so, when? Can't seem to find it anywhere.

There is that previously mentioned Goddess of Time, after all.

Just got New Leaf, was hoping to maybe knuckle down with a bit of fishing but the rod wasn't being sold today, so that'll have to wait till tomorrow. The new art style was a bit weird but I've gotten used to it fast. Any you guys still playing it?
