wait this is an official thing? i thought someone just posted it up for a joke
From what I understand, it's 100% real from the "interview" done of the Mask Salesman. It's been long enough for people to have said it was fake, so it looks to be real.
Also, it seems my 3DS is unavailable for online repair. Hopefully I can call support tomorrow and hope they accept it and repair it.
It's up and you can read it yourself. It's also a official account (the green arrow gives it away)
I love Nintendo for doing this huge thing with Club Nintendo, but god dammit I'm 105 coins away from the only game in the entire selection that I wanted, Wonderful 101, and I just recently bought a bunch of Nintendo stuff that came out after the cutoff date for coins :v:
How much do you think it would cost for a screen replacement for a n3ds?
wait this is an official thing? i thought someone just posted it up for a joke
Well the green checkmark implies it's an official Nintendo employee account.

There's also the 3 secret characters and the Fire Emblem Amiibos. Marth's voiced by Yuri Lowenthal, everyone else has the same VA as Smash 4.

Scarecrow is the Colonel? That's real cool.

It would be fucking hilarious if they got Yuri Lowenthal to do Japanese as a throwback to Smash.
Doesn't Yuri also play Wonder White, the stereotypical japanese guy? That's kinda funny.
Also STEAM is really good. It's rough, but it's nowhere near as bad as some people would try to make you think.
I can't believe codename STEAM doesnt come out in Australia until May

So Polygon apparently gave it a 35/100 with the reviewer saying that he didn't even bother to finish it.
I don't regret my day 1 purchase though because it's awesome.
Polygon: " I didn't finish the game, but here's why the whole game (including what I didn't even seen) is bad, letterboxed by ads for things I reviewed positively to pay my bills: "
If you want an honest opinion, watch a lets play. That's just how it works now.

There's a reason most people don't take Polygon seriously.

I don't think anyone's LPing it sadly. It's terrible lead up to launch and spotty artstyle did a ton of damage to it it seems.
I don't even think the artstyle is even that bad, after playing the demo it's just not my thing, I'm not super big into grid based strat.
I'm considering getting Monster Hunter 4.
Is it worth the money?
Well, I got the game.
Spent about 40 hours in it already.
STEAM has officially got me hooked with this new plot point. [sp]I just recruited H.P. Lovecraft's self insert (Randolph Carter) and I'm going to the white house to get the Necronomicon that Abe had hidden there.[/sp]
Edit: Oh my god getting that character unlocked his bestiary detailing the events of Innsmouth, Order of Dagon and more holy shit
So how's the waiting between turns time in the full game compared to the demo?
In full honesty it's about the same. It basically calculates every enemy on the map one at a time so if there's a ton of enemies it can be pretty slow- but as you trim them down it gets faster and faster to the point it just flashes a black screen before yelling PLAYERS TURN.
The music in later chapters is so goddamn amazing though I just use it as a excuse to enjoy it.
John never was good at hiding

How do you review a game without beating it? That's pretty much half-assing all the work you do, and that would get your lazy ass fired in a real job.
No wonder there's a shitload of "vidya game journalists" now, there are literally no repercussions for sloppy work.
Yeah thats why i only view the articles. I mainly stick to Facepunch for reviews
I can't believe i know many people who still trust these websites.
I need new friends :/

It sad. I wish we could wipe out sites like Polygon and Kotaku out and start over with new sites.

I'd rather not go quite far back to the wild west days of Gamespot blatantly auctioning off positive reviews, but I get your meaning.
Like I said, these days, if you want an honest opinion, find someone on Youtube or Twitch or somewhere who shares your tastes in games, and see what they have to say. Watch them play through the first half hour or so, gauge how much they seem to be enjoying it, and how well it seems to play from your perspective; these factors combined should tell you whether or not you would enjoy it yourself, in a way that's pretty tough to buy out (even if you pay someone to praise a bad game, it'll still be a bad game, which you'll be able to see as they're actually playing it)
If it's boring to watch, and they don't have much to say about it (or are getting irritated at it over things you would as well), then avoiding it might be your best bet. If they're having fun and it looks like you'd enjoy how it plays, stop watching and get it. Using this method since LPing became popular, I have not yet been mislead into buying a game I later regretted. Not once.

While I would not recommend him specifically - unless you agree with his very clear biases - TotalBiscuit has a good model when it comes to this, in the form of his WTF Is series; show and explain what the game is, give a good idea of who it's for, play it unedited for 20 minutes or so, and give personal impressions. This is about as honest as I think a review can get these days, and fortunately it's a model that seems to be growing in popularity.

Try starting a site maybe? Be the change you want to see and all that
Nintendo teaming up with a smart phone game company in japan to start making smartphone games, new product by the codename "nx" news coming in 2016. I believe it's probably a proper 3ds successor.
I hope whatever it is it gets a decent naming convention instead of New 3DS2 or something like that
Or WiiUMe
3ds Squared
9ds
