LA is still pretty great, I remember getting stuck in Level 7 because I never understood how the temple worked, and it took me a couple of years to find out how without a guide. That was back then in like 2000.
Dunno how well LA holds up these days but DK 94 is still pretty great. Was worried it might of aged poorly but hey that's not the case at all. Made me kinda wanna track down the GBA Mario vs Donkey Kong for more.
I'm glad i'm a 3DS Ambassador and have the GBA MvsDK, which really pisses me off why Nintendo keep making the series like that, and changed it into the Toy Puzzle.

I bought the one on the normal DS and in the time it's been from then to now literally nothing has changed. Each one is the exact same and they've all had a level creator to the point Tipping Star's gimmick is just "now you can SCORE custom levels!" That isn't a meaningful sequel Nintendo!!!
Donkey Kong 94 is one of my favorite underrated gems and probably my favorite in the Mario vs Donkey Kong franchise
I just recieved my Link Between Worlds soundtrack. [t]http://i.imgur.com/j7kfTwG.jpg[/t] It was a good last year for me at club Nintendo.
I only have 80 coins. I was so close to the 700 for Star Fox 64 3D :v:
Are there any other free things I can download to up my stars? Already done Ironfall. [editline]21st March 2015[/editline] Only need 100 stars so I can get SSS and one other.
I called up nintendo, it would cost any where between $35-$180 to fix my 3ds screen plus a $35 appraisal fee. It could end up costing more than just buying a new one.
last time (and by that i mean at least 5 years ago) the appraisal fee only applied if you said thanks but no thanks and took back the console without letting them repair it
I've been neglecting some games since Majora's Mask 3D came out, I need to get back to them. Dream Team and Tales of the Abyss's port. The MC's most endearing character trait is that he fucking hates their mascot animal, which is very good because I hate mascot animals and particularly this one. Tells it to shut up constantly, refers to it only as "thing", bludgeons an enemy with it, generally wishes it would go away. WHich it should, considering it's a waste of space that nearly got its entire species killed with its own stupidity. Naturally the rest of the party shits on the main character for daring to dislike their adorable mascot animal, please buy the plush toys and assorted merchandise. Fuck mascot animals. Having them is a Japanese trope I hate.
Don't you mean Abyss? Or did I miss Symphony having a mascot and also a port.
Ugh, I had "the one with the 3ds port" and "the one that everybody likes" mixed up. It doesn't help that Abyss has a fucking musical theme.
So having never bothered to do the whole Nintendo club thing, I decided since they're getting rid of it to use up all the codes I had, so now I have 4200 stars, http://stars.nintendo-europe.com/ Heres the Europe catalogue, what should I buy? I only have a 3DS so no Wii U games but the Europe selection for 3DS is lackluster(apart from pullblox but I have that already) compared to the US. Maybe I should just get that Mario hat since I have just enough for it. Also is the EU catalogue going to update with new stuff at all? or is this it now until it shuts down?

It doesn't help that Abyss has a fucking musical theme.
Fair enough, though may as well say that Abyss is probably one of my favorites of the Tales games. It's full of dumb nonsense FONONS and it's obvious that it's the Tales team first crack at 3D battling but it's still pretty good and it has some strong character growth in it with one of my favorite boss battle themes in the late game. It's a good choice. [sp]While I adored Symphonia when it came out I have a hard time going back to it. It feels a lot more clunky and limited these days and the characters are pretty generic.[/sp]
The regular-sized New 3DS is now going through the FCC, meaning a North American release is probably incoming. Even more interesting is that the test pictures show something new: The buttons don't match the Super Famicom/EU SNES controller like the JP/EU N3DS, and instead match the colors on the amiibo and "New" logos. [editline]dasfg[/editline] Correction: These documents are from six months ago in September, and are only available now due to the confidentiality embargo running out. I wonder if this means they had plans to release it all along but didn't due to the port strikes? I had a feeling they would eventually anyway.

They ask too much for those games.
Colourblind people are going to have a fun day guessing the colours of the buttons
Y: Eyesearing Yellow X: Sky Blue A: Probably Pink B: Green? Orange?
Y: Eyesearing Yellow X: Sky Blue A: Probably Pink B: Green? Orange?
CORRECT! last one is orange
Either way, get ready for the surge of extremely petty people swearing they won't buy what they demanded Nintendo offer them just because the buttons are a different color.
y looks more like a green to me but its still yellow-green so
Y: Eyesearing Yellow X: Sky Blue A: Probably Pink B: Green? Orange?
Y looks green to me, and by copying the amiibo logo colors from the amiibo site, we get: The actual buttons look brighter, but that could just be the camera quality.
The photo was taken in an extremely bright radio-interference testing room. The colors could well be less offensive than they appear in that image.
tbh I hope the standard comes to the US. I'm not getting the XL for a really long time because I don't WANT the larger screen. would much rather have the face plates.
Looks like Cliffy B, in an attempt to become relevant again, has decided to attack Nintendo:
Who the fuck is cliffy b
Who the fuck is cliffy b
A video game developer who used to work for Epic Games. He's known for his work on the Unreal and Gears of War games especially. Forever an asshat.
If you aren't aware, an update is out for the 3DS. It adds a "HOME Menu Layout" feature which allows you to save and load different layouts for the HOME Menu, but also silentely makes older 3DSes compatible with amiibo. https://www.nintendo.com/3ds/system-update The amiibo update also adds support for the NFC Reader/Writer peripherial (obiviously), which means that a release should be comming soon. Interesting stuff to note is that you can update the peripherial. Otherwise it's the same thing as it is on the new3DS.
To add to that, on legacy 3DS systems, you must use the reader peripheral at least once (via the new sub-menu in Home Menu Settings) before in-game functionality (like SSB3DS' amiibo menu) appears.
I hope the peripheral isn't too expensive, I kinda want to use my Captain Falcon on my own 3DS.
Quite frankly it's pretty much guaranteed that somebody will find an alternative (maybe before the real thing even comes out) once people figure out how the peripherial is supposed to work. The thing works with infrared and so does the Wii U gamepad, so theory says it should work as a reader given the right settings. I believe it's just a matter of time.

In the Japanese version of the update, you can also set badges as folder icons instead of the single-letter default. They really need to bring this 'game' over to the west already. I've been collecting all of the badges and they've already released way over a hundred. That'll be a hell of a lot of catching up to do for the west.
